so, this place is pretty dead. (dont even try to tell me its not) just wanted to see if anywhere else is active. (not interested in discord) know a site or two?

Rp Nation has its moments.

There's RPH Chat, which is based on an old site I used to go to, but without the constant technical glitches and people who have no sense of boundaries. A few of my characters here have their RPHC profiles linked, so check it out if you're interested.

It's dead to you. Not to everyone. There is plenty of activity going on here. It may be in DM or in private groups, but this site is quite alive.

Anyway, this 'other RP sites' stuff has been covered pretty well here, here, here, and here. Anyway, if you don't like it here, there is a popular search engine that can find you other sites to check out.

I had been on one. But it's since been gone. I tried multiple times to find it and can never find the site. The first site I was on was when I branched from Yahoo! Messenger.

Sorry you haven't found a space here that suits your activity preferences. Hope you find somewhere that works better for you. RP pocket communities seem to end up popping up just about everywhere, including very unexpected places; it's just a matter of finding them and figuring out if you can actually vibe with that community.

Personally, I have yet to find one that suits me as well as RPR, and haven't felt the need to really look in years. I've occasionally peeked at suggestions made by others, but didn't see anything that felt worthwhile to me. But I certainly know that people don't all have the same preferences or concerns.

(And odd that you would bother asking for suggestions from a site you're convinced is "dead." The dead don't answer.)
