Alright I'm just gonna go ham with that then-

1992

1992 by Tidalwave

I wanna know
How the others let go
Day after day
I keep running away

Come a little closer
Innocence is over
What is there to fear, now that your alone?
So come a little closer
Innocence is over
What is there to fear, now that your alone?

I stay away
Safe where nobody sees
And I feel sorry for myself
And I feel sorry for myself

Come a little closer
Innocence is over
What is there to fear, now that your alone?
So come a little closer
Innocence is over
What is there to fear, now that your alone?

War on Falling Stars

War on Falling Stars by Project Vela
The way it surrounds us
No light to grace your skin again
The way it has bound us
Like a clock, our time is winding thin

I dont wanna live my life by your beliefs
I dont wanna be caught up in vanity
I dont wanna swallow pills you offer me
I just need to suppress these memories!

I think I've already lost you now
Every trace disappeared somehow
I think I've already lost you to the, war on falling stars!

Embracing the darkness
Telling you that it'll be ok
But its more than harmless
This disease will rip your soul away

I dont wanna live my life by your beliefs
I dont wanna be caught up in vanity!
I dont wanna swallow pills you offer me
I just need to suppress these memories!

I think I've already lost you now
Every trace disappeared somehow!
I think I've already lost you to the war on falling stars!

I know theres no escape from these
Allies becoming enemies!
I know theres no redemption, cause I've already lost
I think I've already lost you now

I like the second verse of that one the most-

Machines

Crown the Empire, Machines

We hold onto the lies, to feel free
SO shackled by smiles, so empty
We're scared of the war so we've forgotten who we are
We've traded in hope for safety
We're raised in the smoke, insisting
That we're all too tired to light the fire and shake the earth

But if all we are is just machines
Then lets become a miracle, and break free from these chains
We must be more than just machines!
So let them hear our hearts
So let them hear our hearts
So let them hear our hearts
So let them hear our hearts!

YEAH!

Where will you run?
When there's no place left for you to hide?
When your faced with the flood!
Will you stand for the future, and swallow your pride?

SOME DAYS, I FEEL LIKE I'M THE ONLY ONE WHO DARES TO DREAM
I SCREAM AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS!
I HOPE THAT I'M PROVEN WRONG!

But if all we are is just machines
Then lets become a miracle and break free from these chains
We must be more than just machines!
So let them hear our hearts
So let them hear our hearts!

Where will you run?
When there's no place left for you to hide?
When your faced with the flood!
Will you stand for the future, and swallow your pride?
Where will you run? (WHERE WILL YOU RUN?)
When there's no place left for you to hide?
When your faced with the flood! (WHEN YOUR FACED WITH THE FLOOD)
Will you stand for the future, and swallow your pride?

If all we are is just machines
Then we must be the cogs
Inside the wheels of change
We must be more than just machines
We cant afford to hide
We must embrace the pain

(If all we are is just machines
Then we must be the cogs
Inside the wheels of change)

We must be more than just machines!
We cant afford to hide!
We must embrace the pain!

(Where will you run?
When theres no place left for you to hide?
When your faced with the flood?
Will you stand for the future and swallow your pride?)

lyrics

I can taste the misery
Spitting out the remedy
All I've been through, all that I've seen
These eyes, this heart still can't dispel the lies

I don't know if I can feel it
Floating downward, fading slowly
Static message, cryptic signals
Cataracts can't see things clearly

Divide the cure from the poison and misery
Sever the ties that enslave and are killing me

Take it all as I stumble and lose control
I was chasing nothing
Take it all, all the torment inside my soul
Watch it fade to nothing...

Scales begin to fall from my eyes
Floating downward, fading slowly
Vibrant message, glaring signals
Brilliant light shines piercing through me

Divide the cure from the poison and misery
Sever the ties that enslave and are killing me
Divide the cure from the poison and misery
Sever the ties that enslave and are killing me

Sever the ties that have filled me with doubt
Wring out this heart make it bleed out the curse that's plaguing my eyes
Gasping to catch my breath, I feel the poison dissolving
Filled with the remedy, I once cast aside

Take it all as I stumble and lose control
I was chasing nothing
Take it all, all the torment inside my soul
Watch it fade to nothing...

Chasing nothing!

