Ember would seem agitated but understanding "They can be.... Dreams of falling and burning throat are syntoms, we think it could be linked to some form of Psionic power..." Ember would lean on a wall, looking around for any potential Eavesdroppers "Some darkwolves believe in a lifeforce, Some form of energy that tries to communicate with us... These are only rumors, but we think that the drug could somehow open your mind to these Psionic fields, thus causing visions" Ember would look towards the stars, dazed "There's no way there isn't some grand creator of things... We just don't know who they are..." Ember would press his paw to the metallic wall "Side effects shouldn't last more than a day at maximum, if they last longer than that, come see me" Ember would grab a cup of water, handing it to her "Drink, cold water helps"

She began to drink it. ``There was this woman in the dreams... she seemed.... familiar`` she said with a sigh. ``So what are those blue lines all over your body anyways? I've been looking about it since I first saw you`` she said as she looked at him up and down. She leaned in and whispered ``Also I think Zaide was trying to hit on me`` she said. ``I don't think he knows I'm fifteen years older than him``

ORIN - When he opened his eyes again, he sat next to his brother on an uncomfortable metal chair, accidentally leaning on Zaide's sturdy shoulder. But his bro didn't seem to care much, as he pulled out his Comm. and stared at the screen. Suddenly, the new girl's voice came from the activated speaker, mentioning a club she invited to meet her after the medical checkup. Orin felt how his brother's helmeted head made a slow nodding gesture.
"Sure," his low voice rumbled kind of cheery, "We'll meet you there." A second later, the signal died and in the blurry distance, the blonde canine saw his Commander and the new gal exchange a few words before disappearing into one of the many rooms that the massive battleship had, not even dismissing them. Oh wait, he did. Yet the only word he understood was Altoria, nothing more. Althoria.. so they really were heading beyond the borders then?
"Looks like they're having a date," Zaide snarled under his breath. He put away his Comm. again and peered into the distance, then softly elbowing his brother. "But she's out of our league anyway, prince, unless you're all for 'showing your elders some love'." His sentence ended in a chuckle, but Orin clearly heard the hidden disappointment in his voice. Well.. he felt it too. He felt it too.

ZAIDE - A heavy-set Lycandros appeared out of one of the clean white hallways, carrying a hovering retail with several tubes and other frightening instruments attached to it. Zaide felt the lump in his throat thicken. Don't look at it. It's not for you...
"Orin Vkerrion was it? I'm so sorry about the delay," the medic said in a sweet voice, graciously walking over to his wounded brother. Too bad she had one of those nasty Darkwolven accents - which meant she grew up on their homeplanet -, and right now, he didn't feel like banging one of those imperialist chicks. But Orin would probably enjoy his care. Lucky bastard.
"Yeah, but he's kind of unresponsive right now." He didn't even bother getting up, but as soon as he realized that a nurse wouldn't be able to haul a fully armored male canine into the retail, the dark-furred Spec-Ops got up to help her out. Orin grunted, once, but stayed silent most of the time, indicating that he was still under influence of one Stimpack too many. But they're were no side-effects once he'd wake up, so Zaide was more than positive that blondy brother of his would be perfectly OK. He nodded towards the curvy medic, who returned to the public Med-Bay without even minding him.
A sight left his mouth. One hell of a day indeed. Oh, how he would love to go back home again; eating Jumbo's chops, listening to Radge's endless rambling. Take on a job just as intense without getting bossed around all the time. Yeah. He missed his indecency, his freedom. Zaide followed the scent-trail that the medic had left but turned right after a few steps, heading towards his personal quarters.
What if he was fighting on the wrong side? Just because Commander Kamura hadn't tried to kill them yet, wouldn't mean he was a good man. Yes, those Separatist created those GMO's, and that was unforgivable, but he couldn't say for sure if the Darkwolf Empire was that clean either. Odds were they were behind the mutated creatures themselves - after all, their budget and interest in warfare was much bigger than the rebels' -, and that he was actually ensuring that this tyrannic Empire would be able to conquer, capture and torment innocent, free canines for ages.
Undressing himself and placing his armor pieces onto a chair to clean them later, Zaide got into the shower and let the hot steam that came with it remind him of a good, fizzy cinder. He could use a smoke. Pondering on and on, he rested his tired and slightly scarred head against the tiny bathroom's wall, letting the water rinse his dark brown pelt.

Ember would move down the hallway, having talked with Krysia, Ember would walk over to the medbay… With the twist of a secret switch a wall would slide open, ember would look for anyone who may have seen, seeing nothing ember would walk in, to the prisoner they had captured earlier, tied to a metal chair, The room was a grisly sight, with blood along all of the walls, The Trator was bleeding half to death, obviously tortured by Darkwolf Intelligence, Ember would simply smile "Hand me the Logs from the interrogation" Ember said to one of the Darkwolf Commandoes guarding the room, Ember would walk down the hall, mostly empty prison cells and Locked off rooms, It was suprising such an area could be kept secret, On the Official schematics it was simply called an emergency fuel tank, In reality it was a secret "Black site" An area of a ship that does not officially exist, it was mostly dark until ember reached the secret door and exited, little did he know that one of the other cells in the hallway was occupied Inside it was a quinterran, As soon as ember left a Darkwolf Intelligence Officer approached it, "Your allies believe you are dead... Even Ember has been lied to... You're quite resilient, most of the time members of your species break within days... We may still have a use for you, We both know you can use a rifle, Isn't that right? Rynth…" Ember would finally step outside, going to his office where he sat down, reading the logs, his suspicions were confirmed, the rebels were coming close to project VALOR, And they needed to be stopped before the Darkwolf empires cover was blown...

