Once, there was a kingdom.
It was peaceful, yet stable.

It was a place where all races could gather, and live as one. However, one power-hungry, evil man tore it all down when he rose to the throne.

Now, those who cannot pay have been enslaved. Some turning to thievery and murder. Everyone wanted, prayed even, for him to be stopped. But even the strongest warrior couldn't tear him down. Those who tried, were killed.

Few had hope. Few had enough courage to stand up and fight. One of those few, was...

A string of curses left her lips as the armed guards grew closer in their pursuit. Despite her lungs screaming, and her legs on the brink of giving out, she pushed harder, running faster so she can make another escape. She hadn't ever been this close to capture, but her and the local guards had quite the history.

Entering the forest, she scampered up a tree, the small group of guards searching the area where she 'disappeared'. Eventually, the left, giving up on their search of the troublesome girl. Sighing with relief, she attempted to climb down. Key word: attempted. Mid way, her foot had slipped, causing her to fall. She landed on her back hard, curses once again falling from her mouth.

Blaise was tending to his makeshift tent when he heard someone fall from a tree. He got up and walked over to where the sound came from. When Blaise got there he saw a girl on her back. He leaned against a tree and said, "That must have been some fall."

She managed to get into a sitting position, when she replied, "I guess it was." Assuming a standing position, she then shrugged off the incident by adding, "But I've had worse."

Blaise nodded, "If you are looking for a place to hide from the thorn in the side king, I have a camp set up not to far away from here." He said pointing behind him. "I will just have to make another makeshift tent."

"That would be absolutely amazing," she replied, a smile forming on her lips. "Those hounds have been still won't go away!" Holding out her hand, she stated. "I'm Lillian. But you can call me Lilly."

Jason was jumping from tree to tree, scanning the area. He eventually saw the two talking and stopped, starting to listen in onto the conversation. "Maybe they know where I can go..."

Blaise nodded, not going to shake her hand, "My name is Blaise, I would shake your hand, but being part Phoenix my body temp kind of burns anything I touch." Before he continued he sensed someone's heat signature up above them, "I can sense your presence in the tree, you might as well show yourself." He said without looking up at Jason.

He shrugged and jumped down from the tree. "Okay then!" He leaned against it, putting his foot on the bottom of the trunk.

Blaise looked at Jason, "Glad you should yourself, my name is Blaise, I am a half Phoenix." Blaise put his hand in his pocket, "So what is your name, and what are you doing around, are you hiding from the king as well."

"I'm Jason, and yes, I'm running from the king. I'm pretty sure that's what we're all doing, right?" He sighed wistfully. "Well, it's nice to meet you guys."

"Call me Lilly," She said, eyeing the guy that 'dropped in', quite literally. "The king's as good as coat in summer, in my opinion." She placed her hands on her hips.

Blaise smirked a bit, "Well I have a camp set up not to far from here, Just will have to make another tent for you. Follow me." Blaise started to walk back towards his camp in the woods.

Lilly followed Blaise towards his camp. "I can help you with the tents, Blaise," She suggested, trying to make some conversation.

He watched as they started walking away. 'Either freeze...or be with people,' he thought to himself. He groaned and yelled out, "Hey, can I come with you guys?"

Blaise looked over at him, "I already said I would make a tent for you at my campsite, so I think that means yes, you can come." Blaise then looked back at her, "Thanks, it will definitely help." Blaise's campsite was set up next to a small clear pond. A tent made of some sticks, leaves, and hardened mud. "The part that I have trouble with is gathering the leaves and sticks, as I said before, my body temperature kind of burns everything I touch."

Lilly smiled. "I can help with that!" She began to pick up suitable sticks that would do, doing her best to help.

Hey, I'd be fine helping with that," Jason said with a shrug, starting to pick up the necessary supplies. "It's not the hardest thing I've ever done," he mumbled under his breathe.