Filled with the remedy, I'm gaining clarity
Oh God, destroy what poisons me
Destroy what poisons me

Cure writes some damn good songs. ♥️

Wolves at the Gate recently did this one. The song is called The Cure. That said, I see you enjoyed it, so......perhaps you can message me to see how I got this song before its album dropped?
Oh wait, I can just tell you here--it's $1.29 well spent. Got it off iTunes.

I love the idea of all these people who are standing up to the people who are more privileged, and letting the world know that they are worth it too.

Lyrics
DAVEY
Now is the time to seize the day
Stare down the odds and seize the day
Minute by minute that's how you win it
We will find a way
But let us seize the day
Courage cannot erase our fear
Courage is when we face our fear
Tell those with power safe in their tower
We will not obey!

DAVEY & JACK
Behold the brave battalion that stands side by side
Too few in number and too proud to hide
Then say to the others who did not follow through
You're still our brothers, and we will fight for you

DAVEY, JACK, and CRUTCHIE
Now is the time to seize the day
Stare down the odds and seize the day

NEWSIES
Once we've begun
If we stand as one
Someday becomes somehow
And a prayer becomes a vow

JACK
And the strike starts right damn now!

DAVEY
Now is the time to seize the day

NEWSIES
Now is the time to seize the day

DAVEY
Answer the call and don't delay

NEWSIES
Answer the call and don't delay

DAVEY & NEWSIES
Wrongs will be righted
If we're united
Let us seize the day

JACK
Now let 'em hear it loud and clear

NEWSIES
Now let 'em hear it loud and clear

JACK
Like it or not we're drawing near

NEWSIES
Like it or not we're drawing near

JACK & NEWSIES
Proud and defiant
We'll slay the giant
Judgment day is here
Houston to Harlem, look what's begun
One for all and all for one!
Strike! Strike! Strike! Strike! Strike! Strike!
Oh! Strike!
(DANCE BREAK)
Now is the time to seize the day
They're gonna see there's hell to pay
Nothing can break us
No one can make us quit before we're done
One for all and all for
One for all and all for
One for all and all for one!

I highly recommend seeing this musical, along with Anastasia. ;)

Yeah, Star, totally! Newsies is another musical that I've been meaning to see, along with that Dear Evan Hansen one.

I saw a documentary or something like that about the actual historical event when the newsboys went on strike and...man...it really is inspiring. And these were just kids! (Back when child labor was legal). Lots of them living on the street. And yet they organized and stood up to the powerful news tycoons. It's AMAZING. So yeah...I'm right there with you on the being inspired by that event. Can't wait to eventually watch the musical.

Its Alright Ma Im Only Bleeding by Bob Dylan

It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)
by Bob Dylan

Darkness at the break of noon
Shadows even the silver spoon
The handmade blade, the child's balloon
Eclipses both the sun and moon
To understand you know too soon
There is no sense in trying

Pointed threats, they bluff with scorn
Suicide remarks are torn
From the fool's gold mouthpiece
The hollow horn plays wasted words
Proves to warn that he not busy being born
Is busy dying

Temptation's page flies out the door
You follow, find yourself at war
Watch waterfalls of pity roar
You feel to moan but unlike before
You discover that you'd just be
One more person crying

So don't fear if you hear
A foreign sound to your ear
It's alright, Ma, I'm only sighing

As some warn victory, some downfall
Private reasons great or small
Can be seen in the eyes of those that call
To make all that should be killed to crawl
While others say don't hate nothing at all
Except hatred

Disillusioned words like bullets bark
As human gods aim for their mark
Made everything from toy guns that spark
To flesh-colored Christs that glow in the dark
It's easy to see without looking too far
That not much is really sacred

While preachers preach of evil fates
Teachers teach that knowledge waits
Can lead to hundred-dollar plates
Goodness hides behind its gates
But even the president of the United States
Sometimes must have to stand naked

An' though the rules of the road have been lodged
It's only people's games that you got to dodge
And it's alright, Ma, I can make it
Advertising signs that con you

Into thinking you're the one
That can do what's never been done
That can win what's never been won
Meantime life outside goes on
All around you

You lose yourself, you reappear
You suddenly find you got nothing to fear
Alone you stand with nobody near
When a trembling distant voice, unclear
Startles your sleeping ears to hear
That somebody thinks they really found you

