Apollo Meyer (played by Mixpixi)

He put down his phone, a bit surprised by the fact multiple people discussing his infertility.
“Geez, you guys are hung up on that. I’m just an alien, maybe there’s like a big mother creature producing a bunch of my species. Maybe I do parthenogenesis, I dunno. Don’t care enough to find out.”
Basil (played by KookyWitchBasil)

He glanced up at Aleksandr again, "Aeldari again?... Sir, I told you, I have no clue what I am. And I'm fairly certain Aeldari don't exist in my universe. I'm just a 'genetic salad' as far as I understand, which renders me sterile. No clue how my species will live on." Apollo shrugged

After making such a strange retort, he returned back to his game; frowning as a creeper blew up his house.

"Don't be so glum! Whatever a doctor can't help, magic can!" Basil said optimistically, from inside Apollo's game. She was hovering on her broomstick inside the rubble of the destroyed house.

Apollo stared back at his game, letting out a long sigh. “I’m good. Thank you.”

He clenched his jaw and laid down his phone with the screen facing the table.
Basil (played by KookyWitchBasil)

Basil warped thru a hole in the ceiling.

"Well that's ok. The meaning of life is about living it! You're doing that just perfectly~"

Basil's eyes gave a smile - as she lacked a jaw - and she sipped a drink mysteriously into her cranium thru a silly straw.
Narrowed his gaze.

My.. my... what will those Aeldari come up with next, hrmph... parthenogenesis... next you're going to say you build a cocoon to pupate in... direct thine pointed ears hither and listen well lad.

He pointed to his chainsword

I've seen the insides of a fair few Aeldari in my day and the chainsword was not the only weapon I used for such explorations, I think I know an Aeldari when I see one, denial is not just a river on Terra! come now, there's nothing wrong with a bit of ancestral shame, you needn't deny your kinship... you think I'm not agonized every waking moment by the thought that every heretic and traitor was once our own, well I am, but it doesn't mean I go around telling people I'm not human... ohhh... don't be so down

Aleksandr snapped his fingers at one of his guard

" Go bring the boy some gingerbread... ehrm.. candy... whatever it is that Aeldari eat. "

He then turned back to Apollo

" You've merely lost your mirth, your bravado, your vigor, your urge to procreate... I've seen many a guardsman with the same look upon your face... in my day I'd usually strap them to the front of an aquila lander and take them for a spin, it'd fix them right up... barring a few accidents... damned administratum banned the practice afterwards... something about it being unethical... the surviving guards told me it was a surreal experience anyhow, I know precisely what you need.... COMBAT ! yes... WAR !... I'll take you Ork hunting with me next time I go, teach you about the birds and the bees so to speak, the so called talk... and about the responsibilities vested therein, what say you my boy ? "
Basil (played by KookyWitchBasil)

"Errm, I think Minecraft has plenty of combat." Basil said, hoping the young one wouldn't be brought into real war.

Aleksandr issued a loud laugh, slapping his knee

I think it'll take more than laying mines, ba-hah, even the dumbest, most incompetent guardsman can put down some mines, they usually don't see much action, I'm talking about the frontlines!
"I, uh...would think that not everyone is suited for direct combat like that?"
" Well ofcourse not, we've got to get him some fatigues, a helmet, a flak vest and a lasgun... then he'll be suited for combat! "
"Again, he doesn't seem the type for frontline combat..."

"You know, actually, I think the general might be onto something."

Basil giggled and waved her wand, and then a full suit of power armor appeared!

"Now THIS is suitable for Frontline combat!"
Xueqing tried mimicking the... "Binharic squawk". From her memory.
[d20: 18] She did it relatively well...

The alien stood up, “Oh, yeah? Are Aeldari capable of this?”
Apollo was clearly getting fed up with being called an Aeldari. As Aleksandr spoke, he gradually shifted his body. An extra set of eyes opened up on the apple of his cheeks, his sclera turned black, his ears grew more contorted, his hands became bigger and gained claw-like fingertips, he grew taller and more muscular. Essentially, he’d partially shifted into what he regarded his ‘hungry’ form.

“I do not gain any sustenance from gingerbread” he calmly stated, staring at Aleksandr with 5 eyes in total- there was another one on his forehead. “I began as a blob-like creature, then took the form of whomever I first consumed. I hope that’s enough context to explain I am not one of your ‘Aeldari’” his gaze hardened. “I do not desire to create any more of me, even if i knew how. They’d be a plague on mankind.”

He transformed back into his usual appearance
“Thank you for your kindness, but I decline. I have no desire to partake in war.

He sat back down with a small sigh.
Ami Greystorm (played by Girfactor)

She heard the conversation between Aleksandr and Apollo as she sighed softly. "Men and them proving something," she said as she went back to her wine to find out she had none left. "More wine please, Brother Mathius?" she asked him as she sat back to watch the events unfold. "He won't listen to reason, Apollo," she said with another sigh as she looked at him with cold demeanor on her face.
Aleksandr stood his ground, a scowl appeared on his features and any ounce of sympathy he once held now turned to contempt. He looked upon the shift as if it were another tuesday, raising a hand to pause his guards from annihilating the thing on the spot.

" I concede I stand corrected, you are a spawn of the great devourer, a tyranid bioform... but do not delude yourself in assuming you represent a credible threat to mankind... The Aeldari I could respect... but you do not warrant any attention or pity. "

The general turned from the Xenos, returning to his corner, clearly disappointed.
"That's just what you should expect as a General, anyway, is disappointment."
You are not wrong, though I suspect the Mordian perfectionism may be at fault, the burden of my expectations often exceeds the capacities of those who carry them fortunately they do not live long enough to face my ire, the commissars usually deal with them first. In truth, I have come to expect it but it is eclipsed by my demand for excellence.
"Just Mathius, please" he poured Ami more white wine and gave Ubba another cask of Fenrisian ale.
"Yeah. The stubborn army commanders are the worst. None of my usual tricks work on them."
"EXCELLENT, MATHIUS!" Hrme boomed before he started drinking the ale
