Those who travel acr (played by Thekaleidoscope)

Swinging round Inai noticed one thing before all else, that the person hailing him was a warrior. Maybe even another traveling one such as himself.

Without a single moments hesitation he called out, "Traveling warrior, I challenge you to a duel!"

There was no malice behind the challenge but merely a sense of honour and excitement. He'd read in his books on these such warriors they always proved themselves to each other with a duel, so this was a great opportunity to learn.
Arun-Ja (played by Arcol)

"No, I mean I request your hospitality," He said, noticing the vampire and man head past him, "A place to stay the eve, if no more than that. I am an excellent bard, and would be happy to perform some of the songs from my homeland, if that is your desire."
Lupus 'Raziel' Shado (played by Lupus-Raziel-Shadows)

Staying in a cabin at the edge of the village, a pair of demons had been staying for a few weeks. Mother and son, visiting from far off lands, possibly not even of this world. The mother, named Cynder Shadows, was a short woman with short crimson hair, pale skin, and eye blacker then the darkest night, save for the red glow of her pupils, as well as a long, brown furred tail. The son, named Lupus Shadows, was tall with long white hair usually tied at the nape of his neck, pale skin, and solid red, glowing eyes. Under his right eyes is a birthmark of a crescent moon over a four point star, and he had a long golden tail.

Today the pair were strolling down the streets, visiting the various shops and talking with the assorted creatures that work them. They were rather nice people, despite their race and origin. Eventually they would split, Cynder would find her way into a bakery, Lupus would continue to wonder the streets, being the less sociable of the two.
Merthyr felt awfully dizzy after she was done, resting an arm on Taff and one on Gawain for support.
He shook his head lightly, trying to make the light headedness go away but felt unable to do so for now.

"There is something you could help me with indeed, the purpose of my journey, I need to speak to the ruler of this... realm and lands" explained Merthyr

"Would you be able to assist finding him or her that I may freely speak with them?" asked Merthyr watching as Taff placed a neckchief around his neck to hide the bite mark for now, not about to use magic open and visibly in case these creatures also had issues with magic and sorcerers.

Lancelot looked at Inai and blinked at the young man, quite taken aback at the sudden, unexpected request

"Sir, I have no quarrels with you, I see no need to cause you injury at present. Pray tell me, where do you hail from? what brought you to this forest? where are you headed to and whether you are aware of what you are asking off me?

I have been tasked by the crown prince to keep you safe from harm, fighting a duel that will see you fall injured would hardly be in compliance with his command, yet honor compells me to accept your challenge all the same. I would humbly request that you reconsider and that you amiccably withdraw your words" suggested Lancelot going to fetch two swords

Gawain looked around the room briefly, more settled when the vampiress had withdrawn from the bed, where he could see blood stains on the covers and made him feel repulsed and disgusted.

His gaze then was drawned to his liege lord, and he was left all the more horrified to see Merthyr so pale faced and weak, loosing footing and balance due to sheer dizziness. He had to do something about it and quick, without a second thought, he opened the door, storming out of the room and marched downstairs to the throne room, tapping a random manservant's shoulder.

"Excuse me, my liege is feeling rather dizzy at present, may I have some wine? or at least some water?" asked Gawain not troubled if he was a little loud in his voice so long one servant or other would grant him his request

"I am prepared to pay for the favour" assured Gawain, assuming these people would accept gold, rather than blood

Ambrose raises an eyebrow, looking at Merthyr thoughtfully as she watched him lean on his two servants for support. She watched as Taff placed a neckchief around Merthyr's neck to hide her bite mark, and she simply closed her eyes at the thought. It would go away in a few days, but she would let them find out for themselves. As for his quest, her brow furrowed at his request that she help him find the ruler of these lands. She opened her eyes, staring at him with glowing red iris's. She stood up and walked into her bathroom, opening a cubbard and rummaging through it.

"Look no further. I am Ambrose Acheron, Princess of the vampires and ruler over those that humans have claimed to be monsters. You'll have to beg my pardon, but my father has been sickly as of late, so I can not permit you to speak with him. However I am very much capable of handling a multitude of affairs in his stead, albeit business or personal, so you will have to talk to me."

