I recall some time ago people were talking about 'doll maker' sotes to make character reference art or something like that. could someone give me some urls to some please so i could try them out?
Dolldivine.com is a GREAT site! Lots of different makers and stuff, perfect for references for characters :) Female and male characters too, so it works great!

Thanks cele-post monster. heh. I'll fight you for that title again one day!
I've often used Hero Machine, and personally favor version 3. No style variance, unfortunately, and it takes a bit of work, but it's pretty flexible.
ProFantasy Software Ltd has a character program. If you don't mind a one time payment then you are able to download a program that, from what I've seen on both descriptions and videos, gives professional looking characters. I'm actually buying their Campaign Cartographer 3 right now.
Synnove Luxford (played by Cacophony)

There are also things like the Shake Create "games" on the app store for itunes. There is a pay option or you can use the free stuff. This character uses one of the characters I created in the Princess version. There is a Chibi, anime girl, princess, fairy, super hero, anime boy and one other I think.
The one I use the most is www.dreamself.me Has a lot of options. I usually use it to get an idea for characters, and it's aaalways helped <3.
I find Tektek's super flexible with tons and tons of options.

Wow. didn't realize there were so many. thanks peoples. i will check them all out as i get a chance.
Both azaleadolls and rinmaru games have some great makers too ^^
I'm a dress-up game enthusiast, and the absolute BEST doll maker game I've come across is Kisekae 2. It lets you customize everything, and I mean literally everything (to the point where it becomes NSFW) down to the very position you want their hands to be facing. It's got 600+ hair variations and you can customize the body type, shape, height, and weight. You can make boys, girls, and hermaphrodites/nonbinary characters.
Here is the game (warning: it contains adult content. if you don't want to see it, just avoid accidentally taking off their clothes)

I'd say the ads around it are pretty NSFW too. x.x

Oh yeah, it looks like they are. That's weird, back when I used to use it a lot they were just generic anime ads o_o
I always use dolldivine or azaleasdolls. ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH DOLL MAKERS!!!!! I'm not gonna lie... I play with them between posts.
Anyone know a doll marker that would be good for trying to make a little kid ref?

Both dolldivine and azaleasdoll have chibi makers and stuff. You'd just have to look through their database.
I made my av in Rinmaru's Anime Avatar Creator, but maybe someone knows some new avatar generators that have appeared recently. I don't want to check all the apps from Rinmaru :3
