The Looking for RP forum is a great place to look around for openings and post your own ideas, and the Find RP tool is good for more set ideas and only shows stuff from recently active people (past 10 minutes, I think it was). It's also generally acceptable to just PM someone that strikes your fancy and ask if they'd be up for a game.
And if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