THE RUFFIANS - One flip of a switch and the calming, hot stream of water stopped flowing. Weary like an old man sitting on his balcony and watching the children enjoy the freedom and happiness that was once his, Zaide stepped out of the cramped area, letting out steam when he opened the door. Rubbing the water out of his now scrubbed pelt, he had suddenly realized how tired he actually felt. Every muscle ached, and the noise of the battlefield had left scars in both his mind and ears - which were still ringing. He didn't want to let Orin down, but he knew as well as his wounded bro knew that after the operation of Frostfall, their mission was technically over.
They had done their part. Now the liberation of the galaxy - or its demise, depending on your point of view -, was up to Commander Kamura and the babe. He sighed. Krysia Saw. How he had overhyped the hunt on an invisible deer. She was out of their league, and she would always be. His search continued.

He got into the uniform he found in his closet, and went outside to check up with Orin. Arriving at the Med-Bay, his brother already sat upright - the stitches and scars on his now partially shaved chest were obvious and indicated that he just came out of surgery -, apparently communicating with someone over the Holographic Net. When Zaide got closer, he recognized Radge's pointy nose and a part of Jumbo's broad shoulder, and he couldn't help but smile slightly.
"We're going home, Radger," Orin said in a hoarse yet determined voice. "With a belly full of stitches and a head full of stories.." Ah, that was probably the anesthesia talking, Zaide thought after a brief chuckle left his mouth. But Orin was right. In all their years of doing hired work, this particular job had certainly been the most intense.
"Ey Jumbo," he said, bending over Orin and grabbing the Holomobile from his hands. "Can you make us that sweet-ass rice cake of yours? We'll fetch you some Fizz on the way back." A slightly distorted but happy gruff was heard from the other side, probably Jumbo agreeing and already making his way to the kitchen. He could be softy every now and then, but hey, he was a good man nonetheless. Zaide glanced at his brother. Yeah, and even the prince, king of softies, was tougher than he had expected. After all, they were still brothers, and they saved each other's backsides more than once.
Upon saying their last - rather snarky - goodbyes and see-ya-soons, the blurry hologram vanished. Orin leaned back and rested his head against the clean, gleaming white wall and groaned.
"What a day, huh?" he said, turning his exhausted golden gaze towards the dark-furred Lycandros. "Can we agree on taking on the simple tasks for a while? Breathing hurts.." That damned softy! Zaide chuckled and elbowed the injured blondy, who hissed in pain but couldn't restrain himself from laughing too.

Partially patched up but still full of zeal - or in his mind, at least -, Orin watched Uncle Waze's cargoship come closer and closer to the battleship, eventually suavely landing in its hangar.
"Oi me lads! There'r me dogs 'o war!" the crimson Lycandros laughed as he got out of the cockpit and ran up to the 'lads', who were standing there barely able to keep their heads up. But still, Orin flashed a smile. Even with Waze not being his actual Uncle - the guy was related to Radge, somehow -, it still felt good to get that amiable rub between his ears and that over-the-top bearhug. It was just what he needed now.
"It's been a rough day, Waze," Zaide growled with a faint smirk. "You better have some of that Salri Whisky on that bucket of bolts of yours.." More laughter. Uncle Waze held on to his lads and nodded. Then, the bouncy canine walked over to his ship again and made vague gestures. "C'mon in, lads!" Giving Orin the support he needed, the two of them followed the Uncle into his ship, walked - or stumbled - through the clutter until they reached the roomy, cozy cockpit, where they sat down in the seats next to Waze's. He handed them a drink, told them a barely audible joke and then turned on the engine. "Back home ye go, me lads." Another warm laugh. The warmest welcome Orin could've hoped for.

As the cargovessel flew past Kamura's massive Imperial Battleship, the half-brothers kept their eyes on it for a long, long time. They thought about their first mission on the Wood Moon, about their brief but impressive visit to the Darkwolf Homeworld, and finally, about the intense yet adventurous things they had experienced on Frostfall.
Whether it was a terrific experience or an enlightening one, they both knew they would never forget the missions they did with Krysia Saw and Commander Ember Kamura. The soft beeping of Uncle Waze entering Lycandria's coordinates briefly caught Zaide's attention, but when he looked back again, the Battleship was gone. Sighing but trying to stay positive - which was a tall order for a cynical man like Zaide -, he sat back in his chair and closed his eyes for a short powernap.
But Orin, Orin kept on looking. He gazed into the endless black but sometimes colorful - they happened to pass by a wonderful nebula - void that they called the galaxy, and wondered if Kamura had found their message yet. Either way, he knew that their job was done, and that they had played their part in this war. And maybe that was enough. Because after years of struggle, a hole was punched into the enemy line. And now, the spark of hope relived.
(( Orin's Message: *a holographic image of Orin appears, sitting in a bed in the Medbay* "Commander Kamura. I want to thank you for all that you've done for us, and for your Empire. Though our real loyalty lies elsewhere, we were honored to assist you in liberating Frostfall, and telling the galaxy about the horrors that we've witnessed. There will always be war, of that there's no doubt, but this particular struggle will not last any longer. I wish you and Krysia Saw the best of luck in liberating the planets that you once treasured as part of your realm. Orin and Zaide, over and out." *the last glimpse the Darkwolves were to get of the brothers vanishes* ))
