Mia nodded, deciding to believe him. She wondered if he couldn’t talk. She was starting to feel bad for hurting him.. But he had scared her, so it wasn’t completely her fault. Mia gently removed the cloth, then grabbed a needle. Attached to the needle was a small wire, made for stitches. Mia became closing the wound. Afterwards, she cleaned the blood and wrapped a bandage around his arm. “There..”

He nodded in gratitude, still silent. Honestly, he was generally awkward to begin with, and it was so quiet in here that he feared speech would summon something bad. After all, his rescuer was rather quiet as well. She must know something that he doesn't. He would certainly not be surprised.

Mia went back to the sink and sighed as she grabbed her knives. She grabbed a different testing tube after putting the blue one away. The testing tube she grabbed had a yellowish looking liquid inside of it. She poured the yellow liquid onto a bowl and then put the knive’s blade into the bowl.

Drew stood and walked over, curious about the different liquids, and what each was. They definitely were not the typical disinfectants. So, did she make them herself? Or was this some special lab acid.

Mia noticed him and she looked at him. “Sorry.. I haven’t seen anyone.. alive in a while.. umm.. where are my manners?..” she shook her head a little. “If you’d like to get cleaned up, there’s a shower room down the hall..” Mia suggested. She didn’t even notice his curiosity towards the liquids. She tended to forget about the natural qualities of people when they’re introduced something new, e.i. curiosity.

He nodded. He'd have to scrounge for new clothing, though. He was certainly not putting this stuff on again, it was falling to dust with every second. He did gratefully head down there, in desperate need of a shower.

Mia never had the heart to go through her former co-worker’s lockers in the shower room, so there was clean clothes in there. Mia went back to working on her throwing knives. The reason why her knives hurt him so bad were because when the blade Pierced his skin, the yellow liquid took into action.

When the apocalypse began, Mia knew people would go crazy. They’d steal and do illegal things. Just like the movies. But once the yellow liquid reaches the nerves or bloodstreams, it sends signals to all the other nerves just like the brain would... but these signals tell the nerves that the person is in pain. So the person may not physically be in pain, but the brain will think that they are. Sometimes the pain can be extreme, but sometimes it’s not as bad. Depends on how well the certain person deals with pain. Mia finished and put everything away. She also disinfected the room.

Drew found clothing that fit him after a while and headed in to shower. Oh, how great it felt to wash all of that disgustingness off his body, revealing albino skin paler than alabaster. He finished and dried off, putting on the soft new clothing and walking over to Mia, to see what she was up to now. His long hair had been tied back, and he had rebandaged the cut, having found supplies. All in all, he was certainly moving much better. He still was concerned about the thing lodged into his back, the earlier tracker. Hopefully it was not something dangerous.

Mia turned around, hearing him walk back. She was drying her hands with a clean rag and she smiled. “You honestly look like a whole different person.” She didn’t know why she felt comfortable, after all, they had just met. But she couldn’t help being kind.. it’s in her personality and she couldn’t ignore it. Mia tilted her head a little after a while. “You look uncomfortable.. is something bothering you?” She asked, forgetting all about the tracker.

He shook his head, although he did appreciate her comment about looking like a whole different person. Indeed, he did feel like one. He found a place to sit, watching her lazily. For the moment, he could think of nothing else to do.

“Erm..” Mia didn’t really know what to say, she just turned around and began putting the testing tubes in a holder, then put them in a small refrigerator. Mia looked at him. “Do you have a name?” She asked as she tilted her head. She hoped that he’d be able to talk.. maybe a little?

"Drew." He mumbled, voice slow and cracking from disuse. After all, talking among the zombies was dangerous. So he had no reason to speak. He watched her put the test tubes away, vaguely recognizing a few chemicals in that fridge, not that that was a lot. But he knew he had certainly seen them before, at the very least.

Foxy was in an abandon building, resting from fighting off monsters. She was a bit wounded, but she was kinda okay.

Mia smiled. She didn’t want to push him any further, getting him to say his name was probably hard enough for him. “I’m going to go back to testing. You can roam around if you’d like.. Uhm... Yeah..” Mia bit her bottom lip a bit. She wasn’t used to being around someone, so she was a little awkward. Especially since she had all this equipment.. She still didn’t know if Drew would try to do something.. If anything were to be stolen, her studies might be for nothing. Mia walked out of the medical room, and to the testing room.

He was sitting in an abandoned house, tying a tourniquet around his leg, a bit mark on it from earlier that day. He tightened it and grabbed a meat cleaver from a nearby table, a roll of cloth in his mouth to keep him from crying out and alerting a horde.

Drew decided to roam like Mia said he could, and headed down a flight of stairs, to a lower level. He wondered vaguely what he would find there. Maybe food. He liked food, would definitely prefer to not be as cannibalistic as he was forced to be.

A few minutes later he cleaned off the stump of his leg and attatched a rudimentary prothetic to it, wiping the blood off the floor and slumping against a wall.
