“Thank you, I thought of it myself,” Joker continued. “And your superiors seem to care about your well-being, sending off for you to relax and all. It seems you are the type of person who never knows how to relax, correct? You must find yourself to relax every now and then for a young person like yourself…”
Joker placed a hand on her chest, “As for me, I came here… as an escape from reality.” The jester left it at that, probably insinuating she has some trouble back home. Or, she’s just being theatrical.

"Uncle Mathius is a nice person, miss lady." Fumizuki offers Veronica some cupcakes that she had recently baked.
Roni looked at the other girl and raised an eyebrow.
"I'm not debating whether he's good or not. I just wanna know how he knew my name..."
She would hesitantly reach out for a cupcake and force a smile.
"Uh... Th-thanks... I think."
"Oh, that? He can see into people's minds." Fumizuki looks up at Veronica, thinking for a moment. "Oh right, I'm Fumizuki, Mathius is my uncle, and my Papa Drael helps run the bar as well."
Veronica noticed the tail on the girl. She then returned her attention to the girl.
"The more I'm away from my own world, the more strange things I see. And, yet... It's still not as strange as someone coming back to life to eat you."
Veronica took a bite of the cupcake and extended her hand out.
"I'm Veronica...or Roni, if you prefer. I'm from a world that died. I'm basically a lunch box waiting to be open!"

"Huh? Lunch box? I have one here." Fumizuki sits down across from Veronica, and takes a lunch box out of her backpack. "I've got a cinnamon bagel."
Not a lot amused Roni, but she rolled her eyes trying to keep from smiling. But, to no avail. A tiny smile tugged at her lips as she let out a small chuckle.
"Not exactly what I meant, but, yeah."
She took another bite of the cupcake and sat back in her seat.
"So uh... Is this like a hub world between worlds or something? Could I, like... you know... sneak into another world?"

"Ummm..." Fumizuki thought for a moment about that before answering. "Pwobabwy, but I dunno how."
Xueqing literally walked in and greeted everyone with a wave.
"How are you guys doing?"
"How are you guys doing?"
"The same as always." Which is to say, crippled, laying on his side, and eating bread or something.
"It's hard to explain, but this is a multi-universal convergence nexus. This is a point where all universes meet. The only real rule we have here is "no fighting". People come here for food, drinks, and rest"
Veronica turned her attention to the mind reader and tilted her head a bit.
"Wait... so does that mean zombies can get in? They don't listen worth a damn, and would bite your patrons!"

*confused smol floof noises*
“I do think it is possible for zombies to get in,” Joker answered. “But the main problem from getting in is their… lack of creativity.”
She seemed to be saying that zombies are too stupid to come in, in a really nice way.
“But do not worry yourself with such trivialities,” the jester continued. “If that were to happen, assume the magic users will help to rid such a plague…”

Roni leaned forward as she listened to the red-haired one speak. Her eyes went wide when the girl spoke of magic.
"Why the hell does my world NOT have magic. Maybe I should recruit some of these magic users to take it back..."
Half joking, but kind of serious. Roni returned her attention to the little'un sitting across from her.
"That was... adorable. But I get it. I get confused about weird things too."

He brought Veronica a steak with asparagus and some herded and butter potatoes.
"They'd have to get past Drael, the big guy"
"They'd have to get past Drael, the big guy"
He picked Fumizuki up
*cute noise*
Being the stubborn girl she is, Roni looked up at the man and crossed her arms. The food did smell good. But she felt like she was opening up too much.
"How do you know I'm not a vegan?"
She looked down at the plate and reluctantly grabbed a fork before taking a bite of the potatoes. Then of the steak. Roni's demeanor changed as she relaxed a bit and looked up at the man again.
"Th-thanks..."
She then looked over to the other man that clearly looked like he was related to Nightmare, then watched him pick the girl up. She could get used to being here.

"Because I can read your mind, Veronica"
"Yeah, Mathius reads minds. It's a thing he does."
