Hello. I am wondering if there is a way to increase the number of forums in a private group? I haven't found any info on this, only that there are items you can buy that can increase "pages" in a group.

Hi. I may be able to help. If you have editing permissions for the group, then if you click 'Edit' (It's at the top next to 'Treasury') while you are on the forum page, it will take you to where you can add forums, and add subsection titles to seperate the forums. Just remember th save changes. I think there is a pop-up to remind to do this now.

Thank you for the response, but yes I have already added forums but got the message "This group already has the maximum number of forums" and cannot add any more. I am wondering if there is a way to increase this?

You need a spell book page from the shop.

Oh, gotcha. I'm not sure what the maximum number of forums a group can have. I have nine in my group, so I too an curious how many forums a group can have.

There is not currently a way to increase the maximum number of forums above 30; frankly I've yet to see a group make use of even that many effectively.

Ah ok. For me my intent was to make one forum for each part of Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms from WoW to let characters who are in the same area interact easier and keep track of who is where and what is going on. But I understand it is a lot of forums. Is there a reason why there is a forum limit? Is it due to cost?

To discourage people from going wild and making a ton of forums that will mostly sit fallow; most groups are a lot healthier with fewer forums for people to cluster in. It's very easy to make an actually active group look abandoned by having more forums than people to fill them, which discourages folks who are already there or considering joining.

The one and only time someone showed me a group where they had 20 forums being used actively simultaneously, I lifted the limit from 20 forums to 30 forums so that they could expand. They didn't manage to make full use of 30. If you are able to show me that you have achieved this feat, I will happily consider raising it again.

Maybe I misunderstood what the torn page is for then. What does 'adding a page' to a group actually do?

It adds a page where you can put widgets and information, same as it does for a character.

Okay, gotcha. I've never actually had to add pages to a group or character profile before but that makes sense.
