I did the concept sketch for this:



But the artist took it and really made it his own.

It's no secret that I'm living with a lifelong diagnosis of bipolar disorder, and that I'm disabled. Recently, I was able to have nearly two months of mood stability for the first time in my life. It allowed me to develop a decent nest egg, and I used some of that to buy this tattoo. I'd like to get another small tattoo the next time I'm stable, and the time after that, until I have tangible evidence that all the recovery work I'm doing is making a difference. It can be easy to forget the good times when you're knee deep in the bad, but this will be a nice reminder of all the progress I've made.

Plus, y'all know how much I love skulls. I'm thinking a cat skull next!