She says before sighing and closing her cubbard, walking back to the bedroom. She notices the blood on her sheets, and sighs as she goes to her dress and picks up a bell, ringing it. Before anything could happen though, she would notice that one of his knights would storm out of the room with a temper, and she would furrow her brow at the prospect. Not moments later, two maids walk in and bow before Ambrose. She walks up to them and lifts their heads up as a display of equality. She smiles at them and walks with them over to her bed.

"That won't be necessary. But would you two be a dear and wash my sheets for me? And bring us a bottle of wine? If you can't find wine, then water will do. I would very much appreciate it."

The two servants would nod and bow, collecting her sheets and replacing them with a temporary set, before bringing the dirtied sheets out of the room. Later, one of them would return with glasses and wine, bow, and walk out. Ambrose would smile as she popped the lid from the wine bottle and pour the three of them glasses, handing one to Taff and Merthyr, before taking a seat in her chair.

"Your servant has quite the temper...but he seems loyal. And while that is an admirable trait, I would ask that he refrain from acting with hostility towards me or my people. My kingdom is peaceful, and I don't need humans wandering in and starting a ruckus."

She says as she motions for the two of them to take a seat, waiting until they have done so before speaking up to them once again.

"It's unheard of that humans wander into this part of the forest, willingly seeking us out. As I'm sure you can imagine, we don't get many visitors here. I'll admit, my curiosity is peaked. What business would you possibly have that would make you willingly travel to the realm of us blood suckers?"

She says with a bit of venom in her voice at the last two words, for that was a nickname that humans had started calling vampires, and it was rather insulting. Meanwhile, one of the servants would turn around and see a man. A human man at that. He raised an eyebrow at him, before coming to the realization that his was one of the human men that had come into their borders, as the rumors stated. He would nod and bow, before running off. After several minutes, he would return to Gawain with the wine and bow once more, before running out of the room.
Lupus 'Raziel' Shado (played by Lupus-Raziel-Shadows)

(Leaving cinder at the bakery, will bring her back in later.)

After a time Lupus found his way to what he assumed to be the home of the Rulers of this land. Curious auto who they were, he would slowly make his way to the front doors. He took his time to take in the scenery, which he thought beautiful, before coming to the doors and knocking.

The six foot tall demon then stepped back to await an answer, if any. While doing so his red eyes trailed off to once again look at the greenery outside the residence, and thought he should use some of the same plants in his own gardens.
"My knights worry unduly for my welfare, I beg your forgiveness if his haste was most rude to you" nodded Merthyr apologetically "They are loyal and meant no disrespect nor harm, simply weary of any harm befalling their prince" soothed Merthyr cooly

"The purpose of my reason is because my father has issued a new decree declaring war upon your people and all of magic folk. I came to ask that, should you make any captives among humans over this war that is about to unleash, that you spare their lives despite the growing hatred. I will do my earnest to spare your kind in return, despite the tension" asked Merthyr

"I know captivity fairs poorly for either side, but I cannot yet promise freedom for I am not the king and cannot undo my father's judgements. All I can do is ask you to seek shelter and remain as elusive as you can be, for your own sakes. I only came to give you all fair warning that the hunt is now started so that you may better prepare to evade the royal knights, prevent your deaths, our deaths, your kindred falling slaves to mine and vice versa" commented Merthyr as he delivered the reasons for his hasty visit.

Taff had remained quiet and polite, surprised that she was royalty but making no comment on the matter as Merthyr tried his best to keep peaceful amiccable terms amidst the ongoing war.

It would not be easy to achieve, granted that, but if these two royals were able to strike a certain degree of acquaintance, they could certainly spare lives indeed to both sides.

Taff watching Gawain rush back to the rooms with the bottle of wine only to find one there already, letting out a sigh of relief to find some at the rooms already, bowing to the lady in gratitude and relief.

"Well thank you for taking care of his highness needs. I promised the servants payment for this bottle of wine but they scurried before I could hand them any gold and I certainly am no thief.

