It tasted plain? In fact, the shark ate nothing, but the air. Somehow, the number wasn't tangible.

"Mrrrr?" [confused]

He brought Sue a dry martini

"We call it Siracusan where I'm from, you know."

"I'm really fine, thanks for caring. I'm... not really good at handling a hit on my head though..."

Seemed like nothing too bad, the area of the bump only turned red a little.

She extended her hand to her brother's,
with the latter standing up, to help herself get up.

"...it's okay."

Sue gave a worried smile. "I have some candy if that'll help you feel better! I'd offer some of this to numb the pain too but martinis aren't for kids you know~" Sue swirled her glass gently with a playful show of her tongue.

Candy?” Esme asked, incredulous. “What good's that going to do? Give the girl an ibuprofen or something.” If Sue had been referring to some sort of painkiller, that went completely above Esme's head. She had a tendency to take things too literally.

“No point in doing any of this if I wasn't dedicated. I'd never get anything done. Didn't replace my eye in a day, that's for sure,” she said. “Some wouldn't call it dedication. Obsession, perhaps, or... oh, what was the word the Legion used? Unstable. Me, unstable, can you imagine?”

"Yeah, i mean i don't have ibuprofen, but at least something sweet will distract her from the pain~"

With that, Esme might be clued that Sue literally did mean candy.
"Ibuprofen? That's exaggerating the problem." A drop of sweat could be seen on the boy's forehead as he looked at Esme bewildered.
"I mean, getting a small bump on the head is nothing too serious, it only hurts and sometimes causes dizziness if you hit a bit hard. Well, not anywhere it'd harm your skull though."

Xueqing used her left hand to rub the spot where she bumped on the wall earlier.
"Said I'm fine..."
"That's a strange way of dealing with pain. And ineffective, I would think. But the girl says she's fine, so..." She paused and turned to Xueqing. "You know, I never did get your name, kid."
Sue bot (played by KookyWitchBasil)

Sue bot also took a position rubbing Xueqing's head, thinking it was for fun. "Rock a bye Xueqing on the tree top~ when the wind blows, your HP will drop~" she sang.
Xueqing looked at Sue bot for a second, with a... weird expression. Then, she turned to Esme, "Name's Xueqing, in case you weren't listening earlier." She shrugged playfully.
"Che noia! I've heard better lullabies from militant criminals~ Hehehe~"
Esme repeated Xueqing's name back just to make sure she got the pronunciation right, then introduced herself. “Esmeralda Sidonia. I know, it's flowery; my father was a high elf with a penchant for theatrics. Just call me Esme,” she said.

She glanced over her shoulder to look at Sue Bot. “Is... is the robot meant to sing?”
"Would you prefer if the robot was trying to kill people?" Mikazuki raised an eyebrow.
"That's... a bit of a long name." She scratched her head, no longer covering where she was hurt. "Yeah, maybe I'll just call you... uh... Es-meh... Es-ma... Yeah, Esme."
The girl nodded, then looked at Sue bot slightly concerned. "I think she is singing, just not aware of what she's expressing when she's singing."
Sue giggled slyly at the comments towards Sue bot. "Oh, she can sing and dance, even perform on stage~ she's a silly thing. But she's also got a loaded pistol~"

"Pew pew!" Sue bot mimed finger guns, winking at the others. "I'm a bona fide cow girl!"

"That makes two of us."

Of course Mikazuki has a loaded, semi-automatic handgun, but he's following the rules, as you should, and not actively brandishing it or the like.
"You mean she's also capable to fight stuff?" The girl seemed intrigued. "That's unexpected, eheh."
The boy blinked, slowly tilting his head, "?"
“Damn, and to think, I left my rifle at home. I didn't know it was that kind of party,” Esme monotoned, attempting to make a joke. She kept one grenade with her at all times, but otherwise was unarmed for a night of drinking. Probably safer that way.

“Did you build her yourself?” she asked Sue. “You've piqued my interest now—I do want to see her dance. Must've been a tricky thing to program, assuming she can dance with a little more coordination than me."
"I wouldn't think it's too difficult to program a machine."

"Field reprogramming requires manual interchange of cognis-data blocks in and out of the Kastelan Battle-Automata. In extreme circumstances, I can force an override via Cybertheurgic Arcana."
