Lacey looked up at Kyrie and her mouth dropped open a bit. "You get to live inside?" She asked excitingly. All the people who she ever worked for never let her sleep inside the house. She walked inside with the others and gazed at the inside longer than the outside. It was absolutely beautiful.
"Well, I must return to my studies for a little while," Josh said.He looked Lackeys name tag, then at Kyrie."Kyrie, will you please show Lacey around?" He asked.Kyrie nodded a respectful yes.Josh left the room, and went to his study room, closing, and locking, the door behind him.Kyrie looked at Lacey, "let's look around a bit, then we'll clean you up"
Lacey watched Josh leave for his study and she turned around to face Kyrie. "He is really nice." She said with a smile once he was gone. "Ok, I would really like that." She added with another smile. She had already smiled more times than she had ever smiled in her life.
"Yeah, he is.." Kyrie responded. She had told her he was nice. She grabbed her hand, and led her along, showing her around.
"Wow this place is big." Lacey said, letting herself be showed around the house. There was more beauty to this house than any of the others ever had.
There was one room she showed Lacey, but didn't go inside, only opening the door, to allow Lacey inside."This, will be your room" she said. That must have sounded heavenly to Lacey,
"I get my own room????" She almost yelled excitingly. The room was perfect for her. It had lavender walls and a bed with lavender blankets. There was even a chest at the end of the bed for belongings. "This is so awesome!!" She said smiling and looking back up at Kyrie. "You have your own room too, right?" She asked curiously.
She was a little surprised by the child's excitement over a room,She nodded, it was Laceys room.Hers alone.Kyrie would have to tidy it up every now and then, as her job was doing so, but besides that, it was all Laceys."Yes.I have my own room" she said."Mine has light blue as its theme though.Yours has purple."
"This is so awesome!" She said hugging Kyrie in her excitement. She immediately took a step back, afraid that Kyrie would be mad at her. "I-im sorry.... I was just really excited that I actually get my own room....." She said trailing off into silence.
She was left without words went the child hugged her. This excited, over a room..? Kyrie wondered, it seemed so."No apology required, I did not mind at all" Kyrie said. She got on her knees, down at the little girls level."New things make new joy I suppose" she said. She looked around at the purple room from the doorway then back at Lacey, "its a lovely room, so I can understand why your happy"
"Ok." Lacey said, nodding. "It is very pretty." She added, looking around the room again to make sure it wasn't a figmentation of her imagination. "Can we see the rest of the house too?" She asked politely, taking Kyrie's hand again.
Kyrie nodded, and stood up again, holding Lacey's hand. She led her off, to show her the rest of the house.Living room, kitchen, location f the bathroom, den, Josh's study room location in case she needed him for something, so forth,
Lacey looked at each room with interest, carefully remembering the way to each room. Especially the bathroom. She noticed that Kyrie showed her Josh's study, it was probably if Lacey ever needed his help. Pretty soon they had seen the whole house and Lacey's stomach rumbled loudly. Her cheeks went red as she tried to quiet her growling stomach but she didn't succeed.
Kyrie heard the girls stomach growl. She led the girl back to the kitchen."You can get something to eat it you want"
"Ok." Lacey said politely, opening the fridge that was twice her size. She scanned the shelves and saw a baked potato on one of the highest shelves and her mouth started watering. Lacey turned back to Kyrie and tilted her head up to look at her. "Can I please have the potato?" She asked nicely, crossing her fingers behind her back.
Kyrie nodded, without any hesitance. If she wanted the potato, she could have it.Neither her, or Josh, would mind. Not at all, not one bit.
Lacey smiled and reached for the potato, coming short a couple inches. She stretched and tried to grab it but she was too small. "Can you please get it for me?" She asked, holding her hands behind her back and rocking back and forth on her heels.
She nodded.Without a word, Kyrie walked over to the fridge. She got the potato for Lacey, and held it out for her to take..
Lacey smiled again and sat at the table in the kitchen, carefully setting the potato in front of her. "Can I please have a fork?" She asked tentatively, turning around in the chair to face Kyrie.
Kyrie walked over to a drawer, and opened it.Pulling out a fork, and closing the drawer back. She walked over to Lacey and handed her the fork, "there you go"