Pray tell me, how much is the bottle of wine worth in this land?" asked Gawain honorable as usual, the thought of taking something without paying for it horrifying and disgusting him to the core
Arun-Ja (played by Arcol)

Arun-Ja had brought out his lute and was singing of the open seas, the great Red Mountain, of the leaders of Tamriel, and of the terrible event of the Planemeld before it was silenced by the one who sang those words. Dagon and Azura (Azura the Winged Twilight, not the Daedric Prince) surrounded him, dancing (As much as daedra could dance) to his smooth words, tales of darkness and the Beauty of Dawn, of the Tribunal, and many great heroes and their legends. The crowd seemed to enjoy Arun-Ja's talent, though many things were not known to them, he assumed.

(EDITED! i forgot about the last part of your post tus!! T-T)

Ambrose's eyes would narrow and her brow would furrow as he mentioned his father declaring war on her people as well as monster kind. It was surely troubling indeed, and she would have to think through her options later. She would stare at him thoughtfully for a long moment, before sighing and standing up, walking back to her vanity and pouring herself another glass of wine. She would take a quick whiff and bring it to her lips, downing the glass before gently setting it on the vanity.

"Are we not elusive enough....we live deep within this forest...so deep that your kind have never been able to find us and would pass us as myths. Well, I can assure you that we are no myth, but the legends and children's tales that would surround us are not true....We don't stalk your villages, nor do we kidnap your wives and daughters...we don't do any of the things your kind has said...and yet your father would declare war on us? He would declare war on beings that are rumored not to even exist?"

She says turning to him, a frustrated look on her face. She would let out a heavy sigh and rub her temple, her hair falling in her face. She walks out to the balcony, leaning on the railing and motioning for him to join her as she stared out at her kingdom and the forest beyond it. She would smile sadly, as she formulated a plan. She would look to her side and gaze at him, a smirk on her face.

"I might have an idea."

She says before turning to Gawain with a raised eyebrow. She usulally cared for the people she drank from, so it was of no burden to her, though she could tell that is pride meant something to her, and would simply shake her head as she held out her hand to him.

"If you wish to pay for the bottle that is already opened, it would be 5 silver coins. You haven't opened the bottle currently in your hand, so you could simply give it back and no harm would be done. Though, if you truly wish to buy it, then it would be 10 silver coins. 5 for the open bottle and 5 for the unopened bottle."

Inai's face flickered with a mix of emotions, happiness, annoyance all flowing together into one. Finally it settled on anticipation, the keen young eyes showing a longing for the fight about to come.

"You do me a disservice through your words, I need no protection and on my honour I will fight you. I have issued the challenge and it would be a stain on my honour to retract it now. If you wish to get any answer we must both prove our worth as warriors!"

While his words sounded unfalteringly confident, his mind was confused. Surely a traveling Knight such as this man didn't need all this explained to him... Yet he the confusion dissipated upon seeing the man reach for his sword. Grinning he tore his satchel from his shoulders and pulled out a katana and a grinning Oni mask. "Shall we begin?"
Arun-Ja (played by Arcol)

The lute continued to play, the strumming like a stream of music, the voice, though raspy in speech, flowed like silk. And when the songs were sung and the daedra sighed, Arun-Ja bowed, placing the lute across his back once again.
Merthyr came to stand by Ambrose Acheron as she had requested, unsure why his presence would be required there at all but complying to his host's demand of standing at the balcony.

The thought was now dawning on him that perhaps he had been somewhat wreckless to venture to hastily and thoughtlessly into this realm. Right now, he was heavily outnumbered and could easily be taken prisoner by these creatures if things took a turn for the worse and, boy, they would indeed take a turn for the worse sooner than later.

Gawain happily dug the hand into his pouch paying the 15 silver pieces for the two bottles, opting to keep the bottle.

