He blinked once. Then twice. And finally a third time. "I do my best not to think of those things." The former hero confessed. "But as frustrating as it may be to you, Miss Roni, I'm afraid I'm the sort to err on the side of caution until proven otherwise." He was doing his best to be polite about this matter. He was a jaded adult who'd seen too many wars, had dealt with the negative side of humanity and was even raised by what would be seen as the scum of the earth. And frankly, he had every right to be cautious. He wasn't saying he wouldn't give people a chance. He was saying that he didn't care for compliments that had to do with his appearance. Such things irked him. Other qualities were fine. Things used to push sales, recruiting campaigns that took the lives of many and even push propaganda? Not so much.