A question in your nerves is lit
Yet you know there is no answer fit to satisfy
Insure you not to quit
To keep it in your mind and not fergit
That it is not he or she or them or it
That you belong to

Although the masters make the rules
For the wise men and the fools
I got nothing, Ma, to live up to

For them that must obey authority
That they do not respect in any degree
Who despise their jobs, their destinies
Speak jealously of them that are free
Do what they do just to be nothing more than something they invest in

While some on principles baptized
To strict party platform ties
Social clubs in drag disguise
Outsiders they can freely criticize
Tell nothing except who to idolize
And then say God bless him

While one who sings with his tongue on fire
Gargles in the rat race choir
Bent out of shape from society's pliers
Cares not to come up any higher
But rather get you down in the hole that he's in

But I mean no harm nor put fault
On anyone that lives in a vault
But it's alright, Ma, if I can't please him

Old lady judges watch people in pairs
Limited in sex, they dare
To push fake morals, insult and stare
While money doesn't talk, it swears
Obscenity, who really cares
Propaganda, all is phony

While them that defend what they cannot see
With a killer's pride, security
It blows the minds most bitterly
For them that think death's honesty
Won't fall upon them naturally
Life sometimes must get lonely

My eyes collide head-on with stuffed graveyards
False gods, I scuff
At pettiness which plays so rough
Walk upside-down inside handcuffs
Kick my legs to crash it off
Say okay, I have had enough
What else can you show me

And if my thought-dreams could be seen
They'd probably put my head in a guillotine
But it's alright, Ma, it's life, and life only

One of my favorite Bob Dylan songs from 1964. It's so poetic and I love the way he tells a bit more and changes the line in each chorus.

The Great American Novel by Larry Norman

The Great American Novel - Larry Norman

I was born and raised an orphan in a land that once was free
In a land that poured its love out on the moon;
And I grew up in the shadows of your silos filled with grain,
But you never helped to fill my empty spoon.

And when I was ten you murdered law with courtroom politics,
And you learned to make a lie sound just like truth;
But I know you better now and I don't fall for all your tricks,
And you've lost the one advantage of my youth.

You kill a black man at midnight just for talking to your daughter,
Then you make his wife your mistress and you leave her without water;
And the sheet you wear upon your face is the sheet your children sleep on,
At every meal you say a prayer; you don't believe but still you keep on.

And your money says in God we trust,
But it's against the law to pray in school;
You say we beat the Russians to the moon,
And I say you starved your children to do it.

You are far across the ocean but the war is not your own,
And while you're winning theirs, you're gonna lose the one at home;
Do you really think the only way to bring about the peace
Is to sacrifice your children and kill all your enemies?

The politicians all make speeches while the news men all take note,
And they exaggerate the issues as they shove them down our throats;
Is it really up to them whether this country sinks or floats?
Well I wonder who would lead us if none of us would vote.

Well my phone is tapped and my lips are chapped from whispering through the fence,
You know every move I make, or is that just coincidence?
Well you try to make my way of life a little less like jail,
If I promise to make tapes and slides and send them through the mail.

And your money says in God we trust,
But it's against the law to pray in school;
You say we beat the Russians to the moon,
And I say you starved your children to do it.
You say all men are equal, all men are brothers,
Then why are the rich more equal than others?
Don't ask me for the answer, I've only got one:
That a man leaves his darkness when he follows the Sun

This was written in 1968 but it all sadly still rings true in 2019.

Turn Into Earth by The Yardbirds

[url=]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1e-ee6ayqTA[Turn into Earth - Yardbirds[/url]
Songwriters: Paul Samwell-Smith & Rosemary Samwell-Smith

How your restless hungry eyes...
Speak of cloudy summer skies...
The morning dew... turns into rain...
Lonely winds will call my name...

Dying leaves of seasons brown...
Losing life as they drift down...
Too soon in life, return to earth...
Only they can know their worth...

Distant dreams of things to be...
Wandering thoughts that can't be free...
I feel my mind turning away...
To the darkness of my day...

Another favorite of mine. The Gregorian chant in the background with minimal instrumentation made it quite intense, especially with Jeff Beck's building electric guitar through the song.

