"I'm fine. Are you okay?"

The teen gave a brief nod.

She sighed and looked at Amity.

“Bye,” was the last thing she said before heading back to her house. Sadly, she felt she was used to people changing their opinions about her. Since Amity was another hybrid, it hurt that much more. Not only did humans hate her, but her own kind grew annoyed by her presence.

Amity wasn't upset with her, he wasn't annoyed with her either, and he felt terrible. He sighed and went home as did Moon.

Kitkat’s alarm woke her up from an after-school nap. She turned it off, sitting up in bed. For a moment, she wondered why she had set the clock, but remembered shortly after.

Amity was at his store, doing things.

The teen got ready, not sure if there was a uniform or certain colors she’d have to wear. Eventually, she settled on dark blue-jeans, black tennis shoes, and a black shirt. Pulling her hair up into a ponytail, KK hid her ears and tail so as not to frighten humans on her walk there.

He waited for her to get to work.

She arrived, more than a little hesitant.

He smiled at her. "Hello." he said.

She gave a small nod.

"I'm sorry about yesterday." He said.

“It’s okay,” she replied in a soft voice. Her eyes dropped to the floor. “..What do I have to do?”
