Demetrius began to pull the chains together so their gaps aligned, Alicia began to shove all her metal arrows through the gap. She dug them into the ground so they'd stick.

Aya didn't know what happened she was bleeding that was for sure. she was in pain as well the corrupted must have gotten a good swipe at her left arm. her training staff had snapped the splinters dug into her hand she was looking up at the corrupted but it wasn't there did it move on? where did go? it wasn't until she tried to move that she realized she was on the ground. she struggled to her feet looking around for her team, the corrupted, anything. the more she looked she noticed the black body of the corrupted lying on the ground. unsure if it was still alive she stumbled back her good hand going up to her mouth "o-oh...oh god..."

And then she saw the Corrupted’s body. She watched as the Corrupted lifted it’s head up at Aya. And it reached out with it’s DIRTY, FLITHY-
She didn’t realize she ran to Aya and had clutched her close to her chest shaking.
The Corrupted attempted to crawl to them, but couldn’t move an inch thanks to the interlock.
Demetrius ran towards them. “Aya! You’re hurt!”

Aya didn't realize that she was shaking until Alicia grabbed onto her steading aya with her shaking body. “I’ll escort you to the infirmary.” Demetrius said.
“What?! No way keep your hands off her-“
“Alicia,” he spoke gently to as the girl glared at him, still shaken. “Everything is going to be okay. You’re in no condition to escort her. Relax, I’ll report back to you okay?”
Alicia saw her shaking hands and gritted her teeth as she stormed off, ashamed.
“....I...guess we better get going.” Demetrius smiled sheepishly, not too disturbed by the blood and growling Corrupted. He offered his hand to Aya but hesitated a little.

Aya looks at his hand before grabbing it firmly "...thanks I guess I made a real fool of myself right?" she laughs softly as she starts to follow Demetrius to the infirmary but quickly stops him "I'm sorry I was being so cold to you earlier...I thought you would try to take all the glory from this hunt and mess it up but I guess I ended up doing that...sorry" she continues to walk in the direction he was leading her in before.
Demetrius looked surprised at Aya’s comment. “On the contrary, I believe you did wonderfully in the simulation considering it was your first time. Most freeze up in fear but you went after the beast and protected Alicia well.”
When Demetrius was stopped he stared surprised at her view of him. “You didn’t mess up, in the end we achieved our goal. Not in the way I would’ve liked but we did it nonetheless. ...Why do you have such an ill-opinion of me if I may ask.”

"usually people who are deemed 'prodigies' are egotistical and are just generally horrible to be around-" Aya looks at Demetrius "-and the way you tried to protect Alicia tells me that you might not be like that" Aya stands up after the nurse finishes bandaging her and thanks her. She sticks her hand out for Demetrius to shake.
"We got off on the wrong foot earlier...I hope we can overcome my mistake, both of your personality and the mistakes I made during the hunt and can proceed as equals in the future" Aya's serious face comes back but there's a small smile on her face now.
Demetrius stared at Aya as she explained. “...You’re..not wrong about that. I, personally, don’t see myself as a prodigy of any sort. But other people’s view of me is much different because of my unusual behavior I guess.” He wasn’t surprised, there have been rumors circulating around him ever since he arrived.
He could think of a couple of incidents where he seemed egotistical.
He shook Aya’s hand, “I’m estatic to be your equal. I hope I can learn to better interact with my peers and change their view of me.”

Aya Is shocked did Alicia really think she was going to die "I'm no superhero but I'm not that easy to take down" Aya had to admit it to herself she thought she was a goner for a second there too. but she couldn't let Ali see that. She lifts her bandaged arm to show Alicia
"It's not that bad...see it'll be healed in no time" Aya paused for a second " you know what I think the three of us make a pretty good team, we just need to work on communicating a little better"

Aya was dumbfounded for a moment what happened between them? she was going to say something but as the instructors called everyone She knew they would have to talk later...Aya couldn't help but feel as though she caused this fight. Demetrius looked so concerned but they couldn't talk now.
"can you two be professional for the rest of the day?-" She paused "-Alicia we're going to talk about this later okay...just you and me" Aya doesn't wait for a response from either of them she just walks to where the instructors are having them line up the concern breaking through the mask of calm she's trying to present
