10 participants are invited to the mansion of a local wealthy businessman, Jason Moore, for a ball to celebrate his eldest son's graduation from college. Unfortunately, the ball is actually a killing game craftily disguised as a formal gathering. It is rumoured that the mansion is controlled by a ghost that randomly selects one victim every night. The 10 participants are required to solve puzzles and respective murders in 5 days or else they'll all die in the mansion...

Tsuki Mikage, a local detective, has decided to go to the ball in case something happens. Will you join her in solving this murder mystery, or will you perish within the mansion?

Roleplay Style

Semi-literate length in reply, meaning that at least a paragraph must be submitted in each reply since it's hard to move the RP along with short sentences. This keeps the RP from becoming boring and dying out.
Here's an example of what I expect (taken from my other ongoing RP):

Reaching over for her alarm clock, the female began to countdown to ten as she mentally prepared herself for the morning bell. She looked over to her right and found an empty bunk. It had the name Dylan engraved on it, and she couldn't help but wonder if she was expecting a new roommate today.

OR

Arabella typed in the code 1973 into the pad, and the pad emitted a ding. The password was correct!

AS LONG AS YOUR RESPONSE ISN'T ONLY LIMITED TO 5-8 WORDS, THAT IS ALRIGHT.

Elias smiled as he fixed his masquerade mask and faced the entrance, ready to take care of the guests soon entering the door. Master Kendrick and his respective family stood behind him, an eerily scary smirk etched onto all of their faces. Everyone seemingly knew something bad was about to happen.

The Moore's host was dressed in something similar to a black and white checkered suit. His mask was that of a raven's- a real Venice mask made with pure silk as well as rare jewels. He wore silk white gloves and black boots that went up to his calves. A cane resembling of a snake was seen in his hand.

"Ready?" Kendrick Moore's voice sounded behind him as a carriage arrived. The host nodded slightly as a guest was seen coming down from the carriage.

"As ready as morning dew."

Lucius, wearing his black suit with a green bowtie, put on his black and green mask for the masquerade and stepped out of the carriage. He was lucky that he was riding in the carriage instead of some higher tech vehicle created by the company he worked for: Project CORE. Sighing, he walked up to the front door of the large and elegant mansion, trying to act prepared for the long night ahead.
Juliet Witts 'Human' (played by LavaCake)

Juliet was nervous as hell. She knew this was the right place, Jason Moore's son was clearly wealthy, but, she never expected the Moore house to be so extravagant.

She dressed more formally than she ever had for this occasion. A long, black dress with a necklace and earrings borrowed from her friends, along with the mask. Formalities were never her thing, which only aided her anxiety.

Though, she started to remember Jason Moore's son. He was always a bright student, and very charismatic. Juliet always kept in touch with her student's guardians, and Mr. Moore was no different. It's why she got invited after all, and thinking of that humanized the situation. With a tad bit more confidence than before, she made her way into the manor.
Mikey was surprised that he even received a invitation in the first place, but he was grateful that he did and was pretty excited. He loved a good masquerade ball, and picked out his outfit according to the theme, ‘famous celebrities.’ And of course his look would be inspired by Gerard Way, with a black dress shirt, black pants, and a black blazer. And of course a blood red tie. To top the look off he pained a black bar over his eyes, serving as his mask. He was now ready to head to the mansion.

He left home, deciding not to take a carriage because he just felt as if he wasn’t important enough to. He just walked to his destination, knowing that the Moore’s Mansion wasn’t to much of a distance. He didn’t make eye contact with anyone he crossed paths with a long the way.

Finally he arrived at the mansion, and was pretty impressed. But a long with being impressed he was a bit intimidated. The mansion was way bigger than what he expected, and there was probably going to be a lot of people there, which means he was going to have to socialize...

“Dammit...”