I have more, but that's all for now. Thanks everyone for sharing! I love listening to music I haven't heard of yet.

I only had time to read the first one this morning, but, holy crap--Bob Dylan. This part is really something.

"Disillusioned words like bullets bark

How poetic and poignant.

And yep, I have more too. I'll eventually put more up. XD

That song evicts so much emotion from me. The senior class of 2019 sang this at my high school. We are a small Midwestern town and we lost 3 students over the past 2 years. 2 of them were 18 years old and one was around 16 or 17.

Smooth Criminal

[Verse 1]
As he came into the window
Was a sound of a crescendo
He came into her apartment
He left the bloodstains on the carpet
She ran underneath the table
He could see she was unable
So she ran into the bedroom
She was struck down, it was her doom

[Pre-Chorus]
Annie, are you okay?
So, Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie, are you okay?
So, Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie, are you okay?
So, Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie, are you okay?
So, Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?

[Chorus]
Annie, are you okay?
Will you tell us that you're okay?
There's a sound at the window
Then he struck you — a crescendo, Annie
He came into your apartment
Left the bloodstains on the carpet
And then you ran into the bedroom
You were struck down
It was your doom

[Post-Chorus]
Annie, are you okay?
So, Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie, are you okay?

[Verse 2]
So they came in to the outway
It was Sunday, what a black day
Every time I tried to find him
There were no clues, they’re behind him
And they end up never knowing
Who’s the suspect or what to expect
Mouth-to-mouth resuscitation
Sounding heartbeats, intimidation

[Pre-Chorus]
Annie, are you okay?
So, Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie, are you okay?
So, Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie, are you okay?
Annie, are you okay? Are you okay?

[Outro]
Annie are you okay? (I don't know)
Will you tell us that you're okay? (I don't know)
There's a sound at the window (I don't know)
Then he struck you, a crescendo Annie? (I don't know)
He came into your apartment (I don't know)
Left bloodstains on the carpet (I don't know why baby)
And then you ran into the bedroom (help me)
You were struck down
It was your doom Annie (dag gone it)
Annie are you okay? (dag gone it-baby)
Will you tell us that you're okay? (dag gone it-baby)
There's a sound at the window (dag gone it-baby)
Then he struck you, a crescendo Annie

I'm Bad

Gonna tell you right
Just show your face

Because I'm bad, I'm bad come on
You know I'm bad, I'm bad come on, you know
You know I'm bad, I'm bad come on, you know
And the whole world has to
Answer right now
Just to tell you once again
Who's bad
The word is out
You're doin' wrong
Gonna lock you up
Before too long
Your lyin' eyes
Gonna tell you right
So listen up
Don't make a fight
Your talk is cheap
You're not a man
You're throwin' stones

Stayin' Alive

Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

Music loud and women warm, I've been kicked around
Since I was born
And now it's alright, it's okay

Whether you're a brother or whether you're a mother
You're stayin' alive, stayin' alive
Feel the city breakin' and everybody shakin'
And we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive
Well now, I get low and I get high
And if I can't get either, I really try
Got the wings of heaven on my shoes
I'm a dancin' man and I just can't lose
You know it's alright, it's okay
I'll live to see another day
We can try to understand
The New York Times' effect on man
Whether you're a brother or whether you're a mother
You're stayin' alive, stayin' alive
Feel the city breakin' and everybody shakin'
And we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive
Life goin' nowhere, somebody help me
Somebody help me, yeah
Life goin' nowhere, somebody help me, yeah
I'm stayin' alive
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk
I'm a woman's man, no time to talk

Lyrics:

The wind sings the longest tune
Adrift under the ashen moon
The road ahead has an unforgiving toll
I've journeyed to where I stand
A ghost among the far-off lands
Survive against the fire and the cold

[Chorus]
Walk in the deepest of footprints
Step into the fog
Breaking the silence
A threatening song
On the trail of the ancients
The demons awake
At the end of all evil
The battleground shakes
To the sound of the metal
The splinters of bone
In a war with the summoned
The soldiers of stone
As the vessel of guardians
I follow along
With the words of the wise
In the way of the strong

[Post-Chorus]
Fo-Follow
Step into the fog
Fo-Follow
A threatening song
Fo-Follow
We’re carried along
Fo-Follow
The way of the strong