"With so many blood suckers about we will definitely be needing this" muttered Gawain absent minded as he handed his bottle to Taff to put it away into the travel bag

Taff winced "Sir Gawain... such speech is most improper of a knight of the realm, never mind whilst roaming this kingdom" scolded Taff

"What?! It's true.. they ARE blood suckers... did you NOT see or notice the two fang marks upon prince Merthyr's neck, if not, then he most definitely needs a better manservant, one who actually does pay attention to detail" scoffed Gawain annoyed at being scolded by a mere servant

"Do mind your place in the presence of knights too... manservant" spat Gawain. He was indeed rather tired after the rush, the night awake and the lack of sleep was starting to make him cranky

"Gawain!" scolded Merthyr in dismay, cringing at the extremely poor choice of wording and timing, clearly this mindless conversation was most likely to infuriate the princess further and cause them all to get arrested for daring to offend the royalty there

Merthyr swallowed hard looking at Ambrose Acheron

"Perhaps it were better we retired from your presence and realm now that the message has been delivered..." suggested Merthyr

"I already am in quite enough trouble for defying king's Conrad's imprisonment sentence, I would certainly not need to get in further trouble with the neighbouring kingdom too. So if you excuse me, I thank you for your courtesy and welcoming invitation but I would wish to part ways at once, before my mindless vassals cause you further offence" requested Merthyr

Her eye would twitch and her whole body would shiver as she heard him refer to her kind as Blood Suckers. She would sigh heavily, quickly becoming angered as she took the money from him and pocketed it, before whirling around on him and walking up to him, pinning him against the wall so there was no escape. She wouldn't plan on doing anything to him, merely to scare him a bit. She would lean her head into his neck and take a deep whiff, before breathing on it and smirking up at him, her eyes glowing red once again.

"If you think that wine will save you, then you are a bigger fool than I took you to be. Wine doesn't have the same taste nor smell as blood, any fool will be able to tell the difference. And no Blood Sucker would accept wine over blood fresh from it's vessel..."

She says, almost seductively. She licks his neck slowly, before breathing on it again and looking up at him, her eyes narrowed at him. She would feel him become tense, as she had left no room for escape, and would loosen her grip on him before speaking up again.

"You would be foolish to forget who I am, where you are and just what it is that I can do. I could drain you of every last drop, leaving you a crumpled heap of skin and bones on the ground. Your corpse would look befitting of your attitude and blatant disrespect."

She says, letting her fangs graze his neck and lingering a moment before sliding her hands down his arms. She hesitates, then lets go of him, walking to her door and opening it. She would stare at the three of them, her skin glowing in the moonlight before waving the three of them over to her.

"You allowed me to feed on you, the least I can do is see to it that you don't get drained on your way out...follow me. I will walk you to our gates, but you are on your own from there."

She says walking out, roaming the halls until she got to the main door. She would throw them open and walk out, waiting for the three of them to catch up before walking them through her town. All eyes would be on them, and some would be looking at them with hunger in their eyes, licking their lips. Luckily for them, Ambrose was escorting the three of them out, so no one would dare approach them let alone lay a finger on them while in her presence. She would pass the fountain and tip the musician before reaching her borders. She waved her hand to stand down her guards, before turning back to the lot.

"Thank you for dinner, and thank you for the warning. If you should ever need our assistance, you are welcome here. Though I would ask you leave the rude one behind..."

She says, seeing them off before turning around and returning to her castle.
Lancelot paused and examined this young naive man, clearly, the excitement of youth and seeking the thrill of adventure entirely crowding his mind as to the real danger of yielding a blade against a well trained knight.

Still seeing the youth's well chosen words and his eagerness to taste combat, he nodded at Inai, sword to hand and saluting him briefly to get started.

"I shall take no pleasure in defeating you, young man, but... should I do... I will be claiming you as my squire until such time as you can defeat me in a single combat or are dismissed from service in disgrace through misconduct" warned Lancelot

"For now, for your honour's sake, I am granting you your duel and accepting your challenge against a knight of the realm" nodded Lancelot

He let the lad take up his sword and prepare his defence, then proceeded forward and attacked first, giving Inai a chance to defend himself as Lancelot slashed forward, skilled enough to be in full control his sword.

He would hurt Inai's upper arm to drive the point home that fighting was indeed dangerous and could one day cost him his very life if he was so wrecklessly challenging every warrior he happened to cross paths with. He aimed at the arm Inai was using to hold his sword with.

If successful he intended to cause a noticeable enough cut on the upper arm, with enough pain to make Inai reconsider the duel and encourage surrender without causing major injury to either of them. Afterwards he would treat his new squire's arm of course.

