Howdy all! I'm obviously new here, but I'm not new to Rping, I've been at it for 20 years. (Yes I'm old, deal with it *sunglasses*) I'm from Australia, I'm an author, but I don't write pages of posts in my RP. I just can't do it 90% of the time.
I like things and stuff, Deadpool is my spirit animal and I'm a gamer. I'm just here lookin' for good active RP. I love fantasy, post apocalyptic, Steampunk stuff. I don't mind modern, and I don't really fandom RP much. I do both 1x1 and group RP's, I don't bite! Just hit me up.

Welcome welcome! There are a whole bunch of members who fall within your age group so don't worry too much about that. 
A lot of people roleplay in groups, so I recommend you check out some of the genres you mentioned under Community > Browser Groups. The RP Finder is good for 'instant fixes' and the Looking for RP and RP Discussion forum boards are plenty active for some good old fashioned browsing as well.

Thanks! I RP with any age, most people think I'm in my early 20's anyway. Hah. I'll have a look around once I'm a bit more awake and see what happens. I have two self published stories, a children's fairytail (alas I can't draw good enough to illustrate it), and a young adult coming of age story. My username is also my PenName and both stories are on Amazon and Mournful Strings, the YA novel is also on Smashwords. 
As for games, I play things like the Sims 3, Skyrim, Don't Starve, Assassin's Creed as well as MMO's like WoW and GW2. Although I've had no net at home for 10 months so I've barely been able to play my MMO's. 
BUT soon I'll be able to play them again!

I, also, rarely write pages and pages of text in my RP poses. Although I certainly can do it, I mostly don't feel it's necessary and don't think I have anything to prove (or that it proves anything to begin with!). The length that moves the plot forward enough for others to have something to react to, but not so much that they feel hurried or skipped, is the right length in my eyes -- whether that's one sentence or 300! So no need to feel self-conscious on that point.
