hello!!!! this is my first real time posting here and I'm in the market for some ..... good anime. I'm really into a lot of more horror/creepy/thriller/darker genre but anything will really be appreciated! I'm new and just getting into it so I don't know a lot about this new world.

**** what I've already seen ****
death note
puella magi madoka magica
inuyasha
attack on titan
elfen lied
deadman wonderland
high school of the dead
future diary
full metal (not all)
avatar the last airbender (not all + most of the korra stuff)

i do not like naturo i'm sry
BUCKLE UP.

Seven Deadly Sins
One Punch Man - comedy, awesome
ID-O
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet
Children of the Whales
Soul Eater
Ouran High Host Club - comedic, but sweet. I could watch this series over and over again!
Durarara!! is a rollercoaster. Absolutely phenomenal show. Probably my favorite.

Rokka No Yuusha was good. Mystery/suspense with action.

Fate/Zero is really good so far; I'm watching it now.

My Hero Academia is great. At first it appears like any other shounen anime about a kid who is weak but grows strong. That's wrong. This show is much more than that and I didn't have very high hopes for it. Now I'm in season 3 and loving it.

Tokyo Ghoul is great, but it's often over hyped by people who just like it because it's edgy. If you focus on the plot and moral quandary, the themes, it is great. Anything else, Celestina has already said it.
If you are interested in some older anime, I recommend-

-Magic Knight Rayearth (truly my all time favorite but the darker stuff doesn't come until much later)
-You're Under Arrest (slice of life with compelling characters)
-Rurouni Kenshin (First three seasons are really good)
-Vision of Escaflowne (TV series, not the movie)
-NOIR (Crazy assassin girls and secret societies for the win)
psi

Cowboy Bebop. Because just everyone should.
I personally loved

Ranma 1/2 (16+)
Claymore
Hellsing (TV and ultimate, check out the abridged if you have the time)
Captain Tsubasa
Berserk (The manga & old adaptation)
Trigun (loved the shit out of it)

I liked Ranma initially but got sort of frustrated with the fact that it just went on and on with no real resolution. That was frustrating for me. Just personally. It's got a lot of good stuff in it though so it's still a fun watch.
It is a blast but you are right, the lack of conclusion is frustrating but it is a common denominator in such harem anime.
There are just so many, Id recommend

My hero Academia. (Took me 2 tries to actually get into it but from second and especially third season it gets real good)
Rurouni Kenshin
RE:Life
Berserk

Berserk

I second berserk. Fantastic anime! (1997 anime or the movies, NOT 2016/2017 anime. '97 anime is sooo good)
If you like some good old gore try
. Corpse Party Tortured Souls
Other wise
. Tokyo Ghoul
. Konosuba
. Parasyte
. Assassination Classroom (sniff sniff )
. Your Lie in April ( more sniff )
And so many more I can't think of

does it follow the games at all?/is it just the movie version of the games or a completely different thing?

also @ everyone -
thank you!! i wasn't expecting to actually get so many replies/recs so i appreciate it!!
(i obviously have a huge list but i will still appreciate any more y'all can throw at me)
I am also new but, these animes arent really related to the kind of animes your talking about but, here are some i like, Dance with Devils, Dame x Prince, Yamada and the seven witches, Kami Gami no Asobi, Diabolik Lovers , Bungo stray dogs, Kiss him not me, Black Butler etc.
Going to second-

Fate/Zero
Berserk: Golden Age Arc movies
Cowboy Bebop

- since it seems your going for the real gems on your list there. I'll throw you an "Akira" for a classic sci-fi and renowned spectacle of hand drawn animation.

Oh right, and School Days is definitely the best romance Ive ever seen. Very touching with a great impactful ending that'll make your heart stop. Would reccomend.

Any more weebs on the site? Get in here.
If you're into horror and suspenseful anime, then I'd strongly recommend you check out the Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni series. Even though I myself am not a fan of horror, Higurashi is still one of my most favorite anime to date.

It balances out the creepiness with lots of comedy though, so I'd keep that in mind.
Asroc

I am a Mech, Sci Fi and Horror fan...

Cyborg 009 (80's and the 2000 one. Do check out the crossover with DevilMan.)
Yamato and the Remake
Slayers

THIS
I couldn't agree more! School Days changed my life.
Once you see it, you become enlightened. It is quite truly a masterpiece of the ages.
If you don't watch it, you can never truly call yourself a fan of anime.
