Alright peeps I'm looking for as many songs as you can sling at me but here's the kicker. I'm searching for Rock and it can't be from before the 80's. So lets see your favorite songs and surprise me with stuff that's never really been heard before.

Why am I asking for this? Why because I'm attempting to build up a roster for a DJ job that I'm trying to go for on Second Life. Plus its a great topic to fling out there for discussion.

Ever heard of Skindred? It's a combination of rock, metal and reggae.

Great bands and I do love Paralyzer but I'm more looking for individual songs that you like and not just the band in general
skillet: Comatose, Awake and Alive

Finger Eleven: Paralyzer (obviously)

Fall out boy: Sugar we're going down, thanks for the memories

and now that I think of it,

The Rasmus: In the Shadows

Flyleaf: Fully alive, All around me, Again

Evanescence: Bring Me To Life (and so many others)
would screamo music be okay like bullet for my valentine: tears dont't fall

Not many like this genre but we all listened to it (the genre) when we were teenagers, at some time or another.

Hey I really like this song, never heard of it before too which makes it unique to me. Is this really considered rock cuz honestly it sounds more poppish or is it pop rock. I can't believe there's so many different genra's of rock
Bullet For My Valentine - Riot

Pierce The Veil - King For A Day

Red - Die For You

Red - Same Disease

Killswitch Engaged - My Curse

Woe, Is Me - Vengeance

Escape The Fate - You're Insane

( And so many more...) ^_^

Yeah, there are a lot of subgenres of Rock, but they're all rock nonetheless. I think Sugarcult would be considered pop rock, or something of the like. Just group them in with Simple Plan :P

"Folk Metal" or "Power Metal" (it has a couple names you could call it by) is always a good one in my books.
I'll just leave some band names here, you can look them up ^^

Amon Amarth
Omnia
Xandria
Elvenking
Rhapsody of Fire
Nightwish
Kamelot
