Verin (played anonymously)

Verin smelled the air and growled and he quickly hopped off his horse and his hand drew his son over blade once more. Verin moved his hands to a pouch and then poured a helping of ogroid oil onto his blade, the thick liquid pouring off his blade for a moment. "We have a pest problem Sorceress," he said flatly as he grabbed a grapeshot bomb and pulled it from his belt and held it in his left hand. Like an animal, verin began to creep through the woods without even making a creak, it seeming he had disappeared to those without the utmost training as he moved his was through the woods quietly. His eyes scanned the forest, easily adjusting to the darkness, his ears listening for even the slightest hint of breathing and murmuring. This must have been a rare breed of goblin. They were mostly underground pests that annoyed humans more than anything else.
Vivian Corallis (played anonymously)

Vivian slowed her mount to a stop before she slung her legs over, and landed on the ground with a light thud. She reached to her hip, slowly unsheathing her dagger and nodding. "Mmhm." she said in agreement. Folowing close behind him through the woods, she proved to be nimble and light as she walked in the balls of her feet. Good qualities for the theif she is. Vivian's red eyes flicked across the trees and ground, keeping a trained eye on anything odd.

"Well, Witcher, our top priority is getting to the dragon. Meddling with these pesky goblins will only delay us further and make our slim chances of success even more slim." She said quietly, glancing over to him. "We should be careful to avoid disturbing anything, and head straight to the dragon."
Verin (played anonymously)

"We won't get by easily unless we cuase a distraction of some sort...," He said, his eyes watching the group until he saw a cave troll scrounging around for food in the woods, a rare sight for the rockdwellers. Verin moved his fingers in a motion and whispered the command for Axii. Then he smirked at the dumb beasts. "Attack," he said quietly and the troll said

"Tiny men good food-foods," it bellowed out before starting to charge at the goblin lines, it's stone like hide making the attack easy as any crossbow bolts and steel weaponry would bounce right off it. It was hungry, so even if Axii wore off it would fight.

Verin smirked and looked at her. "Distraction made,"
Vivian Corallis (played anonymously)

Vivian watched curiously as the troll engaged the goblins on his command. She smirked and nodded slowly before looking at him. "Handy." She said, watching the scene for a moment longer until she eventually looked along the treeline, then nudged him with her elbow and pointed towards the naturally wide-mouthed underground entrance. She glanced over to him. "Follow my steps through the shadows, Witcher, and we should make it across the clearing with no problem." She said as she moved through the shrub to the very edge of the treeline.

There, she crouched down, and narrowed her eyes slightly. Her eyes flickered varying shades of her usual red, and the veins in her hands shimmered a dark red. This deep crimson in her veins and arteries spread to the rest of her body; her neck, arms, legs, chest back. Whatever skin was visible, crimson could be spotted somewhere. This was Vivian enhancing her already high physical attributes to allow her muscles to become faster and stronger. With these improved muscles, she slid one foot back, and dashed forwards. Even as she was able to dart so quickly across the clearing, her footsteps were light and well-placed, keeping her figure shrouded in the night's darkness.

Only when she came to a stop against the back of one of the goblins' tents did the blood running through her body return to it's usual color and her eyes go back to being the lifeless red. She peered back over to him to see if her was following.

Darting here and there around an encampment tents reminded her momentarily of the time she'd snuck into a medium sized militia encampment she'd come across. Though, after having stolen the expensive weapons she could later sell, the next thing she knew, she was gagging the militia general with her spare women's blouse, tying in the back, and leaving him to be found so they can tell that he was subdued by a woman. She never plans doing things like this. They just happen, she claims. As childish as it was, she found it amusing.
The sounds of battle brought Mersoth's attention back to the doors barring the heroes entry. His time was further shortened, but he could lengthen it. He called Grubish and told him his plan.