But Mikey didn’t let his nerves get in the way. He quickly lit and smoked a cigarette, then put it out with his brown dress shoe. Usually a cigarette would help him calm down. Finally, he took a deep breath. ‘Now I’m ready...’ he thought to himself, smirking a bit as he walked up to the front doors. He had a feeling it was going to be a long night.
Lovelle was supposed to be going on an undercover mission that evening to retrieve blueprints for a new dangerous weapon to use again the hacker. She worked alone, but she still loved assigning missions to herself, the dork.
But, she;'d received an invitation for a ball, which had surprised her greatly. She barely recognised who it was from, as she'd met tons of people over her life. She had to think for a solid hour before remembering the host.
Even then, she was still surprised to get the invitation, and a ball? She was worried about it. She didn't think she was the ball type person, but at least she admired the theme.

Her outfit was quite unusual. It mainly consisted of dark colours but had some random splashes of bright. She'd used her favourite singer as inspiration, Halsey. She was listening to her as she was creating her dress the night before. Yes, she created her own dress and mask. She used feathers, as she wanted it to seem bird like. Birds were something she associated with freedom, and that was basically Halsey's prayers.
It was a floor length dress that dragged behind her when she walked. She dipped black feathers into multi-coloured paint. Orange, hot pink, bright blue, green and golden yellow. She then stuck the feathers onto black cloth and sewed it secure. She cut the sleeves off, and stuck very thin string over the shoulders to use as straps. The mask was almost the same, but had much more colourful feathers. The shape was like a bird, the nose stuck out like a beak, covering her tinted red lips. She wore simple black heels and curled her shoulder length black hair. She put some very weak black eye shadow on and actually produced some patience to put some mascara on. Finally, she stuck a black flower pin in her hair for give it some flair.

She debated taking a carriage, and finally decided on no. She didn't want to draw attention to herself. She also wanted to survey the place when she got there. She didn't want to get herself into trouble if she ended up hacking something. Hopefully she wouldn't have to, but maybe. She bit her lip as she started walking to the destination, a simple black leather jacket around her shoulders for warmth. She looked quite beautiful, which was unusual because she never tried to, she rarely put effort in to her appearance. But when she was going to be surrounded by posh people, she rightfully put in the right amount of effort.

When she arrived, she was blown away. She'd hacked places like this before, but she'd never seen one up close. It was amazing. She quickly closed her mouth and simply stared for a moment or so, before looking around her, noticing all the dressed up people. She looked down at her own dress, feeling her stomach flip. Her eye twitched slightly before she picked up the sides of her dress, walking up the stairs and into the beautiful building.
Aeon read the letter several times over with a smile on his face. He was excited to have been invited, albeit confused slightly that he of all people would have been invited. He was a smith of jewelry, so he had some reputation with people of more class, so maybe that was it. Regardless he grabbed his best jewelry, a necklace with a dark purple and dark blue gemstone, and donned a traditional white and purple masquerade mask. With a white suit and matching light gray coat on top, finished with a dark blue bow-tie.

With what cash he did possess and what friends he had made he was driven to the Moore's Manor. Upon arrival he straightened his tie and mask before approaching the manor himself. He was nervous having been around people of high class before, but he just had to stay calm and feel like he was supposed to be there, which he was, it was rude to decline an invitation such as this. Despite his calm demeanor, he was both nervous and curious to see who else was invited to such an occasion. Maybe clients he had made jewelry for in the past, or maybe brand new people, more than likely the latter as he wasn't the most popular person, which made him question the invite even more.
Juliet Witts 'Human' (played by LavaCake)

Upon entering, Juliet was dazzled by the interior. Never before was she in such a beautiful house, though it made her feel even more inferior. She was a high school history teacher, so why the hell was she with fancy rich people?

She needed to take her mind off of it. She had to socialize. Juliet noticed a woman in a somewhat similar dark dress and brightly colored bird mask, and decided to strike up a conversation, making her way over to Lovelle.

"Hey, uh, I really like your bird mathk-"

She quickly shut up, covering her mouth. She had forgotten about her lisp, which even then, made her sound like she was a kid.
Lucius Mirikuo (played by PaperCatRPR)

The only place that Lucius had seen an interior like this was back in his home universe. The interior was huge, much classier than anything he had seen before. However, it almost made him think of home, his brother and friends missing him while on their 'very important mission'.

