And, wow, those clues were unlocked quick. XD

This symbol looks like the Wings of Fire logo.
a hundred percent the Wings of Fire logo, so I assume the answer is related

I wondered if maybe the clues were in reference to the home of the Nightwing's in the first arc, which was a volcano that ultimately erupted and destroyed itself. you could say it was also the Nightwing's prison--life there hecking sucked.

unfortunately, didn't get anything for volcano or nightwing island :/

tried jade mountain since it was also a jail cell of Darkstalker in the second arc but didn't work either
"Killed by their name" seems to imply it's a person. Could it be Peril? She was a twin in one of the largest Skywing eggs at the time, her over-heat wound up her being turned into a sort of slave by Queen Scarlet, though I never finished the series to know if she survived. Could also be Blister or Blaze, who both died before the end of the succession war.

Alright, so a bit of research has led me down a couple of paths-

We could be talking about a cell as in a prison, and if that's the case, that's probably Agate Mountain, where one of the biggest dragons in the series was kept forcibly asleep for 2000 years. Haven't finished following this track yet, so don't know what the other clues might have to do with it.

Otherwise, there's dragons with a hive structure on one continent that live in cells, and the whole thing might refer to a dragon (eventually) named Freedom, who needed to die in order to free other dragons from a sort of mind control.

A cell can refer to lots of things >:)
I might appear silly, but went through a bit of fandom and stumbled on the Sandwing Horizon

He was the agent of his destruction as he threw himself on Peril and burned (killed by fire / wings of fire) and the Sandwings are the largest dragon species.

Ok, I'm not good at that...

The cell in question isn't a prison cell!

Could we be talking about a group or council that was destroyed? I know there are groups like the Talons of Peace and Talons of Power…
Okay, I know next to nothing about the series, but two of these clues are riddles.

"Home of the largest cell" refers to Rainwing's home or possibly The Hive depending on how you interpret this.

The "killed by their name" riddle could be referring to Queen Scarlet.

As for "agent of destruction", I'm unsure. It likely is Deathstalker, but I don't know how to fit these answers together.
Some thoughts from a friend who seems reluctant to actually post here:
  • one thought is Scarlet, who was killed by ruby, giving the name Scarlet Ruby
    but thats probably not it
  • It could be firestorm
mainly as they died by the means of burning/flames
  • im also guessing "killed by their name" means litterally, like example someone named flames died by flames?
  • for a second i thought it might be darkstalker
as he is a agent of destruction and is his own prison cell
  • maybe queen wasp?
  • hmm
    "cell"
so it could be an egg
    WAIT

That's all I've seen so far.
He just continued:
Quote:
Orca's statue is an interesing thing
its a cursed statue, that destroyed the eggs of the seawings
inside the hatchery
theres that
Rua

Heyo im the friend in question, i was ranting in dms lol.

My thought are jumping around but a thought of mine is Orca's statue, as its a agent of destruction in the way of ruining the eggs of the seawings, which could refer to the Cells. while not being phyically the largest it something of large importance. although killed by their name doenst fit it that much unless it was named "narwhal".

We haven't touched on the right kind of cell just yet!

I want to flag that Ilmarinen is the author of this riddle, and this is an official hint.
Figured from the way it was being stated. XD

Running out of types of cell! Not prison cell, not hive cell, not egg, I forget if someone mentioned just a standard biology cell...

I know that "cell" can also refer to a group or organization, like a "terrorist cell."

Batteries can be called cells.

Dunno if something like "cellar" would be pushing away too far.
jeez I am very stumped on this ^^;

initially thought it might have been Jerboa I? since she was killed by her granddaughter Jerboa III, which makes her an instrument of her own destruction since she kinda... made Jerboa III. and kept her granddaughter locked away for thousands of years. so matched the cell bit

but variations of her name haven't worked, and obviously by now it isn't a kind of prison cell, or a hive cell....

you know it just occurred to me--maybe it means like a storm cell? because cell can refer to a small thunderstorm

which feels a little like an oxymoron, "the largest cell"
Was the place the Talons of Peace settled called anything other than Sanctuary?
(Rationale - they’re basically a morally dubious resistance cell and kick off the whole series)

A few characters hunkered down in the Skywings’ mountain range over the course of the series and a lot of those mountains are named.

The initial dragonets also get locked up in like every book, hah.

Was the Nightwings’ volcano home ever named?
