Hey everybody! I had an idea for a D&D campaign that I have been wanting to see unfold eagerly! I'll need between 3-10 adventurers to make this campaign work successfully, each one starting out at level 1. It doesn't matter what class or race you are, I would just like for it to be something you can work with. If you are interested and would like to join this, feel free to message me. If you would like to join but don't know how to make a character, I can help you out with that. So, with that out of the way, let's get on with the plot!
As your character was walking around town, they were dragged into a nearby alley, out of view of the villagers. Before you can attack the new person, they silence you and tell you of a quest that they need help to complete. Further down the road is the headquarters of an evil organization, Organization DEVIANT. Their goal is to wipe out all that is good in the world and letting chaos and fear take over the world. The stranger promised great reward upon the completion of the quest, as long as they met them at the nearby pub, the Emetald Wyrm, at 7:00 pm. Before you could ask any other questions, the stranger disappeared. Confused, you walked out of the alleyway, wondering if you should go to find the stranger later or not.
My Ten Rules for the Campaign
1. We will not continue unless everyone is online.
2. No overpowered beings. D&D is a game about chance and fun, and having OP characters takes away the fun.
3. If you are unsure if your character will be allowed into the campaign, talk to me and I will help you.
4. Don't take your anger out on a character by killing them.
5. If you have a personal problem with another player, take care of it outside the campaign.
6. Be patient. It's one of my first custom campaigns, which means that there will be some hiccups along the way.
7. If you have a problem with something that I did, please talk to me about it.
8. If you don't feel like you can play for the day, please let me know. I won't force you to play if you don't feel your best, just like I won't try to DM if I'm not at my best.
9. If you have a question about something that I've said or did, please ask me to clarify. I don't want any of my players to be confused.
10. Please please please please have lots of fun! That's why I'm doing this and its why I love this community.

Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.

Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.

I'm interested, but concerned about my ability to follow this rule. I visit the site multiple times a day, but don't tend to just 'hang out' here.
Does this simply mean that a posting order will be enforced? Or are you envisioning a scheduled time daily that we need to be here?
I'm more envisioning letting everyone catch up before we hit the bigger fights in the campaign.
Whatever one you want. I would prefer the cleric, but it is entirely up to you.

Hey, I really like this idea! Mind if I use Velhala? She's a lvl 5, but I can bump her back down to a one (taking away her two weapon handling, and her beast master companion, as well as some spells. I can give you links to her CH in PM if you have anything else you want tweaked for your little campaign!)