Lucius despised the fact that people think he isn't strong. It was one of his biggest pet peeves, and when they forgot to bring him on their mission and sent him to the masquerade instead, he was reluctant to go at first... but he couldn't pass up the offer. It would give him some time to sort things out by himself and meet new people.

The sealed invitation of the Moore's remained in her gloved hand as the female detective arrived at the door of the Mansion. She wore a simple royal purple dress that went down to her feet, flowery-lace sleeves draped along her arm. A choker with a bright amethyst would be wrapped elegantly around her neck, matching with vine-like rings on both her index and middle finger. The dress was quite similar to the one wore by the lead singer of Evanescence in their video of 'Lithium', and her black and silver curls were styled to match the outfit.

Tsuki wasn't surprised that there were many guests mulling about in the entry way, as this was a huge event on Silverthorn Island. Almost everyone who had an invitation would be let in, so most of the time drunk partygoers would be spotted fleeing the mansion in the dead of the night, chased by the manor's butlers as they realized the guest was uninvited. However, she was curious on why she received one. She wasn't a major sponsor of the family being an underground detective that operated a small costume store on the shore, so why was she invited? Furthermore, a lot of people often disappeared around this time of the year due to the partygoers' gossip, it had naturally took her by interest and she had to investigate what went down here.

Nearing chatter stopped her from her own musings and she sighed, quickly slipping on a black mask that heavily resembled a silky blindfold- in fact, it was a heavily decorated cosplay mask that she often used when she was undercover. Spotting a purple mask (Aeon) she glided against the floor easily towards them, her heart thrumming in her chest as she thought of solving the mystery of the disappearances. Hopefully, she would be able to get some company for the eventful night as she solved the case..
Upon seeing a stranger head her way, the girl panicked slightly, wondering if someone knew who she really. She quickly glanced around her, spotting at least three ways of escaping if she needed to. This was easy, she could take on anyone here. Her hand brushed against her own thigh where she'd placed a strap, at least four daggers placed neatly in it. She smirked slightly, knowing she could easily cause mass murder here if she wanted to, but she wasn't like that. She just aimed to survive.

Realising the stranger was now beside her, Elle turned her attention to them, sussing them out as a female, rough 5'6" from first glance, brown hair, green eyes staring at her from underneath her mask. She stiffed a smile, not really caring if she did actually use those muscles for the action as her mask beak went so low you could barely see the beautiful tinted lips. When she stranger talked, her posture changed to a somewhat tense one, listening to their accent and tone.
Upon hearing the lisp, she simply smiled, sympathy drowning her eyes. She gave the girl a quick, visible wink and tilted her head upwards, showing the girl a smile, her pearl white, straight teeth. Upon more observation of the whites, she actually had fangs as her canines, obviously not an actual vampire, but simply having teeth like one from her childhood.

"It's quite alright, don't be ashamed," the hacker said as she lowered her head to normal, looking the girl up and down. She found her quite beautiful, that dress really showed her off.
"Don't hide beautiful flaws. It is quite adorable." The girl gave her another wink before thinking of a question.
"You received an invite, yes? Of course you did. But why, I ask? Not offensively or anything of the sorts, simply out of interest. Why did you receive an invite to such an event?"
Juliet Witts 'Human' (played by LavaCake)

Juliet moved her hand from her mouth, somehow more anxious and feeling more comfortable around this woman. She was quiet beautiful after all, much more so than what Juliet could ever be. She clasped her hands in front of her.

"Well, I uthed to teach a member of the Moore family, though, I never knew them too terribly well..."

She pushed up her glasses.

"But, h-hey, I'm not going to complain about free food." She laughed at her own joke. Juliet had a very thick Welsh accent, along with her lisp, making it somewhat difficult to find the point she was trying to get across.

Her outfit was very plain, only a simple black dress and gloves, with clearly borrowed jewelry and a homemade mask. Like most teachers, she wasn't living the high life.
He entered the mansion, looking around at the interior. He was quite amazed, not having seen a mansion quite as amazing as this one. He was also quite envious of the mansion, he thought that this one was way nicer than his own.

