So I've been thinking, and I dont know if this have been suggested before, but wouldn't it be nice if we could have character page notifications. And what I mean by this is if someone make a change on there character we could see it in our activity feed. Or maybe have a option to let everyone know you changed something, or not.
This has been suggested before, but the problem is: what constitutes as a change worth notifying everyone of? I save my widgets about 10 times on average to avoid losing progress, fix typos etc. If people get notified about this, they'd be spammed to death over nothing. It would also cause massive lag to the entire site, especially when the site grows bigger, because these records get saved even when everyone has the option to see these updates turned off.
In short, there hasn't been a viable solution to this problem yet, which makes it difficult to consider.

Perhaps a little tick box for major/minor edits. To alert friends of them or to not. The default would be to not alert friends or that it's all minor edits so no notification goes out, but if you tick it in the settings for the character you have or while you're doing it, and put it that you want it to be a major edit and wanna post a notification on it. Wouldn't that work?
I kind of wished for this too. The only reasonable thing I can think of is a manual share from the creator. If you've changed things you think are worth seeing, you could click a button on that character's editing page. It could be limited to once a day or so, so that people wouldn't go 'oh, dang, I forgot something.' then reclick it.

Yes I could see the problem with overwhelming the activity feed, but like highinx, and blackito said, to have it where you could check if you want to let anyone know. U know ut would be helpful of me, because it take me a few to get a back story up. Ohh maybe a person could have the option to watch a character, instead of the player.
