Anyone on here from Furcadia?
Is there rp going on there anywhere? Are there any off - shoot discords that have active rping?
I'm just trying to find if anyone is still out there and where they write now?
Do you want to connect? Or even if you just have suggestions, that'd be awesome too! I'm not even sure if anyone from Furc is still around here.
You can always discord me: essiew

There are many people from Furcadia around here. Including me. But I took the bitter decision not to return to Furcadia anymore. How I write nowadays doesn’t fit anymore there. I were mostly on Furrabian Nights, but that was ten years ago, even before second dreaming. I do prefer here, an adapted pace and some deeper going stories.
There are few other places that seem more active, be sure that here is enough going on.

Oh? Did you find the pace on furcadia to fast? I really liked the fast paced roleplays vs longer drawn out forums roleplays. As for deep stories, I had some very long connections and deep stories on furcadia as well. I found a really big community that I liked where I could connect with the same characters often, allowing me to form life long bonds full of adventures.
I have no doubt I could find rp here, but I do long for multi-player rps which I find are harder to arrange than one on one.
Yes, the pace got too fast and you need to be online all the time. I had a few things going on with different players, there’s even one that followed me here. But, no, I can’t anymore and do prefer like it’s now. I shed a tear at my decision, but it had to be.
Yes you’re right, multiplayer is quite hard to settle, it needs a few more rules that everyone accepts. But it is not impossible. Many groups here are build like multiplayer RPs but slow version and multilayer, same people at different places.
I don’t doubt that there’s still a large community on Furcadia, it is still the longest lasting MMORPG in the world (Guinness certified) and one can have really lot of fun there. I’m too old for that, doing night shifts online and stuff like that…

Oh Yes! I do understand the online aspect of it. For me I have a dedicated amount of time to be online and that was that. Which meant shorter rps, or leaving at a point and continuing at a later date. I don't like feeling like I have to sit around all the time waiting for rp. I found that to be an issue within the last 10 years than prior to that. There was always public rps happening that you could jump in to. Forums/discord is definitely better for accessing rp immediately. I think I struggle the most with remembering to post and staying interested. If a rp goes too long in one scene, it feels exhaustive and it feels like things aren't progressing or moving.
I still hang out there
There are plenty of Furc folks scattered about, largely on various forums and Discord servers! Unfortunately the need to be online at all times on Furcadia and the need to keep up short, real-time posts is something a lot of us outgrew, unfortunately, especially with various jobs, families and time zones in play. I still miss it!
There’s still nothing like it though, and I still like building up little dreams every so often when time allows.

yeah it is hard to get on consistently and rp consistently with jobs and stuff i guess.. in my dream we try to plan out events and run into that issue. i actually never did well on forum or discord rps. if something like rp isnt happening ""Now"" i tend to forget to post or lose interest because something that could take and hour is taking weeks.

Yassss! I saw you in AI earlier today! You were bird on bird. I was on Doily.
I'll have to visit your dream!!

I recognize a few of your characters! I'm going to have to go wondering around to find more people. I just notice a lot of them seem to be in the feral or dog pound type dreams and I'm not sure thats what I'm looking for.
If you find you are craving a little rp, let me know!
I miss furc. v.v I was gone for a while, appears it ... well, let's just say I'm lucky to see ~3 people, not afk, in any dream. The only place I've really seen people talking is in the fire pits in furn - I've looked all sorts of places! I regret not being around for what feels like the end.
We out here. You and I hung out in AI for a couple of hours yesterday!
The drop-in-and-write potential was really unmatched. I know for a fact that a number of people miss not only this, but the medium of the game itself, which hasn't changed much. I'm one of those people. I'm also like you in that I do better motivationally when I'm live writing scenes with an endpoint in sight, even if it's just based on available time. Better things than Furcadia exist for the needs of the other type of roleplay, of course, so it looks to me like the floor is wide open for the re-formation of a community of roleplayers who prefer this style. Seems to be a rarer breed, but you only need a few people to make a scene, as it were.
There were a few Discords for a while but all the ones I popped into are pretty dead, at least on the actual roleplaying front. If any activity was occurring, it was in DMs. The actual mechanism of Furc's decline was a terminal case of social fragmentation/isolation, and the process kept going wherever the people went afterwards.

It was very nice! I actually ventured out on a couple of alts and chatted with some people. I found some discords that are based of furcadia dream and people still roleplaying! I've definitely found people who are still interested and passionate about the unique qualities of furcadia. The real-time based rps that for sure keep my interest better due to the endpoint. Now my next step is to find a place and a character that will fit in and start to actually write again. For some reason that I thought finding people was going to feel like the more daunting task. Alas, I am afeared it is not.
The dream that I pop in on is Olmeid, furc://olmeidllopek:coastofata/ . We're a small dream, but we're all friendly if you ever feel like dropping by.
Because of everyone's varying schedules, sometimes we've had to pre-plan out when to rp bigger plot stuff based on everyone's schedule- it's actually very helpful! That way, even if someone only has a day or two free a month, they can still get involved in dream-wide plots. But people are still around, mostly in the evenings, for random encounters too.

Thank you for the invite! I will definitely swing by!

haaaai!! Yes i remember you!
I took a very fast glimpse yesterday into the Furrabian Nights, and I saw still the same people around and the same activity going on. I didn't stay long enough to find new characters, but I recognized many I once contacted.
I hope you all find a nice dream where you could gather and play, the name Lizbeth Redwood will not be of that party.
Damn, got a bit nostalgic feelings about that, but I decided not to and I will not return to Furcadia. Have fun there

Oh gosh, Hi!!!! I’ve been wanting to fiddle with dream making again. My love for game maps started with Furcadia.
