-Set in the remote village of Tanibar-
The sun in the sky was slowly setting over the horizon, leaving a soft orange hue across the sky. Local villagers were bustling through the streets of the village of Tanibar. This village was known for it's large market place, and very good bars and Inns. Some travelers even came to Tanibar just for this reason. The prices were fair, nothing was over priced, just what good adventurers needed. There was this one tavern/inn, one of the most popular in the whole village. The Wild Fire Tavern/Inn.
Y/N walks on the soft dirt road leading through the twisting paths of the village. You could tell you needed some rest. Your eyes were heavy, your stomach was growling. Just the idea of being in a warm soft bed made you smile. As Y/N looked around you spotted a very lively tavern. The soft hue of the lanterns inside drew you closer and closer. Until you found yourself at the front door. Loud booms of laughter echoed through the wooden door, along with the occasionally drunkards singing their pub songs. You looked up above the door and noticed a wooden sign engraved with the words "Wild Fire Tavern/Inn" The idea of being able to have a warm meal forced your hand to push open the door. As you look around you can see multiple tables filled with tavern patrons. The floor seemed to be a bit sticky from old ale that had been dropped. You made your way to the counter of the tavern where a large female half-orc greets you with a huge smile. "Welcome" she says in a friendly tone before scurrying off with her platter of various food items.
The choice is yours to stay, many people gather here. What will you do?

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
Modern
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Romance is desired but not required, and will balance evenly with other plot.
