Moriah had sighed when she heard him singing in the living room. She had strong hearing because she cast a spell on her ears to be able to hear from a far distance. She could hear every note he sang, every word that fell out of his mouth she caught. She stood up from her desk, hearing the doorbell go off. She opened her room door, an unsettling feeling hitting her stomach. She went to the door and who stood in the doorway was the last person Moriah wanted to see.
A woman who looked about twenty years older than Moriah with bright red hair that fell past her shoulders and had bright green eyes but they lacked the sparkle that Moriah's had. "What do you want this time?" Moriah asked, her voice cold and venomous. There clearly was tension between the two women, something that went deeper than the skin.
The woman rolled her eyes and grabbed Moriah's wrist. "You need to stop playing this stupid game and come back to the Clan. We are about to go to war and you know that they need you to help. These are your people who are going to die to protect you, Moriah."
Moriah ripped her wrist out of the woman's grasp, glaring at her. "Those are not my people, they never were. I left for a reason, you caused trouble for me and now my life is calm and set, you want to mess it up with those lies you tell with those cold eyes. Now, get out of my life, you might have gave me life, but you are no mother." She growled, clearly not the same person she was before. This Moriah held nothing back, was cold and cruel.

Dale walked away from the window to listen in on the conversation. It wasn't a good one, by his reckoning. He took his headphones, and put them onto his neck, and turned off the music. He had put out the cigarette long ago, and was now dry, so to say. Barbie could hear Moriah say that she wasn't her mother, and at that point, he knew what was going on. This woman wanted Moriah back in a clan. Well, he wasn't about to let that happen. He jumped out from his hiding place, and walked up to the two.

"Hello, Barbie here. Listen, I'm sorry, but I don't think we know you. How about you just go outside, and we will talk about this outside? Hmm? Thanks. Now, I'm sure a person like you will find many people who will like you so, just," And he shut the door behind her, and put his back to it. He turned to Moriah. "Call the police if she tries to open it."

Moriah was shocked that Barbie stood up for her like that, but of course he didn't realize who he had been talking to at the time, the leader of the Witch Clan. She sighed. "Thanks. She does that from time to time, coming up with all these lies to make me come back." She sighed and sat down on the couch.

"No problem. She does that again, tell me. I'll make sure she doesn't come back. Permenatly." Barbie said, and walked forward from the door, then sat on the couch. Moriah looked a little down because of something. He didn't know what, but she did. "What is it, Moriah? You okay?"

Moriah nodded. "Yeah, I'll be alright. It just stresses me out when she comes over." She said with a sigh, sitting back against the couch.

"So, whats going on between you two? I can sense the hatred. Almost smell it, but I think that's me. I lost my deodorant," Barbie said, and sat down next to her.

(Wrong name. )
Moriah sighed. "You probably wouldn't understand, most humans don't." She really didn't like explaining her problems to humans because humans were suppose to know nothing of the real and magic world like witches and all those 'myths' know.

(hush. That never happened. )
"Oh, I'm sure I am an understanding human, no? At least, I hope I'm human. What am I?" Then he stared off into space for around five seconds before snapping back to attention. He did that when he wanted to be comical. "C'mon, tell me your problems. I can handle it,"

(Yes it did! )
Moriah sighed and looked at him. "You are human, no doubt of it, Barbie. I would be able to tell if you were anything more." She said with a shrug. "My mother is the leader of the Witch Clan, but she is a fake witch and is only human but she is reaching towards the age that she has to give up her position so she is bugging more and more to come back." She rubbed her forehead, really tired and annoyed with her mother.

"Well, that certainly would be a helluva lot to take in. You want to talk more about it?" Barbie said, scratching his neck with a little confusion. True, he was having some trouble taking this all in, but he could handle it. It was Barbie, for god's sake!

Moriah sighed and shook her head. "No, its really nothing. She'll have to give up soon and choose someone else to do it." She stood up. "I should probably go to bed, I got school in the morning. Night, don't destroy the house while I'm gone tomorrow." She said.

"You sure? Naw, I got the fort. Dontcha worry, Moriah. I got it, girl. You just go to bed," Barbie said, and he shooed her away repeatedly.

Moriah rolled her eyes at the shooing. "Are you seriously shooing me away in my apartment?" She asked, crossing her arms over her chest but with a grin.

"Shoo! Go to your room! Go! Sleep!" Barbie couldn't help but chuckle at himself while he shooed her away. It was her apartment, and if she did shoo, he would collapse with laughter.

Moriah looked dead straight into his, probably too close to his face, but she never really realized those things. "Are you wanting me to kick you out, mister?" She still wore a smug grin on her face.

"No, I just.. ooooohhhh!!!" And he fell backwards, filled with laughter. He couldn't stop himself for some strange reason. Barbie was just full of himself for some damned reason.

Moriah rolled her eyes, trying not to laugh. "You are so full of yourself." She said, giggling a bit. She couldn't help it, this was funny. She stood up straight now.

"Girl, you have no damn idea. Now go to sleep. I gotta sleep, too," Barbie chuckled, and just closed his eyes on the couch. "I want to sleep. Sleep. Know of it?"

Moriah rolled her eyes. "Fine, fine. I'm going, jeez." She said, walking to the bedroom door. "Try not to destroy my apartment, alright?" She said, walking into her room and closing the door.

"I promise. Ya got my word! However unreassuring it is, I won't burn the house down!" Barbie said, and laid down on the couch, waving his leg back and forth in the air. He fell asleep eventually, but all the smoking and whatnot had made him insomniac, so he barely slept.
