David ran down the woods. His former comrads had been following him for days " shit I'm not ready." David lumped into a tree and climbed to the top. He jumped into the air and turned into a dragon. He flew into a town and landed on the back yard of a random house. He collapsed from exhaustion

Cuda looked out from behind her window curtain. She gasped as she saw a dragon collapse and it return to the form of a man. Cuda ran outside and kneeled next to him, she shook him gently.
"Sir?" she asked.

David looked up at her " help.." David was out cold

Cuda quickly looked around trieing to see what she needed to help him escape. When she saw nothing, she put his arm around her shoulders and managed to lift half his body off the ground. Dragging him into her house, she put him on the couch with much effort.
Walking into her kitchen, she made a nice beef stew and poured him a cup of water for when he woke up. She set them down on the floor by the couch. Finally she checked his head for a fever.

David woke to see the strange woman " where am I?"

Cuda jumped when she realised he was awake. "Oh your in my house," she replied.
Taking a small step back, she didnt want him to feel as if he was crowded.

" I need to go. They will find me" David tried getting up but stumbled to the ground

Cuda caught him as he fell and put him back on the couch. "I dont know who your running from but your styaing here until i say its fine for you to leave. Your body is pushed to the max and you need lots of rest and food," she said without giving him a chance to argue.
Picking up the bowl of stew and cup of water, she handed it to him.

David took the plate and ate. He was starving he had not eaten in days " thank you" he said when he was done " but why even help me you don't know me"

Cuda shrugged and took the bowl and cup when he was finished. "Well im not going to leave you to die of exhaustion thats for sure," she replied.
Walking into the kitchen, she put the dishes in the sink and walked back over to the couch. "Get some rest and we will see how you feel afterwards. Then you can tell me whats going on," Cuda said and gave him a blanket before going outside.

David saw her go and fell asleep he had a dreamless sleep.

Cuda came back in and cooked a broth for him. After four hours of letting him sleep, she nudged him awake.
"Here," she said softly and handed him the bowl of broth.

David took it " thank you" he ate it. " I can tell your not human. Why live here?"

"I have no where else to go. So i simply hide what i am in order to fit in. Now tell me about yourself mister dragon shapeshifter," Cuda said as she sat down.

" I'm an elite. Or was an elite. My comrades betrayed me and now I run away"

"Mhm. and theyre trieing to kill you i assume?"

" yes that's why i landed in your yard."

"Well..you can stay here till you feel strong enough to keep moving. Then i wanna go with you cause i dont really get opprtunities to have an adventure," Cuda said with a sudden excited gleam in her eyes.

" I would enjoy the company"

"Good. Then its agreed," she replied with a smile. "Dont worry about me being to keep up if you turn into a dragon. Im a great flyer," she added and went into a different room.
