Kate had a grim smile, "Unfortunately, our ways are little better. We'll start gently; try simply questioning it, maybe try some truth serum... but I'm pretty sure vampires are immune to that anyway. Then... well... We'll have to start a few of the more... unpleasant methods. If worse comes to worse, we could try and requisition an Aetherian from Central Command and get them to rip the information out of the creature, but since Aetherians are very rare, I'm not sure if Dawn can convince Central to send one out to us, and it'd take a while anyway, since Central Command is located on the other side of the world."
Alice nodded listening quietly as she shifted slightly and held her side her ribs still hurting her body trying to heal it though a few wouldn't heal right while broken. It was painful, but she pushed through it and looked on ahead as Kate finished. It was an interesting way to get the information out of him and it may work. She was just worried about the master and how close he may truly be to them. Something else that concerned her was how old he truly was. If he was old old then even she would have problems not trying to be controlled by him. Even if she was created to stand against them her wolf was still a beast and they could roll her and make her do what they want. That she didn't want so she was hoping the vampire would know the true age of this vampire. Alice shifted again getting uncomfortable fast as she wondered how far they were from this place.

They drove on in silence for a few more minutes, until Kate turned off of the ain road and onto a gravel path which wound through thick woodland on that side of the road, she followed the path until the woods ended and an old English manor house came into view, surrounded by well-tended lawns, "That's The Hub." Kate said, "We live and work in the house, but most of our facilities are actually located beneath it, under ground."

Kate stopped the car in front of the manor and got out, walking over to the boot, she opened it, "All right you." She said, "Time to get you talking." With that, she hauled the vampire out of the car by his chains. The vampire looked drained, tired, as if he were ill or had spent weeks without sleep. Obviously the chains were having an adverse effect on him.

The doors of the manor opened and the auburn haired Irish girl that had called them in the car stepped out, wearing a t-shirt and jeans, she hurried down the steps and gave the vampire little more than a cursory glance, "Bring him in. Tech's already prepping the interrogation room."
Alice noted as they drove on a gravel path that was a branch off the road they had been following. Looking at the trees around them she shifted as they finally came into view of a house and soon enough stopped. Hearing about the house and it's information she noted it away and looked it over as Kate got out to get the vampire. Getting out herself she leaned back against the car holding her side as she looked at the vampire seeing how he looked like he was not there before an Irish girl from the tv came out and went over to them. Staying weary she watched them all wondering still how a horde of vampires hadn't killed them yet.

Kate nodded, bringing the vampire up the steps. Dawn spoke into a bracelet around her wrist, "Mainframe, activate Hub interior defense systems." She glanced over at Alice, "Exclusion parameters to include Dire Wolves." There was a soft chime from her bracelet and se nodded, "There." She eyed the vampire, "If you try to escape, or hurt anyone, you'll be ash before you can say 'sunrise'."

The vampire bared its teeth, hissing weakly, "Master will make you pat for this human. Master will make your death long and slow... we will feed from you until there isn't a drop left in your body."

Dawn smiled, "Threat noted." The vampire snarled at her, but it was dragged away by Kate and taken into the house, Dawn turned to Alice, "So, you're the Dire Wolf, hm? Come on, I'll take you to the infirmary."
Alice watched the vampire quietly and watched the two females keeping to herself. She watched the one called Dawn speak into a bracelet and as she said dire-wolves she noted how it let out a soft chime and then she was talking to the vampire. His threat didn't seem to matter to her, but Alice kept it in her mind as it was taken away by Kate leaving her alone with the Dawn woman. Seeing her turn to her she made the comment about her being a Dire Wolf and for a moment she felt the hair on the back of her neck rise, but she pushed those feelings away not understanding humans. Nodding she followed not really wanting to talk to this woman till she understood her better.

Dawn led Alice into the house, the entrance hall was large, spacious, and it was dominated by a wide, sweeping staircase. Lacquered wooden doors branched off from it in several place, and the decor was elegant, almost as if the house's current occupants hadn't changed a single thing since the original owners had left, it had obviously been the country home of some wealthy lord or other person of high station in the past.