[Verse 2]
The mountains moving as night falls
In the shadows I hear demons crawl
No fear of death, just fear of something worse
A power comes from the west
Upturning all the dead that rest
Still holding on to the burdens of their curse

[Chorus]
Walk in the deepest of footprints
Step into the fog
Breaking the silence
A threatening song
On the trail of the ancients
The demons awake
At the end of all evil
The battleground shakes
To the sound of the metal
The splinters of bone
In a war with the summoned
The soldiers of stone
As the vessel of guardians
I follow along
With the words of the wise
In the way of the strong

[Post-Chorus]
Fo-Follow
Step into the fog
Fo-Follow
A threatening song
Fo-Follow
We're carried along
Fo-Follow
The way of the strong

[Verse 3]
One goal in mind
A soul to find
Taken by a madman
Trapped within the deepest of these cursed lands
They'll scatter when
I rise again
The spirit keeps the focus
Even when the battle’s odds are hopeless

[Chorus]
Walk in the deepest of footprints
Step into the fog
Breaking the silence
A threatening song
On the trail of the ancients
The demons awake
At the end of all evil
The battleground shakes
To the sound of the metal
The splinters of bone
In a war with the summoned
The soldiers of stone
As the vessel of guardians
I follow along
With the words of the wise
In the way of the strong

[Post-Chorus]
Fo-Follow
Step into the fog
Fo-Follow

Fo-Follow
Step into the fog
Fo-Follow

I was putting together a USA playlist for the 4th and one of the songs was
'Fortunate Son' written by John Fogarty
Some folks are born made to wave the flag
Ooh, they're red, white and blue
And when the band plays "Hail to the chief"
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no

Some folks are born silver spoon in hand
Lord, don't they help themselves, oh
But when the taxman comes to the door
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yes

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no millionaire's son, no
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no

Some folks inherit star spangled eyes
Ooh, they send you down to war, Lord
And when you ask them, "How much should we give?"
Ooh, they only answer "More! More! More!" yoh

I would like it, I already can tell that. Also that reminds me of this song:

You've Got a Friend
By: Carole King

When you're down and troubled
And you need some love and care
And nothing, nothing is going right

Close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest night

You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running, to see you again

Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there
You've got a friend.

If the sky above you
Grows dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind begins to blow

Keep your head together
And call my name out loud
Soon you'll hear me knocking at your door

You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running, running, yeah, yeah, to see you again

Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there, yes, I will

Now, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend
When people can be so cold?

They'll hurt you,
And desert you
And take your soul if you let them, Oh, but don't you let them.

You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running, running, yeah, yeah, to see you again.

Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there, yes, I will,
You've got a friend.

Also "I'll Stand By You," by The Pretenders.

I'll stand by you, by: the Pretenders

Oh,
Why you look so sad?
Tears are in your eyes,
Come on and come to me now.

Don't...
be ashamed to cry,
Let me see you through,
'cause I've seen the dark side too.

When the night falls on you, you don't know what to do,
Nothing you confess
could make me love you less,

I'll stand by you,
I'll stand by you, won't let nobody hurt you,
I'll stand by you

So,
If you're mad, get mad,
Don't hold it all inside,
Come on and talk to me now.

Hey there, what you got to hide?
I get angry too,
Well, I'm alot like you.

When you're standing at the cross roads,
And don't know which path to choose,
Let me come along,
'cause even if you're wrong,

I'll stand by you,
I'll stand by you, won't let nobody hurt you,
I'll stand by you.

Baby, even to your darkest hour, and I'll never desert you,
I'll stand by you.

And when,
When the night falls on you baby,
You're feeling all alone,
You're wandering on your own,
I'll stand by you.

----

I love songs like that.

That song evicts so much emotion from me. The senior class of 2019 sang this at my high school. We are a small Midwestern town and we lost 3 students over the past 2 years. 2 of them were 18 years old and one was around 16 or 17.

The song

</3 love to you and them

Smooth Criminal

[Verse 1]
As he came into the window
Was a sound of a crescendo
He came into her apartment
He left the bloodstains on the carpet
She ran underneath the table
He could see she was unable
So she ran into the bedroom
She was struck down, it was her doom

[Pre-Chorus]
Annie, are you okay?
So, Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie, are you okay?
So, Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie, are you okay?
So, Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie, are you okay?
So, Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?