The goblin chief readied the hounds for release, giving them orders to find the supposed intruders within the walls. The goblins that did not participate in the battle continued their work in their required fields, the defenders creating a barrier that the troll could not penetrate. The hounds were having less success, not noticing where the heroes were at that time.
Verin (played anonymously)

The Witcher moved with a great amount of grace across the clearing, following the Sorceress with ease, him not even making a sound as he moved over branches and twigs and traps with years of practice with each and every step. Verin saw one of the hounds and it growled, right as it got ready to bark, Verin's fingers moved in the Axii sign once more. His eyes flashed a bright white for just a moment and the dog sat and wagged his tail. "God boy, lead them off us," he said softly to it. The dog stood and then ran off to another area to start snarling and barking and raising a ruckus in the halls as if there was an intruder somewhere else. Verin took a soft breath and then put his hand on one of his silver throwing knives as a just incase as the dog growled and barked at a tent. Verin watched as some of the Goblins went to it and then the Witcher looked at Vivian. "This time you follow me," he said, whispering. Then Verin waited for just a momment when the goblins dispersed in the area and like a wraith, he moved across the ground, almost as if he was floating, him stepping and jumping off one rock and onto another ledge and quickly pulling himself up. HE was going to climb his way through the caves in the mountain and take higher routes.

Vivian nodded in response. She watched as the hounds drew the goblins' attention away from their position and smirked. Clever. She looked at him, and kept close behind, able to keep up with him easily. As Vivian followed his route, she looked at him. "So, Witcher, what's your name?" She asked him, her dagger still in her hand.

Vivian momentarily thought about why she was here. She wanted to say to save the girl, but was that true? Did she really care whether the girl got out alive or not? Maybe she's just interested in how it'll play out. Vivian didn't have any sort of feelings for the girl or the witcher. In fact, if she felt, she would just turn around and leave. Still, she carried onwards, deeper into enemy territory.
Verin (played anonymously)

Verin took a breathe as he moved over the rocks, him looking at her as they slipped into a small auxiliary cave that seemed to be abandoned, in this cave, vErin felt safe to speak, him looking at her and grinning. "My name is Verin, of Novigrad," he said, the grin fading as he moved through the tunnl and frowned when it looked like it came to a dead in. then Verin looked up and then he used the wall as a kick pad and then began to crawl up another small tunnel, leading higher up.
They were gaining ground, Grubish realized. The hounds were rendered useless, the majority of his men attacking a troll, and the threat Mersoth warned him of had not yet shown itself. He began to worry for his life, fearing that his failure would result in his death. He tried to open the doors to the treasury, finding them locked harder than they had ever been.
Vivian Corallis (played anonymously)

Vivian nodded in response. "Verin." She whispered, as if trying to get herself to remember the name. She puckered her lips and watched him kick off of the wall. She smirked and nodded. "You're very agile, Witcher. I'm impressed." She commented. Vivian took a run forwards, kicked off of the ground and quickly managed to scale the wall without kicking off of the wall. It was a quieter technique, but less efficient. "I am called Vivian." She brushed herself off, and continued following him
Verin (played anonymously)

Verin nodded and moved to one of the cave walls and looked around it. As he did, he saw the goblin trying to open the door and he took a breathe and watched the beast try and open the door. IT seemed to be in a panic, so Verin just pressed himself back against the wall and waited for it to go somewhere else, his eyes narrowing as he set his hand on his silver sword, just in case. His breathing slowed as he waited for just a moment to catch a feeling for the world. He sniffed the air once more and then listened to every slight noise around him. Then he ran once more across the caves as the goblin was trying to open the door, if he turned around, Verin would throw a silver knife into his head with ease, if not, he would start moving up higher to near the top of the peak, he was in no mood to be distracted or stopped at this point, he needed to save Eve and he would certainly die trying if he needed to. After a while he picked up the sent that was unique to dragons, only described by those who had survived their wrath, a stench of sulfur, fire and ash, without the ting of steel that forges tended to have. Verin felt around his pouches as he pulled out the bottle of Dragonid oil, took a thunderbolt and Swallow potion and then cleared his mind. He was getting ready for a fight and he assumed, that knowing how gung ho those dwarves were, they were going to be here with the rest of the mercs soon.

Suddenly the door exploded, sending Grubish away, him hitting a wall and falling on the floor, unconscious. That's when Evellienn ran through the dust, blood pouring from her nose, running towards the big balcony. The dragon told her her friends were here. But they had no idea how powerful this dragon was. She had to warn them. Everyone from the inn should just turn away and run. Coming here meant their certain death.
Another step towards the balcony. She felt dizzy. Another step. Her heart was about to explode. Another step. Blood stained her clothes. Another step. The world started to spin. Another step. She felt weightless... and then... only darkness.
The girl fell in the middle of the corridor, pale, barely breathing.
Verin (played anonymously)