The auburn-hired Irish teen led Alice through a side-door and through a smaller corridor until they came to yet another door, she opened it and came into another large room, this one almost glaringly modern and home to several beds and medical equipment. It looked as if someone had picked up a hospital ward and randomly dumped it inside the old manor, "This is the infirmary." Dawn said, "We've got all the stuff we need to patch you up." Dawn gave Alice a friendly smile and indicated a bed, "Sit on there and I'll go find some bandages and things."
Alice followed the young woman and noted the way back out as she followed her so if she needed to get away she could. Her wolf was always a plus as well to turn into, but she didn't like shifting in front of others and she didn't like many to actually see her wolf if she could help it. The wolf was her more then the human form she wore, but at the same time it was also a beast and even if she could act human the beast was always there under her skin prowling. Many couldn't accept that so she kept it to herself though at times her wolf would come out and show itself, but that was only around those she trusted and at the moment she didn't trust anyone here, being taught when she was younger that human were a being to be wary of.

As she was led to another door and eventually she entered a room smelling of medicine and lots of metal as well as other scents she couldn't place. Wary she walked in and looked to the younger woman as she spoke nodding slightly though she could fell herself tense. Noting how she said bandages she sat down and the bed closest to the door and wondered what these other things she mentioned would turn out to be. If this human couldn't help her then she would let her help and later go out in the woods to help the healing process and hopefully fix her ribs right. Breathing was painful and if she had to shift she knew that too would be painful. Hating feeling weak she sat there quietly and waited letting her wolf come closer for comfort as well as protection since the human form seemed to be so frail.

Dawn gathered some bandages, some pain-killers and other pieces of medical equipment and put them on the bed next to Alice, Dawn frowned slightly, "Right, well, first I need to find out which ribs are broken, where does it hurt?" She asked, simultaneously reaching for a small bottle and a syringe, "I'll inject you with something to take the edge off of the pain when I set your ribs." She tapped the syringe and made sure there were no air bubbles in it as she pierced the bottle and drew out a small amount of clear liquid.
Alice shifted as the young woman came back carrying a few items that she put down on the bed beside her. Looking over at it she looked back to the young woman as she spoke and playing with a needle type object. Thinking it over she looked to the younger woman. "Some of the lower ones feel worse then the others." She commented still wary of the object she held in her hand that seemed to be taking in some type of liquid that should help her with the pain. Though pain wasn't her worry it was more of this place with it being full of so many strangers.

Dawn frowned slightly, "Well, they're nowhere near your heart or lungs, at least, but still too close to the diaphragm for my comfort. Hold out your arm so I can inject this into you." She tried to give her a reassuring smile, "I've had a bit of medical training, like anyone who went through The Academy. You're in safe hands here." She nodded towards the bandages lying next to Alice, "Once I've taken care of the pain and examined you ribs, I'll try and set them and then I'll bandage your chest to restrict the movement of your ribs a bit, it might be uncomfortable, but if your ribs move too much they won't heal right, or worse they might break away entirely and puncture something."
Alice listened to the younger girl and nodded as she held her arm out taking in what she said carefully. They would heal faster then a humans would, but moving to much in human form could cause them to break again like she said and she didn't feel like having her death because a vampire got a lucky shot. Sighing she knew this was going to be fun and relaxed knowing it would be over soon enough.

Dawn nodded and inserted the syringe into Alice's arm, depressing the end so that the clear fluid entered her bloodstream. Once it was empty she took it out and dabbed at Alice's arm with some disinfectant, "You should start feeling a little numb soon, you might also experience some dizziness, but don't worry, that's perfectly normal."

Now that the painkiller was in Alice's system, Dawn lifted up Alice's shirt so she could reach her lower ribs and probed them gently, carefully feeling her sides and chest, "Hm, the breaks seems clean enough... I'm going to set the bones, even with the painkillers this might hurt a bit, so sorry in advance." She smiled again and felt around for the bone again, she then pushed against Alice's lower two ribs on her right side, first one then the other, as she slowly pushed the back into their proper places, she then repeated the procedure with the ribs on her left side. Once the ribs were set she nodded, "Good. Now I just need to bind your chest so they don't move out of position again." Dawn grabbed some of the bandages and stated wrapping them around Alice's lower chest a few times before tying them firmly.

