There are some songs that just bring me nostalgia and make me think of my childhood. What are some of yours?

there's probably lots of phineas and ferb in here

"Somewhere Out There" from American Tale :p

Richard Marx
Classic Mariah Carey

But then y'know, me listening to this and jamming out to Kids Bop...

Also those songs you didn't realize had dirty stuff in it until you were older.

I feel like the songs put in the OP make me feel old, despite only being 22, because I know none of them XD

However, this one never fails to give me extreme nostalgia, despite having hated it with a passion when I was in like 5-7th grade when it came out? This is the best song ever lmao

And also, because obviously

EDIT: I thought of more I'm sorry XD

My ultimate jam

See but the thing is Crow, is that you're childhood was done not too many years before mine was. XD So it's so funny because I was so close to have been able to watch those shows, but I missed them. XD

It's just that good that it was put on a 10 hour loop. K?

90's and early 2000's country music brings back a lot of memories in the car with my mom. Like, Shania Twain's 'Man I feel like a Woman' or so many, many things!

Love Bill Nye! Remember him on local Seattle TV on a comedy show that came on after Saturday Night Live called... Almost Live. And Bill Nye was Speedwalker.

Now, on to some Nostalgic Songs .... more like Nostalgic Albums. Having a sister five years older than me, she introduced me to some music from her album buying that has stuck with me through the years... these six albums in particular:

The Rolling Stones - High Tide and Green Grass
Meet The Beatles
The Doors
The Doors - Waiting For The Sun
The Byrds - Mr Tamborine Man
Donovan - Greatest Hits

Anyone remember Beakman's World? He was like...a whakier Bill Nye. Lol.

It's not linked to a memorable song, but Bill Nye reminded me of that.

It was soooo deliberately ridiculous! Good memories.

Also for nostalgic songs I will add...

(What?? They were good! Lol)

Theme songs:

- French Prince of Bel Aire

"This is the story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down..."

- Family Matters

"It's a rare condition, this day and age, to read any good news on the newspaper page...."

- Perfect Strangers

"Standing tall, on the wings of my dreams. Rise and fall, on the wings of my dreams..."

- Growing Pains

"Show me that smile again.
Don't waste another minute on your cryin'..."

- Full House

"Everywhere you look, everywhere you look. There's a heart. A hand to hold on to..."

- The Jefferson's

"Movin' on up, to the eastside..."

- Out of this World

"Would you like to swing on a star?..."

- LaVerne and Shirley

"Give us any chance, we'll take it,
Read us any rule, we'll break it,
We're gonna make our dreams come true,
Doing it our way..."

Yep. Sit Com theme songs. Nostalgic. Lol

So a moment of nostalgia came along today. I was on my way home from work and I was listening to 3RRR 102.7 FM when the DJ plays the live 21 and a half minute album-side cut of Rare Earth's 'Get Ready'. It was hard enough to get FM radio to play it back in the day... so hats off to Woody McDonald and his radio show The Cave!

Basically anything from the 90s and early 2000s. I still end up smiling every time I hear "Who Let the Dogs Out" because every school dance ended with that song, and it's just... it's just there.

Imagine by John lennon. Working class hero by John lennon also.

Power by EXO

Any 90's grunge. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, etc. People will claim they all sound the same but I am here to tell you that's a bloody lie. :P