Verin saw her laying on the ground and immediatly went to check on her, his hand wiping the blood away from ehr nose as he breathed out. "Damnit," he said softly, going to scoop her up. Verin's eyes lingered on her as he gently picked her up, then his head turned and he went to look into the room, trying to catch a peek of the dragon.
Vivian Corallis (played anonymously)

Vivian stared at the girl for a few moments, watching her collapse. She frowned and quickly followed Verin over to the girl. "I told you she'd be alive. Maybe not for long though.." she said, watching him scoop her up. "We need to get out as fast as possible now, though. Focus on getting out." Vivian slid her dagger back into its sheath behind her back, then raised a hand to her tachi, hoving above it. The sword rattled in its sheath, almost growling at her hand. She didn't pull it out, keeping it ready.
Verin (played anonymously)

Verin started to walk with Eve in his arms, after a few moments, it broke into a fill Sprint as he showed how fast he was while he was running through the halls. A goblin tried to stop him, but Verin casted Axii once more, it firing it's crossbow into another one and then
Throwing too much call into the furnace, cuasing it to belch out flame into the hall, setting scaffolding alight. In like a their, out like a bandit. Verin was. Bringing truth to those worlds with every step
Mersoth, enraged with this act of defiance, chased them down the halls, his anger fueling his desire to recover his heir. "YOU WILL BURN!" he roared, blasting the halls with flame hotter than the magma flows of the forges.

Grubish, recovering from the blast, swiftly ran to the overheated forge and began the cooling process, attempting to save this lair from destruction. After that, he gathered the goblins, who had just slain the troll outside, to begin the rebuilding of their ruined fortress and pride. The treasury was, strangely, untouched, as not a single gem was out of place, except the one that was kicked by the girl.

The monstrosity continued to chase them down, hunting them until they arrived at the village. They were prepared for him, launching their weapons to protect themselves. Mersoth would have to return when they were not ready. For now, with pride hurt more than body, he turned back to his lair. Before he took flight, he warned the village, "This isn't over. The transformation has just begun, and when the girl is ready, she will be mine. I will not rest until I am avenged for this day. I curse thee, humans, that I will return and destroy you. You are warned." He flew back to his mountain, knowing more than he once did, with a certainty that her soul and allegiance would be his.
Verin (played anonymously)

Verin quickly took a calm breathe and remounted his horse once they were back in town. He ran a finger gently through Evellienn's hair, him scared for her life. The town was in a war path of panick after the dragon's attack. Verin was just ready to leave, he needed to Keep Eve safe and so in his mind, they safest place was away. He looked at Viv, bowed his head and then began to ride along the road to Novigrad. He urged the horse to gallop, him holding onto Eve with one arm as the horse kicked up mud and filth behind him. His blades were back in their scabbards. He cared all of none about that coin any longer, he was leaving. He watched the mountain, ready to pull off at a single moments notice to ensure he had a way to avoid the Giant lizard's wrath and fire, the fire was mildly annoying. So he trusted the horse to guide them along the path so he could watch. The horse was fairly smart so he would watch the way. He would have to come back for this beast at another time, with more Witchers to ensure the beasts death. He had plans, dying to kill a dragon would ruin all of them.
Vivian Corallis (played anonymously)

Vivian was keeping steady pace with him, batting off any goblins that tried to prevent them from leaving easily. She sliced them down, flung throwing knives at them, anything to keep them down. Once they'd made it to the horses, Vivian looked up at him, nodded back, then flung herself up onto the other horse. Quickly taking it's reigns. She wasn't sure why she was following them, but she was anyway, like she were committed at this point.

Vivian kept near them as they rode off, her hand on the hilt of her katana. "Tell me this, Witcher. Where are we going?" Then she stopped. "And.. I suppose I should ask if it is unreasonable to follow you?

The girl slowly opened her eyes. The first thing she saw was Verin and she calmed. Then the blue sky. She felt tired, very tired. It was hard resisting and breaking the dragon's spell. She was exhausted and weak. Then she looked at the sorceress. She reminded her of something. Something she never had, something lost when a new life began.
-C... - she tried to stand up and say something - come with us, ple...
Eve wanted to say more, but the world spun and she vomited small amount of black liquid on the ground. She fell back in Verin's arms, looking at the mountain behind him. Then she squeezed her eyes shut, remembering everything the dragon told her.
Eve looked at Verin with a little disappointment in her eyes.
- I need to go to my... father's house. Please.
