I'm a veteran roleplayer and have been writing for the past... Uh, geez... 15-16 years?
Anyway, life has its ups and downs and twists and turns, but I find myself more and more interested in getting back into writing. So, here I am, ready and eager to find writing partners and generally feed that creative part of my brain, that I can't feed through DnD, reading or video games. You'd think that was enough, but I guess not, haha.
So! I'm happy to be here and happy to be part of something grand here. My main interests are fantasy/high fantasy and some 1x1 stuff if the pitch is right.

To be honest, you get very far with "Skål" in the Nordic countries! I'm happy you remember something.
I promise I won't go a-viking and keep my raiding to a minimum - limited to raiding the LFG posts on here.

It sure is! LotR was my introduction to medieval fantasy when I sat down with my dad and watched the movies at uh, age ten, or something? And it's been with me ever since. Been a while since I did a reread (and rewatch), though.

LotR blew my child mind when it came out. I ate the first book at age 12, even though Tolkien's books can be quite... laborious. I made a habit of reading the trilogy once every year since.
You should definitely do a reread and even more definitely do a reread! Tolkien's works may be laborious by the linguistic gems hidden in those books are just... magnificent!
