Have you ever really thought about that line in LoTR where the orc says

'Looks like meat's back on the menu, boys!'?

Doesn't this insinuate that orcs know what menus are?
Is there a restaurant in Mordor?

What other things have you noticed? Silly things, shower thoughts, anything! Share with me :D
Of course there are menus. They have inns and taverns which serve food and drink. Even in Mordor, which is not the only place orcs can be found, there are likely halls where food options exist. I remember getting menus for school lunch. *shrugs*
Rogue-Scribe

Ah yes, one of the many Peter Jackson ‘artistic license’ moments of the film. *cringe* I’ve tried to forget about that line and many others in those movies.

The one line I think about is where would the Orcs Shagrat and Gorbag ‘set up a tavern’ together? They never did as they ended up killing each other over Frodo’s mightily shirt, but still....
Menu's aren't restricted to restaurants lol. Menu's have been around for hundreds of years even in this world, and it doesn't seem unrealistic they'd exist in that world. Menu's are as simple as a board on a tavern bar counter that lists the available drinks and meals for that day, night or week. A menu could even just be 'word of mouth' from the cook or bar tender on what's available.

As for silly thoughts...

Sometimes I get random thoughts like "Who created the hot dog..." or "what if giants do exist, and we are actually living above the "normal sized" humans..."
I mean, Orcs if anything seem to be the most advanced race in Middle earth - in both Isengard and Barad-Dur they had full scale industrialisation going on.
i can't believe i'm admitting this, but sometimes i think about the scene from twilight where edward has bella on his back and calls her a spider monkey (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBqkb6iQfzs) or when she finds out that jacob nicknamed her daughter 'nessie' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0nr9qezCGM) - mostly because they have become a sort of meme
I imagine that to get into an establishment in Mordor, you must have a reservation.

One does not simply walk in.

LOL
I don't notice stuff like the menus thing, but I do notice when a character or plot is predictable.

It's like, "Oh, he's the underdog getting bullied so he's going to have to do something brave to prove himself to get the pretty girl. And then at the end there'll be a scene where they kiss."

Or, like, "Oh, this is the bad guy because he robbed a bank, but look how he threw a wad of money into that blind beggars pot on the way to the get-away-car. So he's not a completely bad guy, he'll probably be redeemed by the end of the movie. He'll probably meet a woman that changes him."

Lol
