Nikita agreed with Nomti but decided not to admit it, "I don't know.", she shrugged. She had no idea. She flipped over in Andrew's arms and looked at him. She liked his change in attitude. She suprisingly didn't blush.

Andrew on the other hand, was blushing a deep crimson although it was mostly hidden by his black fur. He half expected her to push him away now, but when she didn't, he rested his forehead against hers.

This time, she thought about pulling away, but didn't. "Why are you being so nice to me Andrew?", she asked, puzzled.

"Why shouldn't I be?" he asked in return, "You're brave and beautiful, and I don't doubt you're smart if you've been living on your own."

Nikita blushed, "You think I'm beautiful?", she asked. She had never heard a boy say that to her before. Nkt even her own father before he died. She liked Andrew but wasn't planning on admiting it anytime soon.

His blush had grown deeper and didn't doubt that Nikita could see it even through his fur. He nodded, "Well... Yes, yes I do. You're more beautiful than almost all the girls back in my tribe," he smiled and thought about giving her a quick kiss but decided against it.

She gently kissed his cheek, "Andrew, that's really sweet.", she was blushing now.

He felt like his cheeks were on fire now and he gently stroked the back of her head, "It's only about..." he looked into the sky, "Just before high sun. There is still much of the day to waste. What should we do?"

"Hmm...", she began to think. "Well, I like swimming. Is there a river nearby?", she asked. Swimming had been one of her favorite activities since she was a kid. She also liked to ride horses, but figured there were no horses around here.

"Well, there is one but it's not deep enough to swim. It's more of a stream and it's where I get my water."

"Oh. Well then I have no idea.", she said, thinking. One of her ears twitched. "Well, I know it's a bit childish, but we could play hide-n-seek or tag.", she suggested with a smile.

"Not a good idea to get separated right now. Those wolves might try again of we're separated," he said quietly and gently stroked the back of her head, lightly running his fingers from the tips of her ears to the base of her neck, his fingers running through her hair.

Nikita lightly blushed, "True.", she said quietly. She smiled at Andrew and began thinking harder, "Hmmm...", she said in her mind. Her favorite animal used to be a wolf, until now. And it had nothing to do with her being part wolf.

"Well... It's a bit far away, but there is a lake. There's a thick rope tied to a tree. We could go there," he offered.

"Sure!", Nikita said, happy to do something.

"Alright," he smiled and somewhat reluctantly stood, enjoying the position he had been in with her. "It's about an hour long walk," he said and stretched, grabbed his spear and knife and made sure all his food was tied too high to reach.

Nikita got to her feet, "I'm okay with that. I like hiking.", she says, looking around. She had enjoyed lying close to Andrew. She hadn't been that closed to anyone in a long time.

"Here," he handed her another knife, smiling at her as he did so and started walking to the south.

Nikita held the knife in her hand, "Thanks.", she said, following after behind him, trailing behind him a few feet.

He slowed to her pace so that he was walking next to her and smiled softly.
"So... Tell me a bit more about yourself."
