Some questions, if you're so inclined: what year are you in? Homeschooled? What are you going to school for (or hoping to)? Any career goals? What kind of student are you? Have you/would you study abroad? Any gripes about your classes (since it's finals season and we're probably all dying atm)? Tell me a weird story about a school experience. Do it.
I'm just a weesophomore second year in university and I've lost interest in academia tbh. I'll finish my history/sociology degrees, but then I'm switching tracks to mortuary studies with the goal of becoming an embalmer. Working with carcinogens might up my chances of cancer and ALS, but I mean, everyone dies eventually. I don't see a point waiting around for whatever's "supposed" to kill me.
A few highschool stories:
- there was a night when nobody was allowed to leave because of an angry moose rampaging around the property. Oh, Canada.
- I switched from the public system into a Catholic highschool for the Experience™ and there was a crucifix on the wall so big that if it ever fell it straight up would've killed someone
- the gymnasium got so sweltering during Mass that one time a chain of people passed out because when the first guy fell he broke his nose and the people around him were scared of blood
- my lab partner kept using a cow's heart as a hand puppet during a dissection lab
- a guy kept the same locker for four years and just. filled it with thousands upon thousands of paper cranes. nothing else.
- once I broke into a person's locker to liberate a half-dead goldfish and had to smuggle it out of the school
- our entire computer lab somehow contracted a virus that deleted everything the moment you saved it. When I graduated it was still unresolved.
- during the annual talent show, this unassuming chubby ginger kid ambled onto stage with his electric guitar, played the most unreal metal cover of Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song I've ever heard, and nobody saw him again. Wherever he is I hope he's having a great time because goddamn.
I'm just a wee

What year are you in?
Eeerrh, I started university in August 2012, so that makes it... 5.5 years? We don't use titles like sophomore or the likings. I'm to start my thesis in January 2018.
Homeschooled?
No, I went to a public school.
What are you going to school for (or hoping to)?
I'm currently doing my Master's in Middle East Society & Language(Arabic).
Any career goals?
Sure, I'd like to secure world peace. Or, at least try.
What kind of student are you?
Formally, I'm a master's degree student. Informally, I'm the kind of student who gets easily overwhelmed, and wishes she was a little better with academia. But I've grown a lot with my education.
Have you/would you study abroad?
I've studied abroad twice. I took a language course in Alexandria, Egypt, over a few weeks and then I spent a semester in Morocco, where I studied translation, Arabic literature and Arabic communication.
Any gripes about your classes (since it's finals season and we're probably all dying atm)?
Of course. My main gripe being too much focus on literature, and too little focus on politics, history and religion. That, and the fact the we have very few classes. Currently, I have two courses and they take up a time total of 5 hours a week. That's waaaay too little time in my opinion. The rest is self-study.

I actually don't have one at the moment! Disappointing, I know.

I finished my degree in 2012! I have a BS in computer science. My best story is, unfortunately, really hard to put into text, but I will attempt. It was in my natural language processing class, the last final of my last semester, and for weeks I had been begging my friend to bring me persimmons. Finally, she did: three beautiful orange persimmons now sitting on my desk. The professor, an older German fellow, paused as he handed me my test. "Three of them," he said, in this breathless voice. He sounded dumbstruck, amused, confused, filled with wonderment ... then, without another word, he moved on to the next student. I feel like when I can successfully convey in text how he sounded as he gazed upon my three persimmons, I will have become the Ultimate Writer.
Oh, and the persimmons were delicious.

what year are you in?
I'm in my last semester of undergrad
Homeschooled?
Nope. I went to public school for everything, but my college is a private one because it's Christian.
What are you going to school for (or hoping to)?
I'm getting my BS in Biology. My minor's in Biblical Studies.
Any career goals?
Yuppers! I'm going to go to graduate school and get my DVM (Doctor of Vet Medicine). I shall heal all the doggies!
What kind of student are you?
Uhhh 4.0 GPA that I plan on keeping through graduation. I shall finish college with a perfect GPA! Mwhahahaha! Uhm so... I guess very dedicated to my studies. I barely have a social life, but I'm a huge introvert, so it doesn't really matter, I guess.
Have you/would you study abroad?
Never thought about it
Any gripes about your classes (since it's finals season and we're probably all dying atm)?
Oh yeah! Ohhhh yeah. I'm in two writing emphasis courses (Microbiology and a class for my minor) and then an english course, so I have a lot of reading and writing to do and tests on top of that. The only fun I find is in Microbiology lab. Also, because I'm a senior, I take my finals a week early. I feel like I need all the time I can get!

Uhh.. my two closest friends are guys, and they just say the craziest of stuff. I'm like the little sister of the group.. I guess that's not a weird story
Honestly, I don't have any. I've never really been the type to be involved with/ informed about what's going on around me, so I'm sure stuff's happened that I simply haven't heard about.
