Red tried really hard not to laugh and after she got control of that she just smiled.
"I think i can handle myself if i need to," she said.
Neo and Nex sat at the door, impatiently waiting for Arien.

"Alright then," said Arien, brushing himself off. "I'll just be going hunting."

He grabbed his sword again and his cloak--which needed a washing--and motioned to the tigers. "After you, cats."

He flashed a grin back at Red as he followed the tigers out.

Red suddenly remembered the cloak she bought him.
"Arien wait!" she yelled out the door then ran back to her room and quickly grabbed the package, which had his new, rare cloak.

Arien hadn't gone very far when he heard Red shout after him. He returned to the doorway, peering in. "What is it?"

Red ran out of her room and was smiling with excitement. She handed him the package and waited for him to open it.

"Uh...my birthday's not for another six months...." But he tore into the package anyway and then stopped as a deep green cloak fell from his fingertips to the floor. The expensive looking gold and silver lace weaved into the border took his breath away.

He blinked and folded the cloak over, feeling the texture. "This must have cost..." In a smooth gesture he unfastened his blue cloak and fastened the green one in its place. He turned to Red and engulfed her in a hug. "Thank you, Red."

Red blushed really red then smiled and hugged back.
"Of course. I had to replace the one i ruined and i havent had company in forever so why not?" Red explained.

Arien looked down at the blue cloak he'd worn for ages. It was threadbare, unraveling in places, and yet it held a million memories for him--good and bad. The blue cloak had been a gift given in hatred, to remind him of who he was--though he'd chosen to be cast out of his father's name. It was so unlike the new cloak with its good intentions of a gift, a simple promise and reminder of friendship.

"I--" he closed his mouth, swallowed, and then studied the floor intently. "It means a lot to me. Thank you." He left hurriedly, before he lost his composure completely.

Red frowned a little then walked back into the house. Walking into her room, she flopped down on her bed.
Did i do the wrong thing? Does he not like it? What happened?.. Red slowly fell asleep, those thoughts dancing in her mind.

Arien wiped an arm across his face, drying the tears that had started just as he stepped outside.

"Damn," he muttered, "dunno why I'm so hung up on that old ratty cloak anyway; it's not like my family cares." His face fell briefly--remembering his mother, before he shook his head.

"Anyway, this one's so much nicer..." He twirled, feeling the edges pick up and flare out around him. He grinned, the tears gone. "It's sharp looking. How am I ever going to repay Red?" he asked, looking at the tigers.

Nex looked a little shocked then flicked his tail against Neo's side telling him they were leaving.
Consider yourself very speacial. Red never and i mean never does anything that nice for anyone. Nex sent the thought to Arien and started walking away with Neo. Patch was still clinging to Neo's back and seemed to enjoy it.

Arien flushed a little. "Well, uh, thanks. I hope she didn't think it rude of me...earlier." He sighed and ran a hand through his wild black hair. "Man, I'm usually good with the ladies, but Red's got me all out of sorts." He sighed in disappointment.

"Anyway, hunting--I can set snares and traps for food, but I don't want you guys to get caught in them. Is there anywhere you don't walk?" He was searching for rabbit and deer tracks along the ground without much luck.

Neo sniffed the air then flicked his tail downstream.Try downstream, the deer love the open field. People really dont go there anymore.
They were all by the stream, farther down from the waterfall though. Nex had already started fishing and had caught quite a few fish. Neo turned his head toward Arien.
So.. Red's got you all out of sorts huh? Do you.. Have feelings for her? Because to tell you the truth.. Bella really isnt my type. Neo flicked his ear in a teasing manner.

Arien coughed and spluttered at the tiger's sudden remark. He glared at Neo. "Feelings? For Red? One moment she's mad at me, the next...happy? And then she does unnecessary stuff like buy me a cloak..." He shook his head, a blush creeping up on his face.

"My feelings are my own. And I hate being indebted to someone. And thank the gods you're not attracted to Bella, because, no offense, your offspring--if it were even possible--would be monsters." He shuddered. A Bella-sized Bella was bad enough; a tiger with an Aurean Wolf's capablities would be worse.

"I'm going to set my traps." He stalked off, muttering under his breath about know-it-all tigers asking too many personal questions.

Neo smiled at Arien's reaction. Nex i think Arien has feelings for Red. It's quite amusing. Neo thought to Nex.
Nex flicked his ear and smiled. Bout time. We cant keep her company forever. Nex thought to Neo.
Neo nodded then stood up, picked up Patch and walked in the opposite direction that Arien went. Neo hunted for a while and caught two rabbits and a deer. Patch had managed to catch a mouse with Neo's help.

With his snares set and pitfalls ready to catch wandering wildlife, Arien returned to the tigers. "It'll probably take a day for the snares to catch anything, but..." he paused as he saw the results of the tigers. "Now you guys are just showing off. You too, kitten."

He huffed and took a moment to fill his canteen with water. "I've seriously got to improve on my archery skills...it would make catching food so much easier."

Nex purred and flicled his tail onto Arien's leg. So.. I hear you have feelings for Red. Which is good because me and Neo wont be around forever. Nex thought to Arien. Nex picked up his fish and trotted towards the house. Neo right behind with his kills as well as Patch.
Neo flicked his right ear as he came up with a wonderful idea. I'll be sure to let Red know about your feelings Neo thought to Arien as he took off running towards the house.

Arien followed behind them, before catching the tail end of that comment. "What? Hey!" Arien yelled after the fleeing tiger. "You tell her and I'll make sure to chop you into tiny pieces! I'm sure tiger tastes real good when it's roasted!"

If his face was bright red, he'd blame it on keeping up with the tigers.

Neo burst into the house and slid on the sandy floor before trying to get a grip and run into Red's room.
Nex watched Arien and Neo run past. He thought they were both immature. Nex had to carry Patch home on his back since Neo left her behind.
Neo smirked and slammed the house door shut before Arien could get inside. He ran into Red's room then stopped short when he saw that Red was asleep.

"Neo!" He hollered after the tiger, as the door slammed shut. He bounced off the door, and managed to swing it open, dashing into the house and also coming to a halt as he saw the tiger do the same.

"Hah!" he whispered at the tiger. "So help me, if you tell her what I said I'll teleport you to the other side of the world." Never mind the impossibility of it.