He wandered the room they gathered in, kind of feeling a bit out of place. He didn’t really seem to know anybody there, which made him feel just plain nervous. He decided not to approach anyone, and waited to see who would approach him first. But his real question was... ’Where’s the alcohol?’
Aeon had kept the invitation in his coat pocket on the off chance he needed some form of verification. With a quick check he nodded, it was still there, safe and sound. The worst thing he could think of at this point was being kicked out. He rolled up his sleeve to get a glance at the rather plain, black wrist watch he was wearing, which was in contrast to his clothing, being rather average and informal. He quickly rolled his sleeve back over the watch to see someone walking towards him (Tsuki). He assumed, based on the woman's appearance, that she was also here for the ball as well.

He decided rather than just let her walk over, he moved towards her as well. He greeted her with a short bow, being only slightly shorter than this woman. "Good evening ma'am," He spoke in a calm, but obviously young, voice. "I take it you are here for the ball as well? You look quite stunning in that dress." He was one for giving compliments and staying friendly towards strangers, given he lived by the phrase 'A stranger is just a friend you haven't met.' His own mask had small, but real, gemstones integrated into the mask giving off small details, but not overwhelming the simplicity of the dual-colored mask.

The detective shivered as her target walked towards her with a determined stride, his smooth voice almost covered by the nearby guests. "No need to be formal, sir. I'm just a lowly guest, you have no need to treat me with the manners fit for a queen. However, to answer your question, I am indeed here for the gala." She gave him an instinctive glance over; he didn't seem like a dangerous man, but something about him seemed off. Perhaps it was his almost sincere tone of voice? Or maybe it was the way he was dressed?

She brushed her mindful questions away, there was no need to let her inner turmoil ruin a simple dinner party and gala. She waved at a waiter nearby as they walked around carrying party favours, gesturing to the gentleman as they passed her a champagne flute, "You interested?"
Aeon politely shook his head, "No thank you, I'm not one for drinking, nor am I old enough to." He replied at the offer. Compared to what he had seen with others Aeon wasn't expecting someone to just wave off the formality like it was excessive. He was expecting people of high class to be there, people who were used to and expected such formality, but it gave him a small bit of relief to know he didn't have to be so formal to everyone here.

"And, pardon my formality, 'tis a habit of mine on such occasions. I am Aeon, Aeon Aurora, and I would know a thing or two about being a 'lowly guest,' but I treat everyone with the respect they deserve." He gave a soft smile to the stranger before continuing, "Although, might I be so bold as to ask your name? Just so I won't have to refer to you as 'ma'am' for the rest of the night." There was something about him, his smile, his calm and gentle voice, but whatever it was Aeon appeared to be an innocent and honest boy. He had a distinct genuine feel, like he wouldn't hide anything so long as one asked. And that was true, Aeon was honest to a fault, and not to mention polite to everyone as well.
The hacker smiled at the girl, tilting her head and listening to what she had to say. A teacher, hm? Elle didn't take her as a teacher type. Nonetheless, she smiled again and complimented her. "Well, I am quite sure you'd have been a great teacher to be invited to such an event. I personally could barely recall the host, and I still have no clue where I know them from, I only recognised the name."

She watched the female push up her glasses, smiling once more before listening to her nervous sounding joke, watching as she laughed at it. She let out her own laugh too, watching the girl's action. She seemed so... beautiful. It was weird for her to think that way, but sometimes she just thought someone seemed and acted beautifully. So, Elle was satisfied. She'd always been satisfied by the weirdest things. But, she didn't care much. She liked the feeling of satisfaction, she she took it when it came.

She observed the female's outfit, smiling as she glanced at it. She then locked eyes with her, not even having to smile. Her eyes looked like they were smiling for her. She was quite a smiley person, she loved the feeling of it. Besides, smiling gave off good vibes too, making you feel happier than you were before you smiled. Same with laughing. They were basically habits because she did them so much. She then thought, she didn't know this woman's name, she'd just been using labels. "I am September. Lovelle September. And you are, specs?" She asked, tilting her head and sounding more casual when using the nickname. She only meant the nickname in a playful way, it wasn't offensive or anything, and her Scottish accent made it sound even more casual than it already was, giving the reassurance that it wasn't meant to be hurtful.
