Genuine answers only please.
I am bringing this question to the masses to try and think out an actual answer.
My darling boyfriend and I where talking about mythical creatures and the topic of Alcorn's turned into a discussion of what the opposite of a horse would be, according to google it's a feild mouse.
What is the opposite of a horse?

What is the opposite of a horse?
Torsey the torso horse
I hadn't considered that 🤔
To me it's an electric eel.

I’m not much of a horse person, but I know they are largely defined by their speed and strength. I also know that they are evolutionary screwed by their 1-toed hoof. Like it’s insane they hold up hundreds of pounds balancing on what is essentially 4 toes.
So the opposite would probably be something small, evolutionarily ‘successful’, and slow.
You know what slow, small creature hasn’t significantly changed in 480 million years? Horseshoe crab.
It has horse in the name, ironically, but perhaps it is fate.

An esroh of course
More seriously, I think a snake maybe?

There are a few opposites to a horse:
If you talk about capabilities: a horse is quick, strong, enduring and made to flee; opposite : a sloth is slow, weak, soft and docile (fights with claws)
If you talk about demeanor: a horse is loyal and finishes its work; opposite : a human (no further comment)
If you talk about structure: a horse is a vertebrate animal; opposite is an invertebrate animal, mollusk, worms...
If you talk about esthetics: a horse is elegant, lean, and well proportioned (defined measurements); opposite: warthog, do I have to explain
If you talk about equine as group: a horse is a fleeing prey animal; opposite: any predator
You can add a horse's senses: a horse has rather poor sight but at 310°, rather good smell, quite accurate hearing and a relatively very good taste, opposite maybe an eagle or falcon, super precise view, poor smell, less accurate hearing (human-like) and taste unknown

Strictly creatures?
I genuinely want to suggest Bicycle. Or go even further into an object that does not move.

No that bicycle is the opposite of the donkey, in German called Drahtesel literate translation : Wiredonkey
If it’s the opposite of horse for transportation it’s the tractor, with x horsepowers. Even the train drives on rails of given width because of the horse. That’s no joke.😉
NO I GOT IT! CLEARLY THE OPPOSITE O0F A MAJESTIC STRONG LIVING LORGE BEAST WITH FOUR LEGS TEETH LIKE PEOPLE AND WALKS AROUND ON THIER TOESNAILS WOULD BE....

10/10!
Macabre but...
A dead horse. It's the mirror image of a horse (being a former horse), but can no longer do anything a horse can. It's not alive. Instead of growing, it's rotting and/or shriveling away.

Ultimately, there are too many things that would need to be defined to determine what could be counted as the opposite of a horse. What traits are being opposed? What things count as opposite instead of simply different? How is horse even being defined? Like, a number of folks in here are talking about how they're big and fast so an opposite would be small and slow, but miniature horses exist, as do horses that are slow for one reason or another, as are things that are much faster than horses by ranges larger than a horse is faster than anything that moves.
Of course, things that can only have subjective answers can still be very interesting. It's just that you might learn more about the people giving answers than you learn about the question being answered.
What about our very own Dobutt? I would argue that since it is two rear ends of a horse joined end-on-end, it is in theory the opposite of a horse by the laws of comprehension.
The opposite of a horse is any animal that hasn’t been screwed over by evolution or got extra advantageous perks through evolving.
Source? Me. I own horses. Evolution hates them SO much lmao

I've been given three answers IRL today [all by the same person]
A Shetlan pony
A cart

I think we all look too much of how a horse is seen today, if you look at evolution of a horse, you need to go back before man interfered in evolution, which means like 20000 years ago, when cavemen chased horses for eating, when 'horses' looked like Przewalsky horses or Tarpan, comparable to a Fjord pony/horse. All these 150+ different races are by man selected, from the most small Falabella to the big Shire.
Evolution made out of the 4/3 toed Eohippus a one (or uneven) toed Equus, in contrary to the even-toed hoofed animal (ungulate). These include the deer, camel, cattle, sheep, pigs.... and so on. Evolution made the 'best' possible creature out of the horse, the one that survived thousands and thousands of years! until some odd creature arrived called: man
It is to notice that horses still have a second toe, the splint bone and that one complete toe left is middle-finger.
So if you look to the contrary of horse, I think maybe a deer or a cow, an animal with an even count of toes.
A cart, ancestor of car, is pulled by a draft animal, if it is horse or cow or elephant or any domesticated animal capable of pulling something.
A jockey or rider, is definitely a contrary to horse (NOT necessarily a human!!)
nonhorse: anything that is not a horse, so all answers are correct, but it excludes our beloved doubutt
I think there is no contrary to a horse, being too unique
it is the same as the question, what is the contrary to human? Non-human and this includes the whole galaxy, no, universe(s).
SurferGirlGeek, this question has no answer, same as that ever returning question: which was first, the egg or the chicken?
