Chardex gives Umbra a hard stare, and taps the hilt of his power sword ominously. As one, his guards reach for their weapons, but do not draw them. The implication is clear: If Umbra tries anything, a hail of Volkite rounds will sear him to the bone.

"Anyways, allow me to introduce myself. I am Chardex, a Praetor in the Alpha Legion, the twentieth in the legions of Space Marines forged by the Emperor of Mankind. Well, at present, our allegiances are undecided. The Emperor's favoured son, the Warmaster Horus Lupercal, has instigated a rebellion with some of the less favoured Legions. He has roped us in with him, but my Primarch, Alpharius, gave me a mission that was to be followed through despite the ongoing conflict."
Monika merely stared at the two, then observed the guards. "Space Marines..." She quietly said to herself.
