I'm Mitty.
I've been on a grand hunt to find where everyone seemed to transfer to for RP seeing as Fanfiction and Fictionpress have become shells of their former selves. I've seen Discord is huge, but I can't bring myself to work with that UI for writing; I prefer it for a chat.
Anyway, I really like the look of this site and how in-depth it is. I want to give it the good old college try. I've been RPing for maybe fifteen years now, with some breaks in that time, and I adore medieval fantasy, Victorian era, and sci-fi genres.
I tend to be very longwinded in my replies and I wonder, is that welcome here in most threads? Lol.

Hi, welcome! A lot of people here absolutely love long replies - of course, not everybody does, but a lot do, so I don't think you need to worry about that.

Oh, you and me both! I don't understand how Discord got so big for RP. The vibes are all wrong to me - plus, the lack of pagination makes it hard to keep track of anything that lasts longer than a few months.
There are all kinds of writers here, including people who write really long replies! Generally people are very good about putting details about their style in their ads, or their profiles, so I'm sure you'll find some you click with in no time!

The fireball took out everyone I knew!!
I love how in-depth it is and easy to use. You don't have to ask for anything, it's all right here. And the character pages got me so excited, that is the most fun concept. This site is everything I've needed and wanted from others. :')

Welcome to RPR… and yes this place is great. I have been here since August last and cannot find a bad thing about this place. I love it here… and trust me I have been roleplaying a longggg time.
The admin folks here have done a great job setting this up and I wish I had found this much much sooner … it would have saved me a lot of heartache.
And I agree with you on discord… planning and chatting is great but writing… no so much.
