Arien drank his water. "Three would be good," he agreed. "It would keep Nex and Neo and Bella busy, for sure." As well as his brothers. He found himself wondering what their powers would be and had to shake his head. He was not going to turn out like his father.

Bella's tongue lolled out of her mouth, happy and content with Nex at her side. She wasn't afraid of anything when he was near her. She wagged her tail, whacking him softly on the rump as she did so.

Nx jumped in surprise when Bella's tail thumped against him. Then he purred and licked Bella's ear. They got back a little later and Nex went directly into the house, staying with Bella. It was far too cold to stay outside.

Red smiled and nodded. "Three it is then," she said happily. Crawling over to Arien, she sat next to him and leaned into him.

Arien wrapped his arms around Red, holding her close to his chest. He felt good, solid, whole. His gaze drifted to the ring around her finger and he smiled. He was happy.

"And look, the prodigal pets doth return home at last," he murmured when he saw Bella and Nex enter the house. "Where have you two been?" he asked the wolf and tiger.

Bella returned the lick with one of her own, and flicked her ears in a wolf laugh.

Nex flicked his ears embarrasedly seeing as though she was amused. Then he looked over at Arien and walked over to the fire.
"Oh you know. Couple stuff," he replied and layed by the fire.
Motioning for Bella to join him, he moved over and gave her some space.

Red softly laughed at Arien when he spoke that way. Watching Nex and Bella, she suspected something was up but didnt contradict him when he said that.

Bella made a detour long enough to come over to say hi to Arien and Red, giving them a quick sniff, before flopping down beside Nex.

Arien shook his head and rolled his eyes. "You do realize you're different species, right? Still, I'm glad you two are getting along. I was worried she'd never be able to get along with other animals--wild or not."

Nex purred and started grooming Bella gently. Neo licked Red's cheek as he passed then flopped down next to the two love birds.

Red elbowed Arien's stomach but not too hard. "Dont tell them that! You'll discourage them!" she whispered.

Arien chuckled. "Nah, that won't discourage them." He watched Nex grooming Bella and shook his head. The animal world was so different from humans. He tried to imagine Nex proposing and could only snort.

Bella stretched so that she could be touching both tigers, and then leaned happily into Nex's grooming. She'd never been cleaner.

Red looked up at him when he snorted. "What?" she asked.

Nex kept grooming until she was shiny and clean. Then he put his head on her side and closed his eyes. Flicking his tail onto Neo's side, he glanced at his brother asking him how his mission went. Neo flicked his ears to say it went fine then fell asleep.

((If you've ever seen Lion King 1 and a 1/2 -- the scene where Timon proposes to the hyena--that's what I'm envisioning for Nex's proposal to Bella.))

Arien shook his head. "Just imagining Nex proposing to Bella," he said and snickered.

Bella gave a short lick to Nex's muzzle before laying back with a sigh. She was comfortable.

Red softly laughed at the thought, drawing attention over to her from Nex. "Arien was thinking about you proposing to Bella," she thought to him.
Nex flattened his ears to his head and narrowed his eyes at Arien.
"And why exactly is that funny?" he thought back.
Red smiled and motioned for him to calm down.
"Come on now Nex you have to admit its a little funny," she thought back.
Nex relaxed a bit more then rolled his eyes.

Arien still snickered, even when faced with the prospect of an unhappy tiger. "Bella's reaction might be amusing, too."

Feeling Nex's irritation, Bella lifted her head to see what was going on. Not seeing anything to be worried about and not understanding much of what was being said, she gave him a calming, reassuring nuzzle.

Red smiled and looked up at Arien. "How do you think she would react?" she asked quietly.

Nex relaxed and purred then licked Bella's ear. Looking over at Arien, he flicked his ears then payed attention on Bella again.
"Bella?" Nex thought asking for her attention.

Arien grinned. "She's probably get all confused and think he meant to play--depending on how he proposed."

Bella flicked her ear at the lick and then turned to look fleetingly at Nex. She never looked anything in the eyes for too long, knowing her unusual ability to make people and other animals stop in their tracks when she did.

Nex hesitated for a second and sighed. "Do you wanna be my mate..as in lifelong mate?" he thought to her.

Red smiled and looked over at Nex feeling his nervousness.
"I think he just did," she told Arien.
Waiting for Bella's reaction, she found herself getting nervous too.

Bella cocked her head to the side, looking at Nex for a long moment. And then she wagged her tail and pounced on him, giving him a slobbery lick down the length of his muzzle.

Arien laughed. "I think that's her answer. I'd say it's probably a yes."

Red smiled and laughed softly at Bella's reaction. But then again she had probably done that except in a more human manner.

Nex relaxed and purred so loud it filled the whole house. Putting his paws around her neck, he licked her muzzle back a couple of times.

Arien laughed. "Well, I guess that answers our questions. Good girl, Bella!"

Bella whined happily and then extracted herself long enough from Nex's paws to run over and circle happily around Arien and Red before returning back to Nex's side.

Red smiled and as Bella pranced around them and felt happiness like never before, radiating from Nex. Looking up at Arien, she kissed his cheek then started to get up.
"Well now that you two are finally together officially, im going to bed. You coming Arien?" she asked.

Nex purred and started grooming Bella again.

Arien jumped to his feet. "I'm coming." He winked at Nex as he passed the tiger and followed Red to the bedroom.

Bella returned the favor, grooming where she could reach as Nex groomed her again.

Red saw his wink and waited till they were laid in bed to ask. "Ok what was the wink for?" she asked with a smile.

Nex purred and groomed Bella thoroughly. "So you wanna have puppies?" Nex asked quietly and curiously.
