So, lately, I've been really wanting to do a group RP. The idea that I have is that there is a couple (could be a straight or gay married couple) that wants to foster some children. The children would be between the ages of 6 and 17. Throughout this RP, the couple will be going to work and all of the children will be going to school. The school system will be the US school system.

There will be drama in this RP because, obviously, all of these children will likely be coming from bad home situations. I do not want drama or any of the children's pasts to be the main focus, though. If you're thinking of doing anything dramatic in the RP, let me know and I will tell you whether I think it's too much or not.

I'm thinking of possibly doing this RP on Discord if everybody that joins is able to go on Discord. I will admit that I do not have much experience on Discord myself so please be patient with me if it takes me a bit to figure out how to do a group chat on there.

I'm asking that responses are at least a paragraph (4-5 sentences) long. I understand if occasionally you can't think of that much to write but I would appreciate it if you tried to keep that length.

Age: 29 about to be 30

Job: Lawyer

Past: She never had a easy life, her mother gave birth to her when she was only 16 and she never met her father, her grandparents neglected her mother and since an early age it was only them against the world. However he mother loved her deeply and did everything she could to raise her up and give her a good life in return Rose studied a lot and started working from a young age to support her mother. She passed away some months ago, which is why she decided to adopted, to take care of someone the same way her mother took care of her and give them a good life.

Personality: Rose is a sweet and nice girl, she never actually gets angry and has a lot of patience, she sometimes acts really childish around children but is a responsible adult by the end of the day. The fact that she normally doesn't get angry does not mean that it'll never happen, she is after all still human and everyone has their limit.

Parent 2 - [Kovu]

Name: Kovu,
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Job: Therapist

Past: very loving father, he grew up with a good family, and good grades. But when it came to his first years in college he slacked.
He got into a lot of bad areas, but he came back finished school and got his doctorate.
He met his late wife in college when he returned to school.
She past away about 5 years ago shortly after they got married in a car accident.


Personality,
Kind, but harsh, he has a soft spot for kids, and his now wife. She can manipulate him at will.
But he’s a nice guy, for the most part, sometimes he drinks but
The worst days are when he loses a patient. He’s a good guy, and wants the best for his adopted kids.

Grade: 1st Grade
Past: Parents were neglectful of him and his twin sister so they were both taken. His sister was sent to a different foster home. He was very close to his sister so he's hesitant to interact with anybody without her.
Personality: Smart, Friendly, Likes "girly" things

Name: Aspen Larke.
Gender: Non-binary. Or, as they would say: "NO."
Age: 13.)

Past: When their parents divorced, neither was really fit to care for them and so they were put into foster care.
Personality: Snarky, energetic, anxious and yet very friendly, dramatic, imaginative, and stubborn.

Child 3 - [KatrinaPride]

Name: Ember Genesis/Alanna Cyrus
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Grade: 11
Past: Alanna always was a large sci-fi nerd, she and her mother used to watch movies all the time like star wars, MST3K, and more. But soon enough her Mother remarried, and her life became a living hell. At school, she got into playing an obscure spin-off of dungeons and dragons called Cyberpunk to cope and soon adapted the personality of her character, Ember Genesis. Her father was abusive and was the cause of her Mother leaving mysteriously one night. The neighbors had heard her screams, and the cops arrived, taking her Father away, and finding Alanna had no family to go to, put her in care of a foster home.
Personality: Alanna herself is very quiet and reserved, but her alter ego, Ember Genesis, is confident, smart and cunning. A cyber-runner known for hacking and data thievery.

Child 4 - [Darkstitchblade]

Name: Aria
Age: in the bio it says she is 18, but for this RP it'll be 17
Grade: Junior in high school
Past: He parents got divorced when she only six, and they constantly argued who would take custody of her. Things went from to worse when both parents lost their jobs and got into serious financial debt. Neither one could take care of her. And she no relatives. They had no choice but to have taken to her foster care. Where she jumped from home to home for several years, each one being worse than the last.
Personality: Sweet, stubborn and shy

Child 5 - [StaticNightmares]

Name: Sarah Neel, but can get angry if you don't call them 0-Nin-Twenty-Seven.
Gender: Female, but classifies as Non-Binary.
Age: 14.
Grade: Er..9? I think? I'm not American I apologize.
Past: They grew up in a poor ghetto town. Everyone on their street was in some way or form a criminal; recognized or not. Their parents were known for their drug deals and large supply, and were both addicted to drugs; specifically heroin. Growing up in this environment got 0927 into crime, and began following in their parents' drug addiction. They were eventually taken away, but all because they had a bad way of life doesn't mean that they went willingly, either.
Personality: they are a bad and rough kid. They put on a bad and rough persona to make people fear them. They have injection scars all over their arms circulating around the veins, and small amounts of scars from fights. They like to intimidate people despite how young they truly are, and they can sometimes seem older than their true age. Basically, the Don't screw around with me or I will fight you. type that probably smokes, punches things and likely would skip class, etc.

I don't see why 2 children can't be the same age, please explain to me.

If you would like to be a child that's the same age as another, you can. I just didn't want everybody to be close to the same age. I wanted there to be a bit of variety since everybody experiences different stuff at different ages.

I see. Can I take my cyberpunk character a modify her a little to make her younger, and maybe rather than being from the future, she just thinks she's from the future as a coping mechanism?

Maybe the parents are dead and the older siblings have to hold down the house, hehehe~

You can just change the grade for a job.

If nobody fills the job of the second parent I think my character can just be a single mom so that we don't delay the rp too much(?)