Arun-Ja (played by Arcol)

He looked at the coins in his hand, then looked to the mistress whom bestowed them to him. "Well," he said to Dagon, "We may not have a location to stay at yet, but at least we can sate our thirst."
Aynor had been at the main square for the noon announcements, boredly listening to the king until he spoke of money, reward and bounty. He snatched one of the nailed parchments for better measure, bringing the royal decree to the tavern, reading it carefully a few times and considering it, as he sipped a mug of ale.

He was not one to support the king when they were all outlaws themselves but, the figure at the bottom of the parchment was much too tempting for this slayer to ignore or disregard.

"Alright then, my friends, the king's bounty hunt is on... off to the forests and let's go to reap our rewards, we are getting knights and beasts alike, anything that moves really... Some we sell for slaves to the humans, some we sell for slaves to the magic folk" decided Aynor clapping and rubbing his hands together, his two swords crossed at the back and ready to strike.

"I'm going to fetch my best 10 assassins and slayers and will meet you fifty paces past the forest entrance" specified Aynor setting up the camp exactly where poor Inai had chosen to set up his earlier on.

Aynor had a guild of thugs and bandits extended across the land, a group of more than 500 well trained thugs at his calling as well as four leaders directing them, men of impeccable effectiveness and deadly skill albeit they tread the line between good and evil as much as he did.

Robin the slaver had selected his best 10 men and smirked as Aynor finally had decided to take notice of the healthy sum of money offered by Conrad and for once, align his interests to the king's own.

"Well, well, well let me get my best 10 slavers, I´ll have some others set up camp further away out of sight" nodded Robin already smelling the captives and counting the harvest.

Glendale the thief also stood up now that he finally had consent from their leader to actually join in the hunt.

"Me too, I´ll go get my best 10 thieves as well and meet you at the forest entrance" nodded Glendale leaving the tavern with haste

Rufus the murderer, a former royal executioner, could not smirk broader.

"I'll get my best 10 lads then, shortly, I'm sure we will be needed for questionings" smirked Rufus cracking his knuckles to mean business, bloody business, his speciality.

Haldor was more ceremonious about it all "Well you certainly need this rogue trader here present to make sure we make the most of the barterings and sales... leave it to a crook to get cheated out of money" smiled broadly

"I'll get my best 10 thugs..." trailed off Haldor at the words rectifying himself "...honourable cautious merchants... and be there soon too" nodded Haldor

The men left the tavern after rewarding the bartender well, given the man also worked for Haldor as one of his own crooked merchants. It would take them all but a few minutes to be assembled and fully armed ready for a proper dragon hunt if it came to that, ropes, nets, blades and weaponry of all kinds and sorts.

Aynor and his group meant business and time was money, lost opportunities meant lost money. They took horses and rode out at full speed, the royal guards and knights looking the other way as these 55 thugs assembled and marched away from the city. No one was foolish enough to dare stop Aynor and his group of thugs for it could easily cost them life or limb if the man was not in the mood to entertain the law.

It would not take them an hour later for Aynor's crowd to meet up at the forest entrance and venture inside, soon finding and surrounding the makeshift camp, finding Inai and Lancelot in the heat of battle, though neither stood the least chance against the renouned outlaw and his more notorious deadly men

Ambrose would walk to her castle and shut the doors, rushing to her father's room, knocking lightly and waiting for an answer before cracking it open. The entirety of his bedroom would also be black, as the door creaked open wider and wider, before revealing her father, lying in his bed. She would bow at the doorway, despite it not being necessary, for she was his daughter. She would approach his bedside and take a place, sitting by his side and taking his hand. She would stare at him with a sincere urgency in her eyes.

"Father....we have a problem."

She says, relaying everything that had happened to her and everything she had learned. Her father would slowly sit up with Ambrose's help, cupping her cheek in his hand before looking at her lovingly. For his daughter was the love of his life, and what he was about to propose would surely put her in danger. He would lean into her ear, whispering his plan's to her, so that only she would know, and her eyes would widen in shock. Though she trusted her father, and would nod as such. She closed her eyes as as her father would tilt her head to the side, licking her neck and biting into it. She would grimace and grip her father's shoulders, closing her eyes as she felt a link be formed between the two of them. The act of a vampire drinking the blood of another vampire only happened when the two of them consented, and wanted to be linked together. He would take as much as he needed and let go, licking her wounds and watched as they healed itself. He would press his forehead to hers, wiping the tear from her eye with his thumb before kissing her gently on the forehead.