The auburn-haired Irish girl stepped back and nodded again, "There, that's the best I can do on short notice. Try not to move your chest too much, don't do any lifting or tenuous activities and avoid fighting anything until they've fully healed." Her tone was one of authority, as if she were used to people following her orders, but there was an almost nurse-like undercurrent to it.

((So sorry for the long wait; university work caught up with me, and then I totally forgot about this RP! Won't happen again!))
Alice listened and nodded as she watched the syringe go into her arm and waited as she did begin to feel the numbing effect taking place and she did begin to feel a little light headed though she shook it off and sat patiently letting her feel her ribs and as the woman spoke some more she nodded and prepared to herself figuring it wouldn't be that bad. Feeling her begin to work she winced a few times, but other than that it didn't bother her much her pain tolerance high due to all the training she had to go through when she was a pup.

Feeling the bandage begin to wrap around her chest she watched the woman and nodded knowing it would be bad to mess them up again. Smiling at the younger woman. "Thank you." She said softly as she yawned slightly and then glanced around slightly still interested, but worried about this place since the master vampire seemed pretty determined, but why was what she was curious about.

((It's alright I know how that is. I am going to be doing a lot of work this semester in college. :) Glad your back though.))

Dawn nodded, "That's the best I can do for you so far. I've already reported the capture of the vampire to Central Command, and they're sending over a Knight Medic and an extra Knight Guardian as a precaution. when they arrive the medic might want to give your injuries a look over, and maybe they can do a better job than I have."

The auburn-haired girl turned away from Alice, heading towards the door, "There're a few guest rooms free upstairs, pick any you like if you're sticking around. I'm going to go and check on our prisoner. He's in the holding cells underground at the moment. His room's rigged with UV lamps, set for a two-second burst if he tries to escape. Not quite enough to ash him, but certainly enough to make him think twice about trying to get free again. Having your entire body set on fire is an unpleasant experience, or so I hear."
Alice nodded as she listened curious about these Knight humans. Deciding to stick around she smiled as the younger girl headed to the doors and spoke about the prisoner. "Thank you and it is an unpleasant experience." She replied as she watched her go before standing up and heading to the door herself. Alice sniffed the air softly just to check as she headed for the stairs she saw earlier back in the main entrance knowing her way back easily by both her scent and memory. Going to the main entrance she glanced up the stairs, but decided to go back outside to be in the fresh air and to stretch. Slipping out quietly she felt the temptation to switch forms, but then she thought of the bandages and her ribs even though shifting would help to heal them further, but the reconstructing of her human form to her wolf form may mess them up so she stayed a human and sat on the steps to look up at the sky wondering what the master vampire had in mind now.

Eventually, the dark-haired Paladin, Jerian, appeared in the doorway, he stepped out of the old manor and glanced around, spotting Alice he smiled and nodded to her in greeting, "Hello again." He leant against the door-frame, "Came out here for some fresh air. I've got a feeling that vamp will be a stubborn nut to crack, and Dawn's a bit too good at cracking nuts." He chuckled, "It helps that she's a Fire Adept. The threat of getting roasted tends to loosen tongues."
Alice heard the door open and could smell the human male from earlier before he spoke. Hearing him speak she turned slightly to look at him and studied him thinking about the conversation in the car earlier wondering about it. "Yes, hello." She replied to his greeting and smiled as she continued to watch him as he spoke again. "Vampire's are always stubborn to crack and if his master is as strong as I am thinking then he may be able to render your captured vampire useless." Alice replied a little concern in her voice not sure if she wanted her thoughts to be correct. "Though what is exactly a Fire Adept?" She asked curiously not understanding the term and the confusion now showed on her face. Alice could mask her expressions and not reveal anything, but at the moment she didn't want to be threatening to these people or did she have any reason to mask her expressions at the time. Plus it seemed humans expressed their emotions though their body language and facial expressions so others would understand the emotion they had. Looking to the dark haired male she waited patiently having plenty of it.

