Desmond Stroud (played by Dehzinn)

Simon, who was filling his own clips with the 9mm parabelum ammo, waited for whoever that man was and turned his head around towards ross, "Who the hell was that guy?", he asked to everyone remaining there, who also didn't have a clue, but according to him, steak was on the menu. The four of them just left whatever they were doing and rushed towards the door, pushing eachother and heading to the mess hall.

The mess hall smelt fricking fantastic. A few people where eating since most where eggheads, who got their portion of food, and disappeared into the laboratories. The people left where the heavy weaponry men, which was about 6, and the big boys who just did heavy lifting, and 2 or 3 of the men who always had dart guns with them. Besides that it was empty, and poor old Ace was being Guarded by two men while she ate, well, poked at the food, still in Manacles. She was cursing quietly. Oh yes, Mentally unstable... She was tired, and they where playing around with her like a toy.

A few minutes alter, Marina was walking to get her dinner, which was nothing much more then a small steak and a few of the other things before taking a place with the men. "So, thank you for yuor trouble. In a few days time the anti-infection will be able to be mass produced. " she said, not really eating much.

Ross had also been thinking about what would happen after they deployed the cure, he wasn't even sure if there was a way to do so, "But how are we going to deploy it? we can't just go block by block injecting this thing on the infected", he said, poking his empty plate with a fork while the rest of the squad went for a second row.

"No, you are right. A few of the men are using some metal and making a something like a bomb, that when it drops, the fumes will be thin like air and would easily be breathed in with anything in the area. " Marina Explained, yawning, wishing she had more coffee on hand.

"But how are you going to drop it?" Ross asked, after all, no one would like to be close to one of these things when it blowed up, since the countdown would probably attract any infected from miles away onto them, and it would probably be an open place, like a park, since the bomb needed to go in all possible directions. "Will it be hazrdous?", he asked too.
Unknown user

"The base has an old chopper in one of the hangers, which we could use, and it won't be hazrdous, but, i wouldn't get in the way of the fumes, it causes headaches as Doctor Lyme had learned this evening, who gets to spend a few days in the hospital. " she explained, muttering the last part under her breath. The fact is it was aheadache that made you want to pass out, or throw up.

"Won't gas filters work for it?" Ross asked, since everyone's helmet in his squad had attachable gas filters, "And won't the pavelow we have be enough to carry the payload?", he asked again.
Unknown user

" We don't know, we didn't test it. The fact it works, is a good thing, so we will be using it..." she mumbled. "Besides, if we use the Chopper, we wouldn't have to worry about gas masks or anything along those lines.

Ross looked at the rest of his squad to check if everything was in order before going on with the conversation, "Why not?", he asked, now genuinely interested.

"You just drop it high enough that the fumes don't reach you." she murmured tiredly.

"Ok then, when are we going to drop this thing?", he asked Marina, poking with a fork on his empty plate.

"Some time tomorrow in the morning. No one is up to it tonight." Marina stated with a yawn. "And quiet frankly, neither am I. "
Desmond Stroud (played by Dehzinn)

"Good", he simply said, getting up and signaling for the rest of his squad to follow him back to the armory. On the way there he started briefing them on what was coming up next, "Last of all I want you all to take a good night of sleep before we head out tomorrow o' six hundred", he said, stopping at the front of the armory blast door and heading inside.

The Next day, everything was set up, ready to go, people where pretty hopeful that this would work, and well, if it didn't they where screwed. 192 was no where to be seen, but Marina was on deck, alive, awake and probably in best conditions.
Desmond Stroud (played by Dehzinn)

The squad had stood about half of the last night only gearing up for the operation, and while all the base was on the edge, it was only another assigment for the four of them, Ross, Desmond, Marcus and Simon, elite mercenaries who where lucky enough to survive the infection. Desmond was sitting on top of an ammo crate inside the hangar looking at his brand new M14, aparently, they would ride on the pavelow, serving as an escort to the chopper. He was fairly calm, since it was all supposed to be easy peasy because they where virtually untouchable from the infected while they where in the air. Desmond just watched the movement on the hangar while Ross tried to give on last debriefing for the squad, who had already listened to the same drill countless times.

192 was sort of staying out of all this, entering once and awhile, for only a moment, before going off again into the halls that almost where like a maze. 192 was back again, again for only a little while, curious about what was going on, since, she now saw Desmond and the group talking. 192 cocked her head to the side, clicking quietly, not able to hear them over the noises. 192 kept her distance, only really being able to get in the way, compared to being able to help. The heavy lifting was done and all that was needed to be done was the minor things, which, well, that was pointless for 192 to help with, so , she was understandably fidgety about not doing anything at all, used to helping out a lot with humans.

''Ok people, this is going to be easy peasy. In and out'', Ross Said, getting inside the chopper, an oldC H-47, and waiting for the thing to take off followed by Desmond while Ross and Simon went to the pavelow, taking off first, since they were they were their escorts. It actually took twenty more minutes for them to take off, and three more grunts joined the CH-47 crew, including it’s pilot, the other two were armed with M4’s and would be the ones who would push the bomb, which was about the size of a couch. The bomb itself would be deployed like Daisy-cutter, since the thing was so heavy and needed a parachute to slow it down when it detonated above the surface for maximum efficiency.

The helicopter took off later, heading straight for the city square, which was about the perfect spot to drop it, and make the blast spread to the whole city, sewers and metro, completely eradicating every sign of the infection. Atleast in teory. Desmond was at some of the passengers seat, looking at the payload inside the helicopter, ‘Twenty seconds!’, yelled the pilot, and the grunts got up, and started to push the payload closer to the open ramp. ‘Five seconds’, he yelled, and the grunts got in position. ‘Now, go, go go!’, This time it was one of them who actually said it, and they pushed the bomb, throwing it off the helicopter and making its parachutes open.

They waited a couple of minutes, but nothing. Ross reached for his helmet radio, “Simon, do you have a visual on the explosion? Roget that”, he said, shaking his head towards the rest of the crew. The thing didn’t go off. Ross reached for the new transmitter that he had acquired from Marina, “It didn’t go off, good job’’, he said, waiting for an answer.
