The girl's left ear twitched, "Alright, we'll bring it to your usual seat?" she asked Lily, cocking her head to the side. Lily simply nodded, humming happily before leading Valen to a booth. The booth had comfy, soft seats and the table was the same shade as all of the others. She slid in the right side and sighed, leaning into the seat.
"Thanks," Valen told the girl that took his order. Then he turned to follow Lily to the booth. He let her sit down first and slid in the opposite booth across from her. The seats were very comfortable for most places he had been in.
"You come here often, then?" He asked Lily, trying to think of something to start conversation.
"You come here often, then?" He asked Lily, trying to think of something to start conversation.
"Yep." she said, popping the P. "When I first came here at the age of 8 I came here so many times. It got to the point that everyone knows what I get here and stuff, my favorite sweets and teas..." she giggled, "that dog-hybrid girl? She's been serving me from the first day I stepped in here."
"You were eight when you first came here?" Valen asked. "Wow, so you have been here a while. How old are you? How did you find your way here?"
"I'm 15 years old." She said confidently, "And the story of me coming here is simple. I was a lost, orphaned child who was found by my master. My master was my father and teacher, he taught me all of the knowledge of being a great cleric." Lily smiled, leaning against the table. "But, he didn't teach me and take me under his wing until I was 9, he found me trying to use my magic on a dead bird. Before all of that I was just an orphan living in the clinic."
"Where is your master bow?" Valen asked her. "He must be a great teacher, you really seem to know your stuff."
"Ahhh, he's..." Lily chuckled nervously. "Master left on a trip to another village far away, because there was an epidemic there that involved his strong healing magic to get rid of. He's still there, but he sends letters so I know he's alive and kickin'...like usual."
"I see," Valen said. "So you kind of took over the clinic here when he left?"
Soon the food was ready and brought to their table. Valen gladly accepted the food, saying a "Thank you," to the one who brought it.

Lily nodded, before taking a quick bite of the sweet treat. It was a devil's food cake, with chocolate icing and a vanilla syrup drizzled on top and even a strawberry. She hummed happily as her eyes turned into stars and sparkled. That was always her reaction, and she didn't pay attention to the light pink blush that dusted her pale features, after all, it was normal for her to blush like this when eating sweet bliss on a platter.
Valen took his spoon and tasted the ice cream. It was amazing! Even if he had been a year or more since his last bite, he could promise this was the best ice cream he had ever had! He took a bite of the muffin and it was just as good.
He wondered how they made their treats taste so good.
He continued eating. A bite of ice cream, a bite of muffin. It was so good he thought he might ask for seconds. As he grew closer to being finished, however, it became clear that after he was done he wasn't going to have room for anything else.

"It's the best, right?" she asked in between bites, violet eyes staring at Valen as she giggled. For some reason, she really wanted to just...get a pure laugh out of him...but she didn't know how, and so as she ate happily she tried to think of what would amuse him...
Valen looked up at Lily as she spoke. He nodded, a bite being in his mouth at the time. He chewed and swallowed. "It really is!" He exclaimed. "I've never had anything this good."
He took another bite, looking up at Lily's eyes as she looked at him. He smiled at her violet eyes. He had always liked the color.

"Haha, maybe we should both hang out here again...or it could become our hangout spot!" Lily smiled, "honestly, I've always wanted to have one of those, a place to hang out with my friends." she took a bite, and looked down at the plate to see only two bites and the strawberry left. Her eyes started to just shimmer, as she took another bite.
Valen smiled a little wider. "I'd like that," he admited. "I've never really had froends to hang out with. I'd really like to hang out here more often with you."
He too took another bite, grinning at Lily's eyes. He too, was nearly out of food. He didn't worry, though. He was full and knew he could come back and get more any time he wanted.

(THIS IS THE CUTEST THING)
She had quickly eaten the last of her cake, but she slowed down with eating that strawberry, she always liked eating the strawberry last. She then leaned back as she ran a hand through her lavender dyed hair, brushing a few strands over her ears to show her 4 piercings, which also included a small gauge, which was a see-through gauge. She looked at the empty plate with her eyes still shimmering.

( lol I'm glad your enjoying it. I'm having fun with Valen's character. It's different than my usual.
)
Valen finished his food shortly after Lily. "If I wasn't full, I'd get another."
He lounged back into the corner of the booth, his back against the wall and his feet up on the seat. He glanced over at Lily, wondering. "So, are you human and your eyes and finger tips glowing are just from the magic you have learned or are you something more than human?"

"uh...to be honest?" She looked at him, "I actually don't know what I am" she spoke genuinely, the shimmer in her eyes dulling. "My master would be able to answer the question of what I am if he was here, because he's the only one that can read my aura..." Lily said with a small frown. "I've believed that it's just my magic but I'm actually not sure anymore"
"Oh," Valen said simply. "Well... Whatever you are, I like it." He smiled. "I didn't know there was anyone out there like you... Or most of the species here for that matter."
He looked around at all the different inhabitants.

Lily's eyes widened, and a blush formed on her cheeks as her eyes started intensely shining and twinkling. She sucked in a deep breath of air as she suppressed a bunch of crazy giggles and a squeal. Or at least tried to.
She didn't even know someone could actually be able to say such words. She knew when she got home she'd have to scream into a pillow...but for now she tried resisting the urge to pounce on and hug this boy.

Valen laughed at her reaction and blushed a bit himself. It was the most of a real laugh he had let out since.... Well, he didn't know when.
He tried not to think about everyone else around... That would just make him freeze up. He was glad, though, that it seemed a lot easier to be himself with Lily than with most people he had been around.