Jerian smiled, "Fire Adept? Oh, well... it's a person who specialises in fire magic. In The Society a person gains specialisations as they rise through the ranks, so that as they grow in power and importance their skills are concentrated and focused upon a specific set of skills and tasks. You start off as an Initiate, someone who knows about the supernatural or magic or possessing an awakened psychic talent, then you become a Neophyte, a first-season trainee at The Academy, once you complete your Neophyte studies you become a Squire, spending half your time studying in The Academy and half your time training under various Knights in field work, upon completing your Squire training you are elevated to the rank of Junior Knight, a full-fledged member of The Society." He grinned, "Knights are the ones who work on the front lines, there are three grades; Junior, Senior and Elite. After you gain enough experience and you reach Senior grade you get to pick your first specialisation, such as healing, becoming a Medic, warding and shielding as a Guardian, offensive magic like me, a Paladin, and other things. At this level you learn more advanced magic in your chosen field rather than the basic spells of a squire or Junior Knight. You're only named an Adept when you reach Elite status, but there aren't as many of them as other grades. Elites are the best we've got, and in addition to their specialisation as a Paladin, Guardian or whatever they learn advanced magic; elemental magic, but normally only of one type, therefore becoming an Adept of that element."

Jerian paused for a moment, "So, that's what an Adept is; the last stage in a long processes of refining your skills and magic. I am an Elite Knight Paladin, Adept of Air, this means I am a specialist in tracking and killing supernatural creatures and offensive magic, particularly spells involving air, it also means I am a very powerful and well-known member of The Society, though I must admit I'm very young to have reached this high a rank, hell, everyone in Cell Theta is young to reach their particular ranks, but then Cell Theta isn't a typical Cell."

Jerian's expression turned grim, "I know I'm not much to loom at, Alice, but you should know that appearances are deceptive. I didn't become the youngest person ever named an Elite Knight just because of my charm and good looks. The only humans in the world that exceed Elite Knights in magical power and knowledge are the Aetherians; rare individuals, blessed with extremely powerful magic, more so than most humans ever see. Not as powerful as some of the higher supernatural creatures, but strong enough, strong enough that if the Four Horsemen themselves charged an Aetherian of full power and training then they would be slowed. The Destroyers of the World who would ride over nations as if they were nought but barren earth, any other human would be obliterated. At present there are only five Aetherians living in the entire world."
Alice listened as she watched him taking in everything he said and making sure to remember it since she needed to learn more about this place and it's people as well as more about humans since she had stayed hidden in a forest for to long unsure of the human race and what she should do. Continuing to listen she watched as his expression went grim and he started talking about rare individuals and as he spoke she understood that he was one of these individuals. Remembering that too she made sure that she would never be on the opposite side of him since she probably wasn't strong enough to take someone like his on. She was born and trained to kill vampires and stand on the same ground with them. He was still a human in a sense by the way he explained it and she was sworn to never kill a human or be considered a lone wolf the rest of her life. "I know appearances can be deceptive, I have learned that lesson a long time ago and I don't plan to mistake it again." She commented as she continued to watch him thinking over her thoughts as she thought back to her old pack the need for them strong, but they were long gone and she never sought out another pack to join. Her wolf though needed a pack and she could feel the years of not having a pack beginning to take it's toll on her real self, the touch of her family long gone. Wolves needed touch and being a lone wolf would eventually led to her death.

"Your not a being though that I would ever go against. I was built, born, and trained to kill vampires and keep them in check as they do the same with us. This is the role I was given in my world and I plan to keep this master vampire in check." She stated her wolf snarling at the thought of the master vampire, though her human self was worried and not sure how well she would stand against one. Usually master vampires were taken down by at least 2 to 3 dire-wolves, but it was just her and no other packs were in this area. The need to train was there, but her ribs were a hindrance and as she shifted she felt the soreness still there and hated it. "Plus if your adept to killing super naturals then it's good to know that if something were to happen at least you would be able to kill me." She said knowing dire-wolves who had been taken over by a master and she didn't want to be like that, but at least she could feel a little better knowing there was someone like him and possibly more to stop her.

((Hows school??))
