Anyone looking for a challenge? I've got a mute girl (and her intelligent raven friend) I've been hesitant to play, simply because, y'know, mute. And illiterate. It makes communication tricky.

If anyone's willing to deal with trying to realistically understand anything she's trying to get across (or, y'know, try to deal with her in some other way) while I try to clearly describe motions and crappy pictures (and maybe draw an occasional crappy picture)... let me know. ^^

I'm willing to work with you on how easy it is to figure out what she says. I typically tie in some thoughts and feelings to the narration, and a character like this tends to have a lot of internal dialog (and dialog shared with the raven). If you'd like more of a challenge, though, I can hide a lot of that and work more at only narrating the external stuff. (Also, if you seem to magically understanding things too easily, I might still start focusing more on external and revealing less of the internal. Because I'm mean like that.) I'm not totally against telepaths, but I will lean away from them, so you'd better have something good if you want to use one. Beyond that... it's just whatever sounds like a good match.

She's a dark ages fantasy character, though I could be somewhat flexible on that. It can be 1x1 or a group. It'd be nice to have a group, actually, if a decent set of people can be pulled together.

Random Plot Ideas!

1. There's shady stuff going down, and Raven knows about it. Which is the bigger issue - telling the "good" guys or avoiding the "bad" guys? (And hellz yeah I'm open to grey morals.)
2. You've got your own quest, and somehow got this extra poor-girl baggage. Maybe you found her on the street and took pity. Maybe she was getting mistreated at some crappy job. Or maybe you're just trying to help her out without having any idea what she's trying to say. Etc.
3. You were sent to reclaim her as the "missing property" of whoever wanted to use her as a spy. Maybe you do it, maybe you don't.
4. Something else you think of!

This sounds quite ambitious but its also quite original. I don't know exactly know what character I would use if I was to roleplay, with you, I don't exactly have any characters set in the dark ages, not anymore anyway. However, this does sound like a great idea.

Your characters seem a little more modern-oriented (at least in their clothing). I'm not sure about Nomti in particular, because he seems made for Egypt of an Egypt-alt, and Raven's more of a Europe-alt.

I can alter their clothing to fit the era ^^

Maybe maybe. You have any thoughts on the random ideas above, or any of your own for how to go about things?

Not really Europe-Europe, just Europe-esque. ^^ Classic fantasy, s'all.

That could work to get things started, though. Not sure what to think of the animal-person thing - never established them in her world, but I never excluded them either, so it'd be more a question of how common they'd be to the area.

Preference on forum/PM and who should start?

Nomti is a magical being in fantasy settings he's a protector of the dead and super fast warrior

They both seem cool. I'm guessing the urge to eat raw meat comes from being shinigami, since they share that despite having different origin races? Could you tell me a bit more about your views on shinigami? I'm aware of the term and some of the ways it's been done, but yours seems unfamiliar.

They basically watch over the balance of life and death, making sure that when it's someone's time to die that they don't go over their time. Humans are usually not a problem since they don't have any abilities to make them skip their death so they mostly deal with magic users and non-humans most of the time that somehow cheat death.

As for the way they eat raw meat, Sherren's race were originally a line of those who were to become shinigami and they ate raw meat every once in a while to keep hunger out. When he was the last one of his race, the god Will turned to humans who would work for what he needed. Eating raw meat was just an effect of going from the guardians over to humans.

I dunno they could exist but be a minority? There could he only humans since Nomti doesn't relate to Anthros/furries in this scenario and they don't need to exist for him to.

I'm leaning more towards using Sherren, he's got a better softer side to him.
Um, Sherren will take refuge in abandoned buildings when he's in a town, maybe they end up in the same building somehow, or he notices her when he in town watching over the people?

Heh, I just realized that if you count the belief that a raven is a sign of impending death, it's all death-related characters here so far.

A question before I actually put anything up - would you two care to play together, or separately?

If separately, Ohermichi - Forums or PMs, and any preference on who starts?

I'm kinda leaning towards separate RPs, but I can do one with all three of us if you'd prefer

I'm not sure how one would with the three of us would go.
