The girl let out a shriek in surprise, but giggling more and more. "H-HEY! GET THE- hehehe! - DOG OFF OF - that tickles STOP! - ME!" Aza started laughing and laughing, almost falling to the floor. "Hey, hey, come on. Haha, I gotta get this done with every other 9 to 10 year old girl here, so might as well get this done already!" the pink haired girl chuckled, as the 9 year old giggled.

Kia kept licking as the girl giggled, then after a moment put her front feet back on the floor and nudged the nine year old wither her nose towards Aza. She wagged her tail from side to side happily and circled around the girl once and nudged her onward towards the table and Aza.

She then moved to the side and sat down, tail still flopping against the floor as she sat and watched.

"Well, that was fun, wasn't it?" Aza asked, putting on some rubber gloves. She only slipped on the left already, "are you ready for the examination? You know how it is being a young girl, at this age, in this time?"

"..." the girl stared as Aza chuckled, pulling on the glove on her right, really slowly and then pulling the rubber back only to let go. SLAP!! the girl flinched.

Aza then laughed. The girl whimpered only for Aza to giggle. "Oooh, calm down. I'm not going to be doing anything scary just uncomfortable"

"eehhh..."

"Seriously, just calm down." she then sat next to the girl on the examination table, looking at Kai with a grin before she focused on the child. She then told the girl to lay down and began a more mature examination, ya know, the normal examination that a doctor would have with a girl at/around the age where puberty really seems to start. Aza, deep inside, just hoped this wouldn't get awkward. Or as awkward as this can already get.

Kai looked back and forth between the two for a moment. She wanted to whimper only slightly when the girl squealed, but Valen assured her that Aza wasn't going to hurt the girl. She stepped in place with her paws for a moment then hurried over to the edge of the examination table. She nuzzled her nose up under the young girls arm, licking at her hand.

The girl shivered as Aza sighed. She took off the gloves and tossed them in the trash. "Alright, perfect growth and you've already gotten hips!" Aza said and smiled, before frowning and muttering "lucky"

"W-what?"

"Nothing of your concern! Let's get you weighed and measured."

"O-okay..." the girl pet Kai as she sat up, she shivered lightly before getting off of the examination table, she fixed the shirt she wore. Soon enough, she was out the door quickly.

The process was repeated after 4 girls from age 9 to 10 came in. Afterwards were 2 boys. She weighed, measured, etc. and the boys were quickly out. Aza groaned and sat down on the floor, lying down in exhaustion.

Kai continued to help in whatever ways she could. Child after child she would approach as she saw their personality was accepting to her presence. Finally it looked like they might be done. She wasn't sure but Aza looked like she wanted to be done if she wasn't.

Kai walked over to Aza with her mouth open, panting, the tip of her tongue hanging just over her front teeth. She licked Aza's hand and sat beside her, laying her chin on Aza's lap. She looked up at the young girl with kind eyes.

"Welp...we're done...yayy..." Aza sighed, "and I learned an amazing fact today" she looked at Kai with a smile. "You wanna know what I learned?"

Kai looked up at Aza and wagged her tail, panting a little more excitedly as she waited for the answer. She gave a small bark, not too loud, though.

Aza chuckled, before frowning and taking a deep breath. "9 and 10 year olds look more mature than me!!" she whined, pouting.

Kai just cocked her head to one side and looked at Aza with a slight groan as she lifted her ears. Then she jumped up on her lap with her front legs and licked her in the face. She stopped after a few licks and panted, her warm breath blowing right in Aza's face as she looked at her with a happy and playful expression.

Aza let out giggled, "alright, alright. It's true though. I'm tiny...and look like a 5 year old..." she stared at Kai happily. "Let's go down and check in with Lily. She might be really bored and waiting for us." she pet Kai with a smile.

Kai jumped off her lap and circled around her chair playfully nudging her hand with her nose as she made her final lap. She then moved towards the door and headed back the way they had come. As she walked past the kids she had to resist the urge to run over to them all and start playing or licking them in the face. She always loved kids.

Instead she went ahead and trotted over to the door that lead to the hallway that went back to the room where Lily would be working.

Aza quickly walked alongside Kai with a smile. The petite girl walked over to the counter to see Lily laying on it, a book on her face. "Did she...again!?" she stared with her eyebrows furrowed. Aza then ran up and slapped the book off of her sister's face.

"E-eh-?" Lily muttered, opening violet eyes, staring at cyan ones. She yelped in surprise before accidentally rolling and falling off of the counter. She groaned in pain when she landed, as there was a loud thud heard. Aza covered her mouth, refusing to laugh as she stared at the teen. She snickered.

"Oops..."

Kai trotted down the hall beside Aza and jumped up with her front feet on the counter as Aza approached Lily. She sniffed at the young girl, then jumped down as the scene unfolded. When Lily hit the floor she ran around and stuck her nose right in Lily's face and licked her forehead.

Lily groaned in pain, looking at Kai with confusion on her face. "O-ow...what the...why is there a dog...sshh.." she bit her lip to prevent any slip ups. She sat up, "Aza Jameson!"

"Yes, Lily Jameson?" Aza grinned as she earned a glare. "Alright, sorry! Didn't mean to, honestly. You okay? Need any medicine or...can you use a spell?"

Lily sighed, her fingertips glowing white as she tapped where she had landed only twice. "Yeah, got a spell for it. I'mma still be sore later. So how'd the check-ups go?"

"It was amazingly swell..." she smiled.

Valen had not even given much thought to the fact that Lily had not seen him in his golden retriever form. Kai walked back over to the other side of the desk and shifted back into Valen. Valen smiled and waved to Lily.

"I figured the kids would like a dog better than a socially awkward teenager helping with their check ups."

"Oh, that's a great idea. That's how it went by so quickly! You should come help out with check-ups!" she spoke up, "The dog's quite a cutie, too." she admitted childishly, standing up and stretching, pulling her left arm until she heard a satisfying pop.

Valen smiled. "She was my pet when I was back... in my old home. She got sick and died, though." He hung his head. It still saddened him. He was glad he was able to save the dog but now the two of them could never run and play together. They could both be, but never together. "I was able to save her, though. She's a good dog and has always liked people and especially kids."

Lily frowned, letting out a soft 'awwww' and apologized quietly as she stared at him, violet eyes full of sympathy.

"It's ok," he said with a half smile. "Things are going to start getting better now that I am here and I didn't loose Kai completely."

He looked over at Aza and then back to Lily.

"You guys are the closest things to friends I've ever had... you've treated me well since I've been here. Thank you."