"I will come for you....My shining star..."

Was all he said before a smoke surrounded him, and when it cleared he was gone. He had teleported to a realm that human's wouldn't be able to reach. He had to, for if the humans got hold of their king, it would surely be checkmate. Ambrose would nod and stand up, before going to the balcony and blowing a horn to address the town and summon them beneath her balcony. Once they were assembled, she would calm herself and address her people.

"CITIZENS!! I have unfortunate news! The king of the humans have declared war on all our kind!"

She says to the crowd. There were gasps and murmurs before the crowd, and she would raise her right hand to silence them before speaking again.

"Worry not! Your king and I have formed a plan to keep you all safe! Though for this to work, none of you may leave the borders! This is to prevent any casualties and aid us in resolving this as peacefully as possible! So by my royal decree, nobody is allowed to leave our kingdom! Do not engage with humans! You may drink from animals, but avoid all contact with humans! Thank you!"

She says, before dismissing the crowd. She would walk back inside and go to her front door, flinging the doors open and walking out, going to the borders and standing before them. She would hold her hands out in front of the village, and chant a mantra she had learned when she was very little. As she finished, the kingdom would appear to be invisible to any human eye. If they happened to wander into the village, it would appear to them that they were still in the forest, and they would be none the wiser that they had entered the kingdom, as it was invisible to them and they would pass through the buildings and landmarks like ghosts. With that said, she would set the remainder of her plan in motion, and wander aimlessly around the forests, hands behind her back as she sang loudly to herself.
Merthyr paused at the bard that was singing such interesting feasts.

"Why not accompany us, my father would certainly love to hear of such songs and heroes" invited Merthyr offering the travelling bard payment upfront. The gods and heroes he spoke of were often talked about in his father's castle among troubadours and it had sparked his interest to hear more of it.

Gawain was about to protest but did not dare contradict the prince loudly

"They could be blood suckers too!" warned Gawain narrow eyed and suspicious at these musicians.

"Well if they turn out to be, they can have your neck after your disrespect in front of royalty, you almost cost us our freedom and our lives" smirked Merthyr

"Oh what?!" protested Gawain throwing his arms up in the air in disgust

"I trust my orders are clear?" quizzed Merthyr now more serious causing Gawain to wince

"Yes... sire... very clear, your grace" muttered Gawain through gritted teeth coming to give these wandering musicians money to follow them and pray they were not hungry blood suckers too.

He checked them over for weapons, in case they were bandits instead and relaxed himself at the lack of visible weaponry on Dagon and the rest, after all, bards were considered at a servant's level and so not at all a danger in itself for fully armed, well trained men.

If the singer and his group accepted the offer to join them, he would certainly keep a close watch on them. Admittedly he too was intrigued to hear more of their stories so if it ended up with a bite, at least he too was getting some reward of sorts, if he could quench his curiosity
Those who travel acr (played by Thekaleidoscope)

Inai himself finally began to take note of the words and add them to his already conflicting emotion. Finally realising that the man he had challenged was no wandering warrior like himself, but a knight belonging to a kingdom. Which he didn't really care. They all ended up being practically the same to him.

What he did object to and object fiercely to was this knights presumption that should he win this fight Inai would become his squire should he be defeated in this round of combat. "I'm a travelling knight belonging to no kingdom and it will stay that way!"

Slipping the Oni mask into place his first move was to back away and gain distance, willing to observe the actions of his adversary before delivering any blows of his own. His katana held unwaveringly out in front of his own body. Treating the sword as he had read and practised: as an extension of his own arm and its movements.

(could we have a quick ooc discussion on how we want to go about an in rp fight? I never use the dice system for in-game rping so I feel it best both of us worked it out beforehand before leaping into any set ways of going about. Best to PM probably so as to not interupt the flow here)
(( OOC - sure kalei, let's take it to PM. Great RPing with you again, my friend

@Arcol ... looking forward to your characters joining my band of knights too to learn more of your stories
@Ambrose ... the bandits will be finding you soon, is that OK with you? ))
