During my stint here at RPR, I've always used the text box provided to type out my replies and all, but I've always thought about maybe using a typing program somewhere else and then copy/pasting to here. The problem is I've always been nervous to do so (even with my bagoodles of RP experience).

And I want to know:
Do any of you guys use that method, or any other method? If so, I'd very much like to hear about it. And maybe adopt one or two.

I type out my posts in the post box, namely because I do mine all at once. Helps with any formatting issues for me as well. Even posting from my phone, it's worked out well for me, especially if I'm looking back to reference stuff

I use either Word or Google Docs because of spelling and grammar checking before I post. I think my longest post was 57 lines.

I just use the box here on rpr, but on other forums--specifically those that need word counts--I use WordCounter.com . In any case, I use firefox, so it saves whatever I type in case I accidentally navigate away from the page mid-post.

I might use a word document for a starter post, especially if I have a feeling that it will be a longer post that I would normally write, but it's mainly because I'm afraid that I might somehow lose the post before submitting it.

Otherwise, I normally just post in the post box. Depending on the reply I've received, I might just reply from my phone but otherwise I'll save it for when I get to my computer. I always copy the text before submitting it, just in case my internet dies, so I'm certain I won't lose the post.

I have never used another program for my role playing, regardless of where I'm role playing at. The MOST I'll do with regards to copy/paste is save a description of my character for that first post, or perhaps a certain entrance if I'm playing in a chat style site.

Otherwise, I type it as I do. I never respond to a role play unless I have the time to back it up. I also do my best to make sure that whatever system I'm using doesn't have crash problems.

Depends on where I'm writing, really. If I'm doing something with a smaller buffer - say, public posts in Furcadia - I'll usually slam something out in a Notepad file so that I don't lose bits of a larger post by accident. Anything else, I'll usually just do right in whatever posting window I'm using. I usually always select-all and copy just in case before submitting a thing, however! I've had too many posting errors in days-gone-by to neglect that now, hah.
