Something lurks beyond, within the night, inside the dark, foreboding shadows. Something unknown to the eyes of civilization is there, waiting and watching for the right moment to fully emerge. It grows in power unbeknownst to many, searching for patrons. It will take by force, or by a negotiation, but once it has eyes on you, it wants you.

The Beyond is a PG-13 fantasy roleplay group that will take place on Discord with 10 other players. You character was either taken by force or offered something to come with whatever lurks beyond. The motives as to why you were taken are unclear to you at first.
Your character must be somewhat like an antagonist, but does not need to be a fulltime antagonist character. You may use any character you wish, whether it be your own OC or a canon character from a book/tv/game/etc series, it's your choice! The only thing that will not be allowed are Mary Sues or 'snowflake' characters. Characters should not be OP in any way and can be nullified if they are determined to be so.
This roleplay is not first come, first serve. Your character will be looked over to make sure they follow the criteria before you join. You are welcomed to offer different characters to see if they fit, but please, do not get upset if you are not picked.

you will receive the Discord invite! There are limited spots, so tryout while you can.

Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.
Modern
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
