Gonna guess this is Starfleet Academy related. 
Is it just me or does the criteria to reveal the clue not make sense? Like either it's miswritten or I'm just misreading.

I'd say send it as a bug report (Kim says it's good for reporting stuff like typos, too, and I've done it plenty times).

Normally I'm quite good at this, being a Star Trek fan. I'm gonna try some guesses related to the Starfleet Academy series, as I think that might uncover something.
I did some thinking, and I have an idea. The first clue refers to the first wave back, so I suspect it has something to do with the group of Starfleet cadets seen in the Discovery Season 4 episode "All is Possible", as they were part of the first class of cadets at the newly re-opened Academy.
If there's time once things are clear, we should probably leave a little time to add more to the collection symbol before answering this one, since the correct answer will cause an immediate spawn.
Since we don't have a second (or third) clue yet, I'm not sure that's going to be an issue quite yet, but yes.

Okay, so I've been noodling on this riddle all day as I've been out and about, and I think I've narrowed it down in a couple of ways-
So the first wave, I think we can all agree that's probably part of the students that're attending the first batch back to the Academy after it's been defunct for a while. "First to attend", I figure that refers to someone who's the first of their species or planet to attend the academy. There's two who fit that bill in the main cast - SAM, the first hologram-person and Kasqian to attend the academy, and Darem Reymi, who's the first Khionian.
As for the "first member of it", there's a funny little bit in the end credits of the last episode of season 1 where there are some interesting in-character yearbook type comments displayed alongside pictures of each of the actors when they were kids. For SAM, one of the notes we get is that she's "President, Founder and Empress of the CSFC" - the Captain Sisko Fan Club.
I'm not sure if there's anything in Darem's extracurriculars that fits quite so well.

Ahhhh, I get it now. How I didn't catch onto that when I literally rp a character from Deep Space Nine on this very site, I do not know.
