"Yeah. The stubborn army commanders are the worst. None of my usual tricks work on them."

"You can't win over every heart and mind, after all."
May I try some

Aleksandr inquired, seeing Ubba indulge himself with fenrisian ale.
Apollo Meyer (played by Mixpixi)

Aleksandr Von Drakenfell wrote:
Aleksandr stood his ground, a scowl appeared on his features and any ounce of sympathy he once held now turned to contempt. He looked upon the shift as if it were another tuesday, raising a hand to pause his guards from annihilating the thing on the spot.

" I concede I stand corrected, you are a spawn of the great devourer, a tyranid bioform... but do not delude yourself in assuming you represent a credible threat to mankind... The Aeldari I could respect... but you do not warrant any attention or pity. "

The general turned from the Xenos, returning to his corner, clearly disappointed.

“Alrighty then. Loath me in whatever way you prefer.” Apollo seemed accustomed to such hatred, unaffected by Aleksandr’s words. If anything what bothered him most was the man’s continuous mis-identification. did this man still not realize they were from different universes? Had he ever taken a biology class?

His attention flicked towards Ami, shrugging in response. “Isn’t he your commander or something? Kinda bold to say that in front of him. You’re cool.”
"I mean I talk smack to some of my commanders, but eh, they're usually alright with it anyway."
Im perfectly alright with it, she isnt a guardswoman anymore, shes a sister of battle, different chain of command. But it doesnt bother me, we 40k folk are as they say... pretty tight.
"Thank you, Mathius. I do appreciate the refill," she said after she finished her delicious chicken marsala. "The food was great, Mathius. I thank you for drink and food. I might retire for the night," she said to Mathius as she yawned a little bit.

She looked at Apollo with a scorn look on her face. "Was. I am not under him, but I consider him a comrade," she said as she looked at Aleksandr for a moment. "Thank you, Aleksandr. This man is a creature we need to study..." she boldly said as she nodded and stared back at Apollo. "We are definitely tight like that. What do you have? Yourself? Please save your bickering with someone else," she said coldly as her purple eyes locked onto Apollo's eyes as she drank her white whine.

"I will deal with it, Aleksandr. Just give the word," she said as she glared further at Apollo as though she started to not trust who he was either. "And keep in mind, Apollo. They call me Gravedigger for a reason," she finished as she went quiet as she yawned again but out of boredom this time.
Basil (played by KookyWitchBasil)

Basil tilted her head in confusion, turning to the general Aleksandr.

"That doesn't seem right... you were just trying to uplift the boy a moment ago... and now you won't have anything to do with him because of what he is? That's... not fair!"

Aleksandr issued a subtle grin and nodded to the witch, stepping out of character for a moment.

Ehrm... I can see where youre coming from but the rule of thumb in my universe is if it has more than two eyes you shoot first and ask questions later... actually, that rule holds for a lot of things regardless of how many eyes they have.

I dont imagine you run into a lot of things wanting to rip your face off, but this is a common occurrence, I suppose its a matter of universe context. Also, that is mostly just superfluous banter on my part. Besides what is a lord general to do when an alien bears claws at him, not like i was going to give him a hug.

Youre a sweet person, I can appreciate you wanting to look out for him, that exchange might have spurned some negative emotions, reasonably so... would you like to listen to some relaxing music to get your mind off it?

"Some lovely music would get the edge off of anyone," she exclaimed at him as she was ready for some calming music to get her mind off of war and bloodshed.

"Anyone else want some calming music?" she said as she sat there with her eyes closed as she listened to the music while she got enthralled by it.
"Relaxing beats to chillout and study to"

"This is lethal to non-Astartes, Lord General. Mathius has a drink similar. Mathius, please give Lord General some of that human-Mjod"
He brought the Lord General a mug of Faroese mead. He set it on a coaster. "House recipe mead"