[Chorus]
Annie, are you okay?
Will you tell us that you're okay?
There's a sound at the window
Then he struck you — a crescendo, Annie
He came into your apartment
Left the bloodstains on the carpet
And then you ran into the bedroom
You were struck down
It was your doom

Annie, are you okay?
So, Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?

[Verse 2]
So they came in to the outway
It was Sunday, what a black day
Every time I tried to find him
There were no clues, they’re behind him
And they end up never knowing
Who’s the suspect or what to expect
Mouth-to-mouth resuscitation
Sounding heartbeats, intimidation

[Pre-Chorus]
Annie, are you okay?
So, Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie, are you okay?
So, Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie, are you okay?
Annie, are you okay? Are you okay?

Indeed it is. Creedence Clearwater Revival was quite popular with the troops in Vietnam with this song,
Run Through the Jungle,
Who'll Stop the Rain,
Have You Ever Seen the Rain, and this heartwrenching song...

Someday Never Comes

First thing I remember was asking papa, why
For there were many things I didn't know
And daddy always smiled and took me by the hand
Saying, someday you'll understand

Well, I'm here to tell you now, each and every mother's son
That you better learn it fast, you better learn it young
'Cause someday never comes

Well, time and tears went by and I collected dust
For there were many things I didn't know
When daddy went away, he said, try to be a man
And someday you'll understand

Well, I'm here to tell you now, each and every mother's son
That you better learn it fast, you better learn it young
'Cause someday never comes

And then one day in April, I wasn't even there
For there were many things I didn't know
A son was born to me Mama held his hand
Sayin' someday you'll understand

Well, I'm here to tell you now, each and every mother's son
That you better learn it fast, you better learn it young
'Cause someday never comes
Ooo someday never comes

Think it was September, the year I went away,
For there were many things I didn't know
And still I see him standing, tryin' to be a man
I said, someday you'll understand

Well, I'm here to tell you now, each and every mother's son
That you better learn it fast, you better learn it young
'Cause someday never comes
Ooo someday never comes

Listen to Someday Never Comes
(I can't help but tearing up every time I hear this song)

Lyrics (english translation in Italics)

Oh, oh, I'm distracted
Oh, oh, soy distraída

oh, oh, I'm obsessive
oh, oh, soy obsesiva

oh, oh, I'm demanding,
oh, oh, soy exigente,

and I have to admit that I'm innocent
y tengo que admitir que yo me hago la inocente
Oh, oh, I'm all or nothing
Oh, oh, soy todo o nada

oh, oh, something distrustful
oh, oh, algo desconfiada

oh, oh, I'm different
oh, oh, soy diferente

and it has never mattered to me
y nunca me ha importado

go against the current
ir en contra la corriente
I am like I am and you know it
Soy como soy y tú lo sabes

and I do not want you to try to change me
y ya no quiero que me trates de cambiar
Oh, oh, I'm just saying what I feel
Oh, oh, solo digo lo que siento

Oh, oh, I'm like that, I do not regret
oh, oh, soy así, no me arrepiento

and when you are with me the sun does not come out anymore
y cuando estás conmigo ya no sale el sol

Oh, oh, I know I'm not perfect
oh, oh, sé que yo no soy perfecta

oh, oh, and your look is somewhat uncertain
oh, oh, y tu mirada es algo incierta

if you stay do not try to save me
si te quedas no me trates de salvar

If you do not love me like I am ... I'm leaving
si no me quieres como soy… me voy
Oh, oh, I have my secrets
Oh, oh, tengo mis secretos

oh, oh, some indiscreet
oh, oh, algunos indiscretos

oh, oh, i'm unpredictable
oh, oh, soy impredecible

sometimes indomitable and other times invisible
a veces indomable y otras veces invisible
Oh, oh, who I'm with
Oh, oh, que con quién ando

oh, oh, where and when
oh, oh, que dónde y cuándo

oh, oh, if you have doubts
oh, oh, si tienes dudas

let me fly
déjame volar

I just clicked translate when I looked up the lyrics, so if this is incorrect, my apologies. I'm not at all a fluent Spanish speaker. I just remembered the general idea of the song and I loved it!
