Kat reached the bunker and knocked on it quiet from the outside but loud from the inside.
"It may sound dumb but when I was younger, I had terrible nightmares. I saw people I knew and loved dying. Their faces shriveling up, rotting. It was almost as if my nightmares were predicting the apocalypse. Recently I seem to have been getting these nightmares more frequently. I know, it sounds stupid but... I don't know" I say, sighing and staring at the door.
Kat waved to him in a cutsey kind of way as the sun shinded behind her makeing her shadow and said “Hey James miss me?”.
She buried her head in his back. "It's not stupid. I have the same problem." She kissed his shoulder. "I know the feeling."
Kat put her hands behind her back and said “Yes????”
"Heh, glad someone can relate. In my old school, word got out about my problem and it didn't exactly ruin my reputation but kids would sort of tease me, pretend to be zombies. Imagine their reaction when the apocalypse came" I laugh slightly to myself.
She smiled tiredly. "Karma is an asshole." She chuckled.
Kat hugged him back and smiled.
Kat didn’t answer truthfully she just said “I was uhh trapped in the city”
"Yeah" I sigh. "We should probably get some sleep, we can at least get another hour or 2 before we wake up again."
"Prolly." She smiled and laid back down on her side.
Kat giggled alittle bit and said "No worries he got killed by a falling rock"
I swing my legs back onto the bed. "I would say good night but we'll most likely get an hour or two of sleep"
"It's okay." She smiled and kissed his cheek, curling up against him.
